Holiday Tree No more Christmas apparently...

Now there are many sides to the story, but it is mainly religious. The government feels that if they call it a Christmas tree, it is being exclusive to all other religions. If they call it a holiday tree, it isn't.
What are your thoughts on this "debate"?

Though I'm obviously anti-religion, it's a good holiday despite the religious background, and the name shouldn't be changed because some terrorist orientated religions think that the name is exclusive to one religion.
It's always been Christmas, everyone knows it as that.
Plus 'Holiday Tree' just sounds ****ing wanky.

Why are they trying to change the true meaning of Christmas, if it wasn't for the Christian fate Christmas would not of been extablished!

anyway, if it is true, it's stupid. it's a Christian holiday. if you're offended by it, chances are, you don't celebrate Christmas, anyway.
besides, you can always call it "X-mas"

It's a frikkin' name. IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. In fact, the "true" meaning of Christmas has practically been forgotten. Now it's a commercial holiday, not a religious holiday.
Besides, even if they "Officially" changed the name of the Christmas tree to the "Holiday tree", people would still call it a Christmas tree since they're used to it being that way. And if Canada tries to make you guys call it a Holiday tree, well I don't entirely know how things are done up in Canada, but down here in the U.S. that would be a violation of your Civil rights.

1. The true meaning of Christmas may have been forgotten where you are from, but not here, besides, it's told in the Bible the true meaning will be forgotten.
2. It is NOT Christmas if Christmas is removed, therefore if you remove Christmas you remove "Merry Christmas" and the Christmas holiday.
Now, I wonder what your founding fathers are saying...

That's the short and easy way, I guess. XD But seriously, politicians must have better things to do than think about negativities of calling a christmas tree what it is. I mean, isn't there a war going on?
