OK, I downloaded VBA and I unzipped it. From here I have no idea what to do.
First of all, what do I use the emulator for?
How do I get GBA games onto the computer?
What can I do with them once they are on the computer?
Please, use plain english to tell me about this because I'm not great with computer language. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

1. You use the emulator to play GBA games online.
2. You get them by downloading. This is against the law, however, and forum rules state we can't help you find ROMs (or online GBA games).
3. You use the emulator to play it.
I hope that helps =P

Think of the Emulator as the console. The Emulator is used to play the games, like a GBA is used to play GBA games.
Like MW said, you need to download and unzip the ROM you get. (I use Google search to find ROMs although I usually fail in doing so) Once you do that, open your emulator and open the GBA file to play it. This is pretty much the same as opening a Word Document you saved.
However, any ROM Discussion is against the rules period...

An emulator is just used to play ROMs. ROM stands for Read-Only Memory, and is the information that is actually stored inside the cartridges. So the emulator is just a piece of software that can read those ROMs and simulate the GBA hardware so that the game runs as it would on the real GBA.
However, getting ROMs is illegal, and we are very strict on these forums about discussion of where to find ROMs. All I can say is that if you are trying to find anything about any topic, Google is usually a good place to start.

Alright, I figured out most of it and I'm going to get a flash cartridge so I don't illegally download games. Thanks for the most part, guys.

Flash readers are pretty cool. You can do some crazy stuff with them.

The other good part to owning a flash cart is that you can, erm, play games illegally on the GBA ;P.

Or, you can play games legally on your computer!!!
*looks on bright side*
Illegality isn't cool.

Seeing as this topic already exists, whats the damage in adding to it?
Visualboy advance; when people speak of VBA, is this what they are refering to?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it out on my own.
