Just now realized that he made over 100 songs for the first two games. All but about two of which were entirely original (the two in question were the opening theme, which I guess had an extended version, and then Yepp's song, which had one variation).

I hope they have him on staff for DD.

I hope we do get some new (quality) composition and not mostly remixes from the past games. The nostalgia effect would be nice for the veterans of GS to hear some old classics however. I'd like a redone Saturos Battle Theme and Venus Lighthouse.

Personally, I want to see The Elemental Stars redone and possibly remixed. Best track from the series period.

i seem to recall Uematsu doing a rather good job on the FFIV remake score, so i'll take that as encouragement, in all seriousness we're going to get nothing near Sakuraba's best but i suspect a decent score is on the cards

My favorite was probably the Agatio and Karst bbattle theme from the Jupiter lighthouse and the variations of it (like the second world map theme)

There are a lot of songs I want remixed. Isaac's battle theme and Mars Lighthouse come to mind.

Another month and a half until Japan gets this. Lucky assholes.

PROS:

-New Psynergy
-New Equipment
-New Djinn/summons
-New strategic ways to battle bosses/enemies

CONS:

- Cannot revisit part of the world after a certain point in the game
- Cannot revisit the entire world map/towns end-game.
- we do not get to battle alex for a 3rd game, once again.

I have the game in japanese on me.

Well, I suppose that's not impossible.

Send any data relating to the game that you find while playing through it (new summons, new psyenergies, weapons, screenshots, etc.) if you can. I'll upload it to the site for later publication once the game is released (people hate spoilers, apparently. :P).

I think I've caught a glimpse of one of the bad guys...Japanese fanart sites rock. (This one is good)

at any rate, I wanna know about the map. assumingly, we have the same world map, correct? I saw a screenshot where they were in the mercury lighthouse, at least. Are you forced to take the same route as before? Or are there new places to see? Ooooh ooh! and what about lemuria? do you get to use a boat?

I'm practically drooling on myself waiting to get this....

from what i have seen and heard, the new world map is similiar to the old one, but with the rebirth of alchemy and the golden sun, and the world being resotred, the map has changed a little bit. i know i saw a youtube video compairing the new and old maps to each other. and there were differences. just looking forward to getting the game come chirstmas. heh, ill be staying out of this part of the forum from the time the game comes out to when i get it.

Is Psynergy damage still fixed or does it increase through level-ups? This really bothered me in the first two games.

That commercial is pretty funny, though certainly not as epic as this one:
