I read Harry Potter even before it was popular, The Prisoner of Askaban (movie), was good (I guess the new director is better!), of course the book was better but its ok.
With the 6th book, J.K.R. says it will be the darkest book in the series, no information on the name yet, but sites are saying "Harry Potter and the Green Flamed Torch" but I doubt it will be that.
BTW, I'm waiting for the 4th book movie, I think it will be awesome because Mr. Dark Lord & Moody will be revealed! :(... *Wonders how they look*

Apparentley, Half Blood Prince was the title she was going to use for Chamber of Secrets but changed it. She has also openly said that Chamber of Secrets has HUGE hints about what happens in Book 6 and onwards.

SHe had a large role in the Chamber of Secrets. As did Hagrid, although I don't think he could be a "Half Blood Prince".

1. In the beginning of the book, harry uses a flashlight to read the book, but in the movie he uses his wand.
2. They left out when Percy was named Head-Boy.
3. In the movie, some choir sings this song "Double, double, toil & trouble" but in the book um... Harry arrived late so he missed the sorting...
4. In the movie, harry got his firebolt in the freaking end, in the book he got it like 1/2 through the book christmas present from Serius (not know it was him).
5. In the Film, Granger threw a stone at Harry, but in the book that wasn't even there...!
6. Harry saw Peter on the Map in the movie, but Lunpin saw him in the book.
7. Cho was never to be seen in the movie...
8. Granger and Ron was never so close in the book...

The 4th book will NOT make a good movie. There is no way at all that it will be good. I just hope they make Moody look cool, i like him :).
The 5th book would make a great movie, if done right. I'm picturing right now the awsome parts where Dumbledor does stuff.
The first movie was dreadfull. It's like, completely just a show off of JK Rowlings imagination, making things that fall into normality in the first 1/4 of the book the bulk of the movie.
Oh no! we don't need plot in the HP movie! We just need dodgey special effects and poor actors! Yeah!
From what i've seen, the aim of the third movie is just to make everything as comical as possible. I havn't actually seen it yet, i'm waiting for it to come out on dvd...
#47

I would like to see ______ in the 4th movie:
Moody!! Fake and real!!
Voldemorth!
Quidditch Worldcup!
Three parts of the tri-tournament (especially the last task, and were Harry and Voldie had those scenes, would be the best part of the movie!!)
Any part with Snape!!!
Any part with dumbledore!!!
MUCH MORE! I'm looking forward to that movie!

And i realised after reading it, they casted the wrong actors for the movies. Replace: Dumbledore,Harry,Ron,Herminoe,Malfoy,Sirius,Percy,Crabbe,Goyle. Pretty much everyone.
#62

Although, I agree that Sirius was poorly casted. He wasn't supposed to be a crazy looking guy, he's too cool for that. :P (and my older sister complains that he's supposed to be hot  )
Also, keep in mind that if the cast was poorly constructed JK Rowling would've complained.

Malfoy looks to soft to do what Vodlemort tells him to do, Dumbledore was well casted in the 1st and 2nd but the actor died, Harrys too.......just not what i thought, Rons too big mouthed and thick and crabbe and goyle look like pansies instead of these big bully type kids.

Anyone have AR at their school? (Accelerated Reader) That's how i got started on the books because they are worth like 36 pts. for the 4th book. For those that have no idea what i'm talking about AR is a reading program. You read books that are worth a number of points then take a test on them. At the end of year or every quarter you get to spend points on prizes. Prizes aren't that bad sometimes containing Video Games. (usually cheap)

Things that look sick from the trailer: The mermaids, The carriage that brought fleur and the others. Alot of other stuff. This was the best HP trailer I ever saw.

...Oh my God.
That ROCKED! They should remake the previous movies with that music and that director. This director obviously knows what he's doing. -_-
Although the director for the 3rd movie did well too. The director for the first two movies sucked in my opinion...

This one seems to be changing it all, the music is tremendous, they chose the right scene, they did Harry's swimming excellent. I can't find anything to diss in that trailer! I hope the movie don't turn out a failure.

The 4th movie is shaping up to be awesome. The first two were total crap, since they followed the books almost religiously, leading to a pair of very bland movies, especially to someone that's already read the books. After all, only so much can be described in text before the text becomes boring, and that's never anywhere near enough to make a video interpretation interesting. The third movie was infinitely better than the first two. Thus far, it's been the only Harry Potter movie I've liked, though I have seen better movies. So, I'll just have to wait and see the 4th movie.
As for the books... well, the 6th one fell short of expectations. The story was quite predictable in relation to the previous books, and let's say that certain relationships between characters and certain tragic events were like a stab through the heart.
I mean, I know Rowling said she was going to kill off another well-liked character in the 6th book, but of all characters, did it have to be Dumbledore!?
And then there's Ron getting closer to Hermione towards the end, which although I'd much rather it be Harry & Hermione, it's not unexpected. What is unexpected is Ron being a dipsh*t and getting himself a whore just to show off and Harry going with Ginny! Ghaaa!

As for Ron and his old whore, let's just call it anghst. -_-
Hey Eugine, maybe you could make a spoiler warning in the description so people can know to steer clear of this topic if they haven't read all the books.

Rowling made it clear very early on that she was going to put Hermione and Ron together. It doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense to me, as with Rowling putting Harry with Ginny, but she's the artist and the books are her work. No point in trying to argue.

I don't know what else to say on it. Like I said, when you "see" Ginny and Harry together it makes sense, but when thinking about it I just think, "what the heck?"

I don't mind the wait since I've been pressured for reading time anyway. Meaning that I'm pressured for time to do most of my prior hobbies which keeps me from reading, one of my lower priorities. o.o;

It added a realistic touch. Do you really think a castle full of teenagers wouldn't attract some kind of romance?

I think the ending was awesome! For some strange reason I like sad endings ;). I mean, when TLA finshed with none of their parents dying I was quite dissapointed.
Anyway, I can't wait for number seven!

And on a note about the ending of TLA, it wasn't actually a happy ending, Vale gets destroyed, remember? ;) There was plenty of loss.

I can read a book I'm interested in pretty quickly. I have a fair interest in Harry Potter so it didn't take me long at all.

Well, the new HP Movie is going to be rated PG-13 for us U.S. doods.
It seems like everything is getting more mature these days. XD
I don't know if I'll watch it right away, though.
