    Ah, you did Nick's request? Sorry, I'm not really paying attention to what you say in most of the posts, I just comment on your recent works... ^^;

its good but Im going to have to say the bottom right corner caught my eye sort of only cause the corner rounds smaller then the others...the rest is good, and like andross said shrink the nav a tiny bit.

Hmmm. I don't think the orange text looks too swell, although it does tie in with that... thing at the top of the page. Background is great though. Good job.

It's ok, but you should round the edges on the panels.

Again, been a while. Well I got a new camera today so I thought I would try out some macro shots (I know Sheba and Andross are fans of macro).

Try messing with your white balance in the camera (if you can), or change the colors in Photoshop. Very yellow.

I'm guessing your digi cam can get a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio, which is good for compact.

I think the first pic has the best composition, but I recommend moving that front battery behind the other two in focus, and the one on the left in focus further back as well. Try and move the one on the right closer to the camera and see if you can get it in focus from there.

                          very cool,
i agree with andross, the first is probably the best as a composition... even though i know zip about photography, i hafta say that one is the most attractive =p
Its a great start though, i cant wait to see you actually taking more shots that express more emotion and feeling.

A photoshopped snap I took while away. I think it came up pretty nice sans the lens flare.

EDIT: Would deviantART be worth re-joining or has it totally gone to the dogs? Last I heard Jark got canned and the place started spiraling downwards.

Nice. The gate has an interesting white 'aura' around it, and the shot is well (photgraphy-speak for everything looks like its in the right place and its the right distance away).

I don't like the lense flare though. :P

Yeah the lens flare didn't turn out right, and my brother bashed the image for it as well. I guess I'll steer clear of them in future. The aura/glow took a lot of effects to get, and seems to work out like I planned as being the focal point of the image. Thanks for the feedback peeps, expect plenty more photography/photomanip as I master my camera and find new subjects.

Not really. Everyone REALLY overreacted about that, IMO. It was stupid to can him and the head honcho is an ass, but I know a bunch of great people there, and the photography directors are good people. Garrit especially, as he's a supporter of Unknown Artists.

I don't think the lensflare really helps the photo. And it isn't too compelling. One of the main things is that b/c of the light being harsh, it takes away from the photo. At least you're working to have a single focal length though ^_^

Another great place I go to is called Tips From The Top Floor. There's a podcast, which is very good and easy to get into, and the forums have a lot of great people who are very helpful and knowledgable. It's a great place if you really want to get into digital photography :)

                                    http://www.tipsfromt...forum/index.php

It's not a place with a bunch of 13 year olds running around, so trust me, it's reputable :P I'm Andrew over there btw.
