I miraculously managed to drop my iPod Touch into an inch-ish of water. Grabbed it back out really fast, it's been 3 hours since and still works flawlessly.

Well as long as you got it out fast, and put it in a relatively warm environment (like taking a hairdryer to it), the water should've dried up quick enough to prevent the iPod from dying.

Though I suppose you'll find out over the course of the next few days whether there's actual damage or not (a lot of times, if it's only slight water damage, the device will work fine for a few more days. Same thing happened with my phone, though I suppose the damage was a bit more than slight...).


Also, if you ever decide to take a hair dryer to your handheld electronics, keep it at least 8-9" or more away from the device. Else you might risk frying it.

This thing is sealed up pretty tight. Plus, the top of it hit the water before the back of it did, where the earphone jack and whatever you call the place where you put in the cord to recharge. Pretty sure I grabbed it out before the sensitive bits came in contact with the water. I hope so, anyway, I love this damn thing.
