This year, the war between the Yanks and the Sox started even before the playoffs. For the last few weeks, they have been battling for the AL east title. Yesterday, the season ended and both teams made the playoffs.
There are other intriguing stories in this year's playoffs and you can talk about all of them here.

I like the Houston Astros and the Yankees best. I may get to go to an Astros game pretty soon, which will help some nostalgia.

Playing it is a different experience. Well, I guess it depends on the position you play. I dislike to watch sports when I could be playing them. Though, I do tend to watch hockey/football when there is nothing to do.

(YESSS!!)
This sets up a great series in the AL, though. I'm looking forward to seeing my White Sox in the world series.

It seems like it may be a change, compared to most years.

You know, I don't know if any of you have heard of this old cubs story.
The cubs had finally made it to the LCS (cubs haven't won the world series since 1906) and it was like 4-3 or something and the cubs needed one out to finish the game and win the series. The batter flied it out to left field and Moises Alou chased it to the foul wall and when he reached up to make the catch a fan took it from him. Now, as some may know, cubs fans are a large group who take their baseball very seriously. Now this man who stole the catch from Alou was practically shunned by the city of Chicago and had to move away after multiple blackmail and tomato throwing and what not.
Sad story, really.
