Right. Are you sure it's your TV and not the AV cables? If it's your TV, you're looking at spending a fair amount of money just to listen to the shitty Wii audio. Nintendo being nintendo doesn't have any option of digital optical audio so you're screwed there. How new is your TV? Can you get a WiiHD cable? Otherwise the cheapest solution I can offer... buying a receiver. If you lived closer I'd offer to dig one up and send it to you with some speakers.

You'd be paying major shipping fees for an old junker. It'd be wise to just go with something new or slightly used. What's the shopping situation like over there? Do you have Best Buys or anything of the sort?

Nah. Most of the stores are local or regional. I hardly buy electronics directly here. Usually order them from a US based store, or let my foreign family members post it to me. I usually order in batches, because it's much cheaper... so I dunno, maybe I'll get it this summer.
That is far way though, so I need a cheap quick fix. I'll just check a technician sometime to see what he can do.
Or maybe get an old receiver.

Also, particle accelerators are easy to make. Particle accelerators capable of making new elements on the other hand.....not so much.

My little brother of 9 doesn't like it either anymore. The quality of the games hasn't been good for a while with the exception of Gold / Silver remakes (which I yet have to play) but it's still pretty damn popular.

Those Pokemon look pretty bad btw. I'd pick the fire piggy I think. Why didn't they made a lion fire starter I'm wondering now. I would've liked a real lion Pokemon.

Wouldn't you know, I read Deception Point and Digital Fortress first. The library always had copies of Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons taken out, so I gave his other books a try.

Deception Point was amazing. Digital Fortress was ok but somewhat underwhelming. I tried Angels & Demons next, and correctly predicted who would be the betrayer, what the climax would be, and so forth. That actually made me angry, because objectively speaking, I do think A&D has the overall better theme, which makes me wish I had read it first.

MGS4 does NOT deserve at 10, by the way. Neither does GTA IV. Both are great games (I've played each twice) with extremely impressive tech for the time, and both should be remembered for that and set the bar for future games (again, as gar as tech goes.) But their predecessors were way better games.

This isn't aimed at anyone, I just gotta get it off my chest. You're a fool if you actually follow arbitrary numbers that reviewers put in these reviews. It's ridiculous how gaming culture treats a number out of ten as gospel, why are numbers more important than what's actually written in a review? Gaming culture and journalism is extremely retarded.

Furthermore, why make the number out of ten when you're just going to use the school grading percentage? Very rarely does any game worth writing about get below a 6, so why not just use a star ranking or a scale of 1-5? If I were to start a review site, fuck, I'd just make it a scale out of 23, that's how much sense it makes.

Anyway, nerd rant over. I just have a bone to pick with gaming journalism. Fact: most gaming journalists never even took a journalism course in college.

Yeah, I honestly have a problem with ratings, too. Notice how if the game ranks any lower than an 8.5, it's deemed a shitty game by some people. Let's take The Last Remnant for example. It's not a great game, but it has its own merits and overall has a rating of 7/10. I saw people who didn't even play it say it was a terrible game because it's score was "so low".

Ratings used to mean something back in the day, now reviews in general deserve the hate and distrust they get.

True, Eugine, but the game has to be near perfect anyways to be considered a ten, and the only game in the past five or six years that should've ever gotten a ten, or damn close to it, was Pokemon Platinum.

IGN or GameSpot used to put the word "perfect," under a 10, I'm pretty sure... (both sites gave GTA IV and MGS4 10s by the way) but at any rate, my problem with review scores is how people interpret them, not what they give to games. They can give games whatever score they want, and you kind of proved my point. The numbers are completely arbitrary. Some people think a 10 means a perfect game.

Reviews are better off without any kind of ranking.
