Perhaps Maplers have not found a better game; perhaps Maple Story is their version of your game. You have to remember that you once played this game and enjoyed your time spent on it.

I don't play this game anymore, but when people come into an other game topic they don't play nor like just to randomly bash it, it bothers me. Even worse, when it's the only topic some vetern members visit and talk in - the next time they come in, they see some childish mother****er stirring up **** for no good reason.

Meh, the community around it can make or break the game in my opinion. Fooling around with random idiots does work for me with this game. But now my fooling around community is kind of dying, the game is starting to lose its' appeal.

I'll probably start playing in a month or three again though, the game has that pull back thingie.

Maple Story must be the most controversial game here ): *****es.

I found out I like it cause it's the most basic form of an RPG aka Role playing game. Aka I can go and be a Crusader if I damn well want to. Or a Priest or a Hermit or whatever. It's really is just ROLE PLAYING and it feels nice to work in order to become powerful and then see the results. And there IS a story, it's just not obvious and you have to do some figuring out on your own to set it up in an order. For those who care, it's in a sticky in SW.net (if you care, you'll know where that is :) ).

It's also fun cause of the friends. Sure there's a bunch of annoying *******s, but nothing's stopping you from ignoring them. And when you do find GOOD friends, they are true gems. They'll really make you enjoy playing the game. The best part is that you can share the role playing experience with them.

Maybe we're at squids and we need someone to Mist. Hey Mir, come over, you have Mist, help us. Hey Eow, we need a priest for Papulatus. Hey, we're missing a DK for Zakum. balalalala. ): Let us have our fun.

Leaving my LUK at 37 and the rest will go in INT. I could have left the LUK at 36 I think but oh well. Zakum (big boss monster thingie) can only be summoned in ch 3. And there's some kind of rule that only # many parties are allowed in. Just make a few parties of 1, sit there, don't summon the monster (you need an item for that) but just sit there so that people who want to kill it.

Veng, they were the guys who KS'd curry when he was #1 right? Won't say that curry's not an idiot, but... it's still a tad sad to do. Veng got disbanded and banned for a while, they've been... making new versions of it every now and then.
