Has anyone here played FFTA for GBA. It was ok, the battle system I didn't like. HEY! Does anyone here know that FF1 and 2 are coming to the GBA for the holiday season. This is a great chance for me to get into a new game series.

forgetAP in later floors, even if you've mastered it, a dressphere with high defence will save your life countless times.

And no, Yuna doesn't EVER get hit, not even Trema can hit her.

I beat Final Fantasy X-2 a long time ago, several months I think. When you get to Chapter 5: BLITZBALL! One of my favorite parts in the game. It took me a while before I went to beat the game because of it...

Just felt like making a quick post here. I just got a message from nintendo saying that a new final fantasy game is out for the GBA. Final Fantasy 1+2 Dawn of Souls. It looks sick and alot like Swords of Mana(which I have). A must buy for me what about you all?

Like I said the game looks alot like Swords of Mana(A game I have and think is a very sick game. Why it was rated so low I don't know.) I would also like to get my hands on this game as well but iam not a FF fan and I don't tend to play alot of FF games. no, the adamantite isn't worth the effort but i'm getting everything, the gunner's gauntlet is crap but easy until the last two satges i'm stuck on lvl9!

Adamantite gives

Defence +120
Magic Defense +120
HP +100%
Auto Wall
Agility -30

iron duke is much better

maybe it's two or three injuries then if you get two many then you can't put out a team.

yes yes, but ain't complaining to much, i liked ffx alot better. ffx-2 was the whole new battle system and the percentage and what was it 4 different endings? didn't have the concencration span. i got to 3rd last boss then just helped my friendfinish it and watch the ending there.

Yeah, your right. Itself is a BRILLIANT GAME the first time through. But after you've beaten it, its not really a game that yuo beat again. FFX-2 sorted that out though. Heaps of replay value there. Why else would they put in the "New game +" feature?

I should really hurry up and beat the dark aeons. Cant be bothered. i know I can do it, coz my Kimahri, Auron and Tidus Dish out 99 9999 each hit, and have about 20000 HP each. And Auto pheonix. I only have ribbon for Kim though. 99 dark matter is so goddam hard to get.30 Wings of Discovery was hard enough (90 actually).

to get ribbon equipment just kill a dark aeon again and again until it drops the one you want. You ideally want Break HP Limit, Ribbon and two spare slots, Yojimbo is a good source as you can kill four times then save and reset and fight him again so you make money whilst you fight, although you need about 120 luck in order to hit him.

Blitzball in X-2 was nothing compared to blitzball in X. I am hardly playing blitzball in X because I'm having so much fun fighting. Yesterday, I got 2 uber awesome players on my team: Brother and Wakka. They have great stats.

I suck at Sphere Break, I couldn't win, but then I waited until Chapter 5 to challenge Shinra. Lucky for me, I beat him and got the dressphere.

I chose New Yevon. I hated both the Youth League and New Yevon from the start, but the Youth League seemed to consist of more annoying people, so I chose New Yevon. But by choosing New Yevon, you can't get 100% completion.

Well, both games have music by Nobuo Uematsu. Most, if not all FF's do, therefore I think the Music in X and X-2 are both the same goodness. lol

Yes, sphere break was pointless, but to all those who say its hard I laugh at. Just have 1.2.4.5 coins, one of them being a multiple echo. With those numbers, you can make a combo to get anynumber between 1-9. Which is, incase you do not know, right up Sphere breaks Alley.

Again with the music, X-2 is probably better in the regard to Yuna standing up and singing two of them. *drool* so coool. I downloaded the FMVs.

I like the music from both X and X-2, but if given a choice of owning one and only one of the soundtracks I'd go for X. Suteki Da Ne is a wonderful song. I like Real Emotion and 1000 Words just fine, it's just that they're not very Final Fantasy-ish.

I love all of Nobuo Uematsu's FF music, he's a genius. But he's left Square-Enix (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!) and so won't do anymore for FF. I wonder how good the music will be in upcoming titles ... anyway, I can't wait for FFXII. ^^ Looks amazing so far.

FFTA is a good game, I got it for xmas. I'm stuck on the third Totema, the one where you have to catch that ghost then you teleport. I'm not high leveled and I get killed by the three dragons, never mind the Totema.

You have to level up more and forget the dragons, strike the totema hard and fast, if you beat it you win. No one can beat my assasin though, or my paladin.

i have ffx international and ffx-2. but if you go into eb or any other game store and look for ffxI you won't find it, the only i can get it is by either shipping it from the states or getting an illegal copy. but since the game looks like something that fell outta my ass i'll pass on it.

Yeah, it is something to do with talking to Khimari ... but it's been a while. =S Umm, I know it's annoying but you could always check out a FAQ or walkthrough on the net for it.

Yeah, ive tried a few few FAQs, but they all seen to differ. One says talk to to him AND all the Ronso's in chapter one, and answer there questions correctly. Another says to only talk to Kimahri, and answer him correctly. I thought I'd might as well ask someone here who had it.

Ok ... *digs out old info* This WILL work, because it worked for me. ^^

When you talk to Khimari (before Chapter 3) you must answer him by saying:

"You have to learn to deal with these things." in Chapter 1.

And then

"You have to figure this out on your own." in Chapter 2.

He will then give you the dressphere in Chapter 3 when you talk to him.

Dark Knight
Warrior
Alchemist
Gunner

I used to use Theives a lot, but not anymore.

Yuna = Lady Luck
Paine= Dark Knight
Rikku= Alchemist

It handles most feinds, but against bosses, I have all three dark knight-ing.

How many here have beaten Trema?

I've beaten him. God, he was so annoying, considering he had 999,999 HP.

I think it's a bad idea to fight bosses with three Dark Knights. With no healer and only items to use, it's pretty harsh. When I went against the Angra Mainyu, I used two Dark Knights and an Alchemist. This is my normal party setup:
Yuna: Gunner
Rikku: Alchemist
Paine: Dark Knight

Meh.

I like using the berserker dressphere, its awesome, and you can get evade and counter with that dressphere.

But what I don't like about it is that the Berserker doesn't have really important moves like the Dark Knight and the Alchemist.

Hmmm. Maybe I wasn't to clear. I mean 3 dark knights early in the game. Theres no way you could beat Angra Mainyu with no healers, like you said.

My typical party in the latter case is:
Yuna= something strong (Dark knight/ berserker) Sometimes lady luck
Rikku= Alchemist
Paine= Dark Knight

But if the odds are REALLY against me, I use the Gunner+Catnip. The other two are Darknights with HP increasers and defence boosters.
Takes the fun out of it though.

Catnip is the second best item in the game. When your HP is low, you strike for 9999 damage with each hit. The best item is Invincible, since it lets you strike for 9999 HP damage no matter how much HP you have.

I reckon the best item is the Iron Duke. I can't remember what it does exactly, but heres what i think:
+100 strength
+100 defence
+100 Magic
+100 M.Def
+100% HP
+100% MP
+50 luck
+10 Agility

I may be a little off with some of the figures

Oh yeah, and the catnip also lets you heal 9999 when you use say a potion, mega-potion or a pheonix down.

If you spoke to him during chapters 1, 3, and 4, on chapter 5, he'll let you go on a boat, and then you can reach the accessory on a platform.

Something I suggest you should get with Lulu is Doublecast, Flare, and Ultima. Also, maybe get these auto-abilities on her weapons/armor: Turbo MP and One MP Cost.

Back to the "praise the Alchemist subject"; you know what really defines it's greatness. Dark matter + nearly anything (Via Mixing). It renders the entire party invinceble. Yes, when something comes up to attack you, you dodge, and the little "immune" thing comes up. A beautiful site...

However, Dark Matter is a pain to get hold of. I've got 2: One from beating Paragon, and one from Beating Trema. Supposedly, you can bribe Paragon into giving you some, but I have better things to do with 2,000,000+ Gil.

BTW, Turbo MP doubles the MP cost of spells, but strengthens them by 1.5. For example, since you're going up against Sin, have Lulu Doublecast Ultima (if you have it). With Turbo MP and One MP Cost, one Doublecast of Ultima will only cost 4 MP, instead of wasting 180 MP w/out the two auto-abilities.

I equipped Tidus with the best Avenger sword ever. It has these stats:
Strength + 3%
First Strike
Evade and Counter

Ultimate weapons are the best because once you activate them, you can deal over 9999 damage. Activating legendary weapons also lets certain aeons deal over 9999 damage. For example, Yojimbo's attacks can exceed 9999 damage once you activate Auron's legendary weapon, Masamune.

Where is the best place to fight monsters, and to get alot of experience?

I'm in the Zanarkand Dome, and the monsters there are great to train against. The best enemy group there is two YKT-11's and one YAT-97, or one YKT-11 and two YAT-97's. They give you 11,800 AP when defeated.

Damn to the depths that stupid chocobo reacing game in the calm land's. Gah, I just cannot do it. So, I can't activate the Caladbolg.

However, I have the Spirit lance, Nirvana (easy), Masamune and Godhand all powered up ready to go.

I have the other weapons, but Lu's sigil is to time wasting, I don't play enough Blitz for Wakka's Sigil and Tidus's is to hard. For me.

I find that training goes nice when you have:

• Double/ triple AP
  
• Triple/ Double Overdrive
  
• Overdrive to AP
  
• {insert anything here}

You get 10+ sphere levels for a healthy battle.

Yes, Bahamut is uber awesome. He has all black magic, has the only unique attack that damages all enemies, and does more damage with his normal attack than any other aeon (except Yojimbo, Anima, and the Magus sisters; they're stronger than Bahamut).

Technically speaking, yes, they are stronger. But, you don't have full contol over Yojimbo or the beetle Trio. Anima is the stongest, biggest peice of... uh fish head? That I've seen.

But you are correct, all 3 of the formentioned Aeons are stronger than bahamut. Just look at passado. 9999 9999 9999 9999 9999 etc etc.

But then, there's the Delta Attack. I've never seen it (I haven't beaten FFX yet and I defeated the Magus Sisters before they had a chance to use it in FFX-2). I heard it's really powerful. Anima's Oblivion, however, is better.

I've never experienced Anima's and the Magus Sisters' Overdrives. I played FFX-2 first, and I always killed both aeons before they had a chance to use their Overdrives, and I haven't beaten FFX yet. Since I don't have any of the hidden items from the six Cloister of Trials, I can't get Anima. Therefore, it's impossible to get the Magus Sisters. *takes a breath*

Damn. I can't really discribe Delta Force, but Oblivion you can see when you go against Seymour for the first time, I think. Other than that; It basically sinks your party below the ground, then Anima's underneath starts beating you to death. Not pretty.

The first time I fought him and her, I died miserably. Now, it takes a few hits and Seymour is out, then Shiva-rize Anima, and take out the remants of Seymour.

I beat Seymour on my first try, and he was really easy. He actuaslly had an order of casting his -ARA spells and Multi -ARA spells. It went: Blizzara, Thundara, Watera, Fira. Let Yuna use the Nul spells in that order, and it's simple.

I'm not sure if there is that many HP Spheres in the game to fill in all empty nodes on the Grid. My Kimahri just invaded Tidus' Sphere Grid part. I'm then gonna travel foward on the grid, getting Hastega and such. Once I reach the end, I'm gonna have Kimahri go a little through Yuna's grid, then through Lulu's...

My Lulu has Doublecast, Flare, and Ultima. Complete OWNage...

You can get HP sphere's off monster's in the arena. I can remember WHICH monster's, but If you play your cards right, you can get 99.
Same with teleport sphere's... I've got quite a few of them. Well. HAD quite a few.

Blitz is on of those games where yu suck for the first 5-10 games, then after you work out how to play, you wont ever loose again. First thing to do is put it in manual control, so you control everyt thing the person carrying the ball does.

Yes, it does. It all matters on pressing the X button while in the Fayth at the end of the game. There are three endings: Common, Good, and Perfect Ending.

For perfect, you need 100%. I forgot to press X while in the Farplane last time I beat it, so I missed the Good ending. And I havent seen it fully in ages!!!
