Summer is just around the corner, and AveneR and I are almost finished with school. If you read on the GSS site, you will see that I will be gone for three out of the next four weeks, ending on July 4th. AveneR’s latest real world game project, which is wrapping up this week, will greatly improve GSW under the hood and allow us to more easily add new features and maps.
GSW development has been halted since the last server test, and I am not 100% sure when it will resume again, but I hope that we should have another release (or at least a video demo) sometime in late July or early August. I realize that this is pretty far away, but I promise you that it will be worth the wait. AveneR and I still have some points to discuss before I leave, so there should be one more update here before next Sunday.

Well, at least school's almost over for you (but it is already over for me :P). The thing about GSW developement isn't so good news, however, but I think you'll be able to do alot more work on it soon. :D

That would seem like good news. I hope you do well in your studies at school Max, so summer school won't bother you.

I think GSW needs something soon, a server test every few months will not be enough to hold interest in this project. As long as I am here I will download and play GSW, but the same doesn't apply for everyone. Good luck with another update, and I hope to see a video demo/server test sometime soon :) .

That's awesome that it will improve the efficiency of GSW production. Even if it is late in the summer, sounds like it will be a lot better than last time.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, so untill then, have a nice trip.

I'm losing interest in this fast. I realize it's hard work, but we only have so much patience.
Have a nice trip.

Sea of Time, I realize that we don't have infinite patience, but there simply is nothing we can do to speed this up. Developing a game is not an easy undertaking, and doing it while also doing college or high school doesn't help us any. I don't know about you, but school and "real life" come first for me, and so GSW is only something I work on in my free time, and that's even more the case for AveneR.

I agree with you both, obviously no one has infinite patience, and of course the length of time between tests will put a few people off this game, but as long as there are people visiting this forum, there will be people playing GSW. And like Max said, real life and school ALWAYS comes first, and GSW is a spare time project. People saying they are losing interest will only discourage the GSW team.

Well, not much more to say, but I can assure you there's quite a few people here who actually do have the patience. I know I'll stick here. Heck, I stuck here from just after one test up til the next already, and now I'm almost halfway there again, it isn't really that bad.
