I used this tutorial by a guy from Neverside.com to set up a virtual server on ony home PC. Using the tutorial I was able to install apache, PHP, phpMyAdmin and mysql all on my own personal computer. This is very convenient when testing PHP scrips, or when building a site powered by PHP. I no longer have to upload my files onto a remote server every time I want to test something. I reccoment this to tutorial to any web enthusiast, as it saves time and bandwidth (and bandwidth = money).
Something I've done already is install Invision Powerboard onto my PC, just so I mess with skins etc. So, this is a very comprehensive tutorial, and If I can unsterstand it, so can you.

I've had PHP installed on my home PC for quite a while now; it's very convenient.
