Second is a nice compact one. The graphics look very nice. I think it needs a subtle background tile, as well as an improvement to the font (a tad larger maybe? And darker with more contrast to make it easier to read, though not too dark as to create too much contrast).

Coding is atrocious....as nick commented, it's seriously bloated. You could cut out a lot of crap from it, and there should be no need for preloaded images.

As for the opinion about the page being too green, green is the third most used color, how can it be too green? The only green things are mainly just lines and the advert banner. But then again, this is more a matter of opinion where as the coding thing is closer to pointing out a fact.
I apreciate the feedback given so far, glad to see people are being honest. Again, I have no idea about the coding aspect so I'm going to ask the basic question, do they look pwetty or not?

My friend keeps telling me he wants to add a flash menu sometime in the future, and maybe even a flash banner. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad idea.

It's not really an issue. It's a video game site, and everyone who plays video games has the Flash plugin.
