to be added to the petition to cancel the debt. So far over 2000,000 people have done so.

I didn't saw much of Snoop Dogg. In the Netherlands they showed too much of Sting I think...
EDIT: Oh yeah... The Black Eyed Peas sucked. They are not as good as they do on the CD's... :)

There already is overpopulation, or rather, a disproportional growth (India, Asia). As well, if there was less poverty, people would be more educated, and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the more educated people aware of the consequences of sex and AVOID such things until they believe they are ready for a family?
Just look at the US - despite all the horror stories you hear about teen pregnancy, the population has seen relatively steady growth, and in Europe, growth is actually so slow, that it threatens their economy. (Or was that Russia? w/e).
Skya: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:)
Anyway . . .
PINK FLOYD! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ROGER WATERS BACK WITH THE GROUP! *runs around like crazy* ;)
Venus_Man, in case you're wondering, they played Time/Breath Reprise (though AOL said they played Breath, I think they got it wrong), Money, Wish You Were Here, and Comfortably Numb :)
I was hoping they'd do Another Brick in the Wall, but either I missed it, they weren't on air when they did do it, or they plain didn't do it. w/e :)

anyway, I've already signed the petition and sent e-mails to the prime minister, etc, but I suspect that they probably have filters to block those kind of e-mails...
Agatio, it has been proven that more educated women tend to focus more on their careers, having less children, later in their lives. plus, without poverty they'd have much more access to birth control, condoms, etc.
Not to mention that it would be awfully insensitive to let these people suffer and live in these conditions to avoid overpopulation. just think if you where over there, poor and starving, and all these rich countries decided not to help you even though it is easily withing their power. what we need is a solution to BOTH problems (poverty and overpopulation), and this seems to be it.

Live8 is one of the best things the world ever did. And it was a good fun to watch it.

Yeah, my dad told me. I was also hoping they would play Another brick in the Wall. But Money is also a very good song. I really wanted to see them.
If anyone cares, did anyone notice something about Chris Cornell's voice? It was very weird.

The aim of the concert was to raise awareness of the situation like Andross said. Thier trying to encourage people to put pressure on the governments to forgive the large sum of debt Africa owes so that the African government can stop paying the debt and intrest and help their country get on its feet.
And i really doubt the world will become 'crowded'

It wasn't one concert, they did one In London, Paris, Rome, Philadelphia, Cornwall, Tokyo, Moscow and someplace else I think. Apparantley, it was the biggest event ever (most people involved).

even if the cause was righteous or whatever the fact remains it was a crappy pop concert, with Ricky Gervais showing he's about as funny as leproscy. any rock acts where split across the continents with hours between them.
