Anime and cartoons are not genres like horror and sci-fi are genres as you've seem to put it. Anime and cartoons are in a larger subcategory.
Saying anime or cartoons is it's own genre is like saying all films are their own genre.

Yeah, it's really embarrasing to go up to someone and say "I like anime" and have them think you're obsessed with watching spongebob.
Do you catch my drift? Technicalities and all that wonderful shiznit make them seem the same, but I would rather die before letting people think I watch daytime cartoon Network for a hobby. And as an artist, calling anime the same as a cartoon is an insult. As a viewer, you don't understand the difference, but just trust me and freaking drop this-- they're not the same.
ANYWAYS
next pet peeve: mom has a bad day at work & then comes home and complains about the dumbest stuff. Seriously, she went off on my dad how he turned off the light in their closet and she wasn't done in there (she wasn't even in there!). And she complained about this for nearly half an hour. Honestly, my parents were away last week on vacation, and I slightly hoped their plane would crash. I don't have a relationship with my dad, and my mom is just a controlling, OCD, psychotic freak 99% of the time.

We never said they're the same. One is a genre inside the other. Anime is a style of cartoon originating in japan. Spongebob is style of cartoon originating from Amurrka. I used to be an avid anime watcher (can't say much from an artist's point of view), and really - I found it just as awkard hearing it called a cartoon, but that didn't make me stray from the truth; Anime is a form of cartoon.
I know what you mean about your parents. They can suck sometimes. Parents in general, I mean.

Years 7-10, unimportant, completely. The only possible worth while thing is Maths, because each year of school just builds on that.
Year 11, only important if you do a 3/4 subject (I highly suggest you do, makes Year 12 a lot easier having one subject down)
Year 12, more important but regardless, VCE and school as a whole is overrated. There are so many ways into Uni or Tafe if you don't get a good Enter score it's not funny.
Moral of this, have some fun in School, I was too serious in my younger years in that I never skipped and I always did my work, I regret that now because it was such a waste of time, none of it has benefited me now. I'm laughing now at all the Year 10 and 11's at school who are all stressed about their upcoming exams, they shouldn't be, they don't count for ****.

My point was that I don't understand how people can just decide one morning that they don't feel like going to school, well aware that they'll get slapped with twice as much work the next day, and probably a detention, or how their parents can just allow it.

Or the biggest reason, going straight into Uni after School without a GAP year. People need it, how dumb are you if you think you'll be fine launching into a 4 year degree or 6-8 year Masters/PH.D without a break after Year 12. I'm taking time off next year to work full time in a warehouse, sure it's crap work but it pays awsome.

A GAP year is pretty much a year off in between Year 12 and going to Uni (for those who do) most people either work (me) or travel, or other stuff. It's pretty common, the ADFA does special GAP year programs, pretty much basic solider training, no overseas deployment, you learn some stuff and get paid pretty much 40k. I thought about it but I can't commit to a full year.

And also, it may be a bit pathetic that I'm talking about this on some online forum but I have to. I need to just get this off my chest but I don't want to have to verbally talk to anyone right away, plus it's difficult for me to talk about it.
Today I was playing a couple of Wii games and I switched on Radiant Dawn to listen to the music in sound test. I finished RD back in July, exactly when I was completely alone at home for about ten days. During those ten days I used to do only three things: play RD, rehearse for my exams, and play and talk and simply spend time with my dog, who some might recall died two months ago.
When one of the tunes in RD started playing, it reminded me of that time I spent with her. The music seemed like it was connected to her. Three days ago it was exactly two months since she passed away, and not one day has gone by without me thinking of her. And even after such a long time I still manage to cry about it. The moment I heard the RD music I suddenly burst into tears like a stupid little baby.
I guess I can consider myself lucky. She is the first person of any importance to me to have died. But I just miss her so much. Just sitting next to her, and looking at her and stroking her had such a soothing effect on me. I was devastated when I failed to enlist at the faculty I first wanted to, the one I had been preparing for for years. I avoided all of my family members afterwards, and went straight to see her. She really calmed me down. I don't know how, but she did.
About two weeks ago I had the most wonderful dream I'd ever had. I dreamed that I was sitting in the garden and suddenly from around the corner, she came running up to me, all happy. I was ecstatic, it was such a surprise to see her. When I woke up the dream was the only thing on my mind, and I didn't want to wake up at all.
Heh, I was able to just stare at her for a full hour. All I felt when I was in the garden with her was love and joy and relaxation. God, do I miss her. I would do anything to have her back. And here I am again, crying my eyes out over the keyboard.
So yeah, that's pretty much all I wanted to say. I just can't talk face to face to anyone about this.

Right now I'm sick of Beyonce songs. Not the artist herself, but the dozens of songs I'm hearing which are just carbon copies of that musical style. You know what I mean; the ones with the stomp-clap beats, synthesised melodies and generic airy-voiced female singer, complete with backing vocals.

Pretty much the entire RnB, Hip-Hop and Rap genres.

I find that quite a few bands in other genres have that problem too. 'ts why I usually only have a few songs from most of the artists in my library. Save for System of a Down, Coldplay, and Muse, of which I have dozens of their songs.
Heck, thanks to my friend, I may just have every song Muse has ever made.
Right now, I'm bugged with my lack of ability to get into bed at even a half decent hour. For some reason, I just keep finding things to keep myself awake with until 5 in the morning.

Seriously, the bleeding isn't the bad part. Unless you're not expecting it. Which is also another pet peeve. But it's the headaches, the constant grogginess, the nausea, the cramps that feel like Chuck Norris just roundhouse kicked you in the stomach, the bloating that causes you to gain 5 lbs. And it happens every. effing. month.
I would go on birth control so I didn't get it only 4 times a year, but my parents are worried that I'm going to go on like, a sex rampage if they give me birth control. Which is retarded.
Parents= pet peeve #2.

I have to disagree. Getting a red-covered dick isn't all that bad, just keep going and afterwards clean it. The blood in your mouth? That's just disgusting. I only had it once, luckily. I never do any of that shit now if my girl is having her period.

And Riad, at least you didn't trip or do anything clumsy! Just wait till the next class and sit next to her, that way you have the full lesson to converse with her.

Pet peeve right now is waking up at noon. I've been doing this most of the summer. But today I woke up at 11:30 AM FUCK YEAH PROGRESS
wut
Also, lawl. I'd been waking up at like, 3-4PM all summer. Then we go on vacation, and suddenly my internal clock wakes me up at 6-9AM every day.
But congrats on you're progress.

Almost the same thing happened to me. I went with my brother's girlfriend on a semi road trip to their family winery. 5 hours there and 5 back on the same day. Now I wake up at like 7AM every morning despite my want + need for more sleep. It's lame.

Laharl, you're 20-something and still live with your parents? ahahahaha, epic fail.
anywho, people telling you to call back in 5 minutes then dont answer their cell need to fucking die.
You can't really judge him. Perhaps something occurs down the road and you're in your twenties at home. I do recall him saying he needed to move back out from his parents' place. I also remember, ages ago, him speaking of a roommate on MSN once or twice.
Seriously, you need to read posts or I'll start warning you like I said. >:

Though I really I doubt I'll end up living with my parents when I'm in my 20's. Except maybe for a little while right after college. Maybe.

And no! this time i read it perfectly... but any reason to rag on Laharl I'm gonig to take. Like he respects me or cares what I think anyway. :). But even so, he's 20, it's the end of summer, and he's talking about needing a new place, meaning he's obviously not in school and therefore is either bumming off his parents, or has a job and is still bumming off his parents untill they kick him out and he actually has to think about what to do in life.

yes, because everybody who lives away from their parents is the owner of a fortune 500. :) puh-leeeeeeeeeease, get a clue.
And like I said clearly he isn't going to school, so what, pray tell, are you doing Laharl? Living at your parents till an epiphany can pop into your head?! I WANT FUCKING ANSWERS!

Alright, I'm going to make my pet peeve judgemental assholess. Ones who don't even consider all the possibilities when trying to list them in order to prove a point.
No one in particular comes to mind, but damn, people like that make me wanna choke a bitch.
