Well every third year me and my family visit my mum's sister and her family. It's a hell of a drive, and all they do is talk about **** I couldn't care less about, but oh well.
I know what I'll be getting from 'Santa', a brand new camera (not that I have an old one), Canon Powershop A610, looks friggin' sweet. So how about you?
Discuss.

For Christmas though, I think I'd want an MP3 player (preferably an HD one). I was looking at some Creative MP3 players but I can't decide yet.
I still haven't decided what I'm giving my mom this Christmas... I'm tired of giving her the normal stuff lol.

From dad... No idea. But I've kind of hinted that I NEED (as opposed to want) a stand thingie to paint on canvas. A small bookshelf would be useful too <<;
As for celebration, I have dinner at my dad's and then I go to mom's until 12pm. And then I go to dad's to sleep. And then to mom's in the morning (on the 25).
The end.

A Leica camera (no chance in hell I'll be getting that for a few decades; costs $8000 US)
Lensbaby 2.0 (could possibly get it this summer if I get enough money)
Nikon d70 (dSLR) (another one of those 'if I get money')
Fisheye Lens/Wide-Angle lenses for my Pentax and Coolpix
EPSON R2800 printer
iPod video...only b/c the Creative alternative sucks, and the Archos one doesn't have a great screen
Larger computer desk
27" Viewsonic LCD TV (HD ready)
WANTS that I'll get:
Holga camera (it's $20, lol!)
Maybe a few filters
Money from relatives...maybe...

They aren't long quizzes that are superhard, but they still count as quiz grades. And most normal high schools will give quizzes out everyday, or at least every other day.
But I digress.
I still want the $8000 Leica for HANUKKAH. But it ain't gonna happen.
So I'll settle for the $20 Holga. LOL.

Adobe Illustrator is pretty self explanitory; I've seen a lot of great anime artists on DA that use it.
Cakewalk is a music producer. You don't need a lot of music experience to make great sounding songs. If you've ever heard of enya, the instruments and vocals are all computer generated. like the background vocals are just her voice, multiplied and automatically set to different harmonies. its really neat
and thats all for now folks!

Camera - Will be getting on xmas day.
CD's - There is a lot of them though, not sure about what I will end up buying.
Sex - Trying to anyway. I won't go into details though for obvious reasons. I want to have it by the end of the year though, we will see.

My friend's got Cakewalk. I've used it when we were mixing up some music to go with a WMP Commercial as a schiool project last year. It's a good choice.

oh crud, now i have to say something topic worthy. umm...hmmm...oh! new gameboy advance games. I just got done with sonic advance and it sucked. I beat the whole game, got through all the characters and got all the emerald and what do I get when I'm finished? "congradulations, thank you for playing!" and credits. thats it. I really want sonic advance 3.

What I want:
-Stereo system for my car.
-Sports exhaust w/ extracters.
-Someone to steal a few inches from under my car, so it's lower.
-Fancy spoilers.
Or;
- A new car.
I somehow don't like my chances though. Even the idea of someone buying someone else a car exhaust is wierd to me.
So. I'll settle for a new sword. That's all.

Sonic Advance 3 is a great game. The annoying thing is trying to find all the chao so you can do the special stages. They're hidden in hard to find places. Then the special stages aren't that much fun.

It sure sucks if you live in NY now with the strike and all. Damn, those people are spoiling Christmas for the those Americans.
#65
Posted 21 December 2005 - 07:46 PM
Eh? A strike in NY? Why?
#66
Posted 21 December 2005 - 07:56 PM
Anyway, as far as I know the NY Transit workers want to retire at 55 years now while paying 2% taxes, they are demanding they get what they want but you see, the Mayor of NY (forgot his name) thinks it's selfish (and I think so too) because they want to get more benefits than Police officers, who in turn do a much harder job than operating a simple train.
Now, this has caused NY ~500 million US per day, which would in fact damage the US already straining economy, which in turn will turn out to be a disadvantage for having the strike in the first place. If you didn't know NY by itself has around the 10th largest economy in the world.
Now, why is this in the Christmas Approaches topic? Simply because around Christmas is the busiest time of shopping and companies depend on this time of year to make a profit. If NY citizens can't go to stores they can't shop which in turn decreases economic activity which in turn ruins Christmas for NYkers and in turn America.
EDIT: Correct me if I'm wrong peeps. Read more on Google News if you want to learn more on it.
