Ok ppl its me once again and famous and well known Jai (I know ladies im soo hott) ha! :lol: (clears throught)ahemm... -_- It comes to my attention that seems to be more and more cos players out there who completely destroys the very image of our favorite anime characters. I for one will not stand Iddly by and watch a 56yr old russian man that is clearly fat struggle Into a sesshomaru costume its just plain wrong :agitated: . So Im making it my official duty to judge every single Cos play costume I can get my hands on. I would also like any readers of this topic to place pictures of their favorite anime characters in a cos play costume and give their judgement to the costumes the three choices to jude from The good,The bad, and the ulgy. For those of you who dont know what cos play is Cosplay are ppl who go to game expos or whatever and dress up as their favorite anime characters from a tv show or game.

Cosplay is more about the costume than how good you look. Sure I'd rather see Kelly Brook half-naked dressed as Yuna but either way, if you're cosplaying then that's good enough.

This guy has links facial features downpacked but I think he could of tried a more realistic approach with links clothes and weapons overall tho this is not a bad costume I give this guy a C for effort .Final grade=good.

Cosplaying is not technically anything near sad, it's not sad to dress up as your favourite character and go to an expo, I mean when you're little you like to imagine you are a certain superhero or something in those lines. It's more about the design of the costumes, it's like a competition on who can look most like their character etc.

I personally would never do it but I don't have anything against hoes that do.

I think you guys would die if you saw another type of cosplaying.

I can't remember what it's called but, it is ONLY for males. They dress themselves up as female characters. They wear masks that cover their whole heads (those masks are pretty expensive too, $1000 is considered cheap for one of them). And they can't talk.

It is sometimes REALLY hard to believe that the person dressed is actually a guy o.o

I did some tiny research and just to let you know, it is NOT crossplaying and/or Masquerade. ... But it is pretty similar to Masquerade

Masquerade: When Masquerading, cosplayers attempt to act as the character would. They often have prepared skits with memorized lines, and the more advanced masqueraders can easilly ad-lib their character's personality.

If I ever dress up in a anime costume and go to one of these conventions just shoot me on the spot. I could never see myself in any female or male anime character clothes. Anime is alright but it's nothing to base your life on. I could never idolize anyone like that fictional or non-fictional.

I see nothing wrong with it. One of my friends is going to a party today dressed as a guy from naturo. (Think it's same guys as loz's avatar) and his costume looked awesome. Apart from the colour of his hair he looked just like a pic of the guy.

Is "Cos Play" just for anime/game characters? If not, then i know someone who does. my brother in-law has a full black outfit and he is making lightsabers using metal and/or wood. That's a Star Wars fan if you ask me.

I don't care if some one goes out and dresses like a character. It's their life, is it not?

If I ever went to a cosplay which I doubt I would since it's not my style, I'd go as someone from Samurai Champloo because that's one of the only anime series' out there that is based around hip-hop! :rolleyes:

I know somebody who cosplays as Ulquiorra and she makes her own costumes (she's teaching me how). It does get out of hand sometimes, but it's really fun =D and all the cosplayers go on Cosplay.com

I don't understand why you guys have a thing against Cosplaying....

I went to A-Cen a few weeks back and had great fun cosplaying as Vincent Valentine. Running around and bumping into Sephiroths was fun cause we all was like, 'Woah! Enemy spotted! Attack!'

It is great fun for the fans to pretend as their favoirte characters and good costume makes their way on the internet which everyone likes... so they get more attention! :P

I personally think the Link costume was great. If you don't like cosplayers then fine, but don't tell people off just cause their costume are bad because you know what? They probly had spent hours upon said costume. I should know. Anyway, on a slightly different matter, I do agree with you with Lenne. She was a bit fat to be her...

Well, I was going to do either Rukia or Ulquiorra (both from bleach) but I just recently got a haircut and the lady cut it too short. It's now Yuffie short. So, if my hair doesn't grow out by July, then I'll end up doing Yuffie or Saya from Blood + along with Ulquiorra.

I'd cosplay, but there is no one I could cosplay as. With a new, short, hairstyle, I can't think of anyone I could cosplay as. And there are never any events nearby that I could go to to cosplay, and not look totaly out of place. Where would a twenty-one year old guy go to cosplay, and not come off as a loser? Answer, not many. Maybe I could try and get tickets to the next E3 type event. But there is still the difficulty of coming up with a costume that would work for a short cut, blond haired guy with a bit of a roll around the gut, and is over six foot tall. I guess i could wrap myself in aluminum foil and go to the Silver Surfer movie. Wait, that would look wierd.

Blonde hair are so easy to dye...

Anyway, you can probly find millions of people to cosplay as, I see some 35 year old going as Mario for A-cen and he still looks cool.
