This happens sometimes randomly. I don't know what causes it as it's only happened once to me.
I turned off my gameboy and let it sit for 5mins and then turned it back on and the problem was fixed.
Sucks to be you.

Anyways, it doesn't happen to my game. I think there's something wrong with the cartridge. Did you expose it to the sun for a long ammount of time, or anything?

... All jokes aside, I've never seen that before. I think you're more screwed than a little choir boy in a church run by Michael Jackson.

anyways, that happens when a number of things occur. First if your using a game shark to death, or if you don't properly put a game in it's case when your done with it (or mini baggy in the case of GBA games), it's also a possibility that it was broken in the first place, or you were being too rough with it.
My diagnosis; from here on out put games in there cases or buy a GBA multipack case. To solve your imediate problem, here's what I do. Buy the same Golden Sun game from a store that allows game returns. Don't throw any part of the package away. Switch the faulty game for the new one, then return the package with the faulty game inside it and claim that the game was faulty. Make sure that neither game was purchased with credit card because that is trackable, and now you got a new game.
Sorry if my trickery is affensive to anyone.

Wow, I don't think that you should promote an Idea like that, Enoch. That's kinda untruthful. I'm sure that Max dousn't allow stuff like that here.

car(T)man, you should follow my other advice then and forget about the switch idea.

I hadn't noticed that my friend already had 3 saves on the game
about the boxes, i think its quite mean that u dont get a free one with each game, Com'on its just a piece of plastic, can't cost them much...
thats one of the few downsides of gba

And I don't know why they don't have GBA cases.
It's a good question, but for a different section, and so I can't continue on this subject. You should start this topic in the off topic section.
Someone should close this topic.

Okay, new On Topic question: How the hell did you start a new game if all the save slots were full? They remove that button after the last slot fills...

First try to save, if it still doesn't work turn off your gameboy and leave your game somewhere not exposed to heat or any microwaves (peoples game/system can be messed up from the radiation waves that comeout when you heat it). Leave it at the area for about 20-25 minutes, then get a smooth silk cloth and wipe any dust in the chip (needs to be silk or else the other cotton/paper ect material will rub off onto the chip causing more damage). If it still doesn't work, I don't know what to say... Hope I helped :)
