Welp, I'm sure lots of ya have heard of this by now but there's a new Tomb Raider game. Lara again dons a new look. This time the developers try to make her more girl-friendly by reducing her breast size from DD to somewhere in the Cs, but they still look big (especially in this screenshot, which makes me wonder if the developers really meant what they said XD) and she still has the exaggerated hourglass shape.

Actually, most of the people I know who play Tomb Raider are girls, ironically.

So anywho this game looks pretty good! No, not because Lara's the most famous video game vixen, but because I've always liked platformers where I do crazy jumps and beat up enemies with insane moves. Besides, I can't remember the last time I played a game with a role of a girl. I played a demo on Angel of Darkness (the last TR game) and it was TERRIBLE because of the crap controls, which was really a shame because it actually might have been good if Lara just moved a bit faster and responded better to my commands. But this time 'round, after viewing the videos, it looks like they took out that old, crap control system entirely, and replaced it with a much more fluid control system.

So... thoughts/comments?

I think that this series died a long time ago and for me, cannot be revived. There are much better games on the horizon and it is a bad time for Tomb Raider to make a comeback.

Are you serious? The launch titles for both the Rev and the PS3 look incredible and I just think this will get lost in the shuffle. By Spring, holiday titles will still be in demand.

Uhh... PS3 and Rev games don't come out 'till Fall when the consoles are ACTUALLY released. That's months away from TR 7's release.

Well, a downloadable demo has been released for the PC. At least GameSpot likes it.

This one is called Legends right? Well, it's being released for the GC, GBA and DS too! The first Tomb Raider to be released for a Nintendo console! The GBA and DS versions will obviously be quite different but still...

I downloaded the demo myself. (took about 2-3 hours, the files for demos these days are so big...)

And I gotta say, this game's a lot of fun! The fighting could be a bit better (it's a bit tricky to pull of Lara's extra-fancy moves at first) but the game isn't all about the combat, though; it's about jumping around, climbing around, and solving a few puzzles, and these parts of the game were all well-done. So if you're into this sort of thing you'll get some good fun out of this demo.

The game itself looks gorgeous too, and Lara herself looks quite like a real woman, albeit a woman with exaggerated features. :)

You should really play the demo before you go and judge, otherwise you're just an overly-critical loser.

Anyway, AOD wasn't even on the GBA. The only game that appeared for the GBA was this one:

i think there was another on GBC something about a sword. Commas are used to seperate clauses in a sentence, a new clause can indicate a change of subject in a sentence, like mine did. There be ranted at with A-Level Eng Lang

Personally I wouldn't by Tomb Raider, especially for the 360... I can pick up a copy of Perfect Dark which downright looks much better than Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider died after the last game on the PS for me, I'm fed up of it now. BUT... I won't judge Legends just yet, I'll download it to see how it really is.

Eh? Why not for the 360? The game is the exact same thing on the PC and the consoles, except that the 360 has the best graphics.

360 will chew it up and leave you with something resembling 360, i'm impressed it actually got good reviews, my friend's buying it today so i'll judge it then
