I completely agree. I've been saying that for months now, they made remakes of Red and Blue, why not Silver and Gold?

Nintendo likes money just as much as the next company. And if I would buy it (I don't buy very many video games) I guarantee a lot of other people would. They would profit from putting time into a remake.

Battle Revolution looks promising to with the customisable character feature. The models are STILL the same though. Very disapointing, since they've been using them since the N64 Stadium games. What I DO like however, is that the Pokémon finally physical hit each other, and leave trances of their attacks in the area your fighting in.

Just out of interest:
Hikozaru (ヒコザル)
hi (kanji: 火) means fire; kozaru (kanji: 子猿) young monkey.
Moukazaru (モウカザル)
mouka (kanji: 猛火) means roaring flames; saru (kanji: 猿) means monkey.
Goukazaru (ゴウカザル)
Gouka (kanji: 業火) meaning hell-fire; saru (kanji: 猿) means monkey.
Notice how "火" can be said as ""hi" and "ka" depending on the context. That's my Japanese lesson for toay. Hai.

I think the trick is to battle wild pokemon non stop (no healing), and you might catch it. Once you have it, you can heal your pokemon at a pokemon center, but it'll go away after a number of repeated healings.
I used a cheat code once that gave me a bad egg, and my party caught the Virus. Getting a bad egg is another way to catch it, but it's entirely random, and only happens ata a day care.....I think.....I can't remember if bad eggs are cheat exclusive.
Anyway, if you don't know, the poke'virus will greatly increase all the stats of your pokemon when leveling. It's like a macho brace for all of the stats, but multiplied 2 fold or something.
BTW, I've got a team of lv100's in Ruby. *coughcheatscough* v.v;

Mars Djinni, on Feb 28 2007, 05:19 PM, said:
Yep. That's only through an event, which can be replicated with a cheat. It allows you to get either latios or latias, whichever one isn't flying around the continent after you beat the elite 4. You have to get a special ticket (provided by the cheat) and the captain of the ship (I think it was the S.S Anne) has to recognize it (yep, a second cheat to replicate the event). Once that is done, he says something about wondering why you would want to go there since nobody ever wants to go there anymore, and takes you there.
As for the cheating, I got bored with the game, and experimented with many cheats, which involve an Action Replay for the GBA.

GVs (Gender Values) are random numbers from 0 - 255, and when paired up next to another random number, calculate whether the Pokemon is male or female.
Now, here's the deal. The GV can land on the gender breakpoint - the value that is the transition between Male and Female. If the Pokemon has the breakpoint value as his GV, then it is a Mirage Pokemon.

[EDIT] Here's a link to IGN's review of the D/P demo at the Developers Conference. There's some screens there too (60 pages of 'em), and it looks like the game is going to be somewhere between 2D and 3D. It looks more 3Dish to me though.
[EDIT 2] Nintendo's first online game for the Wii: Pokemon Battle Revolution (that's not a alink to the main article, but a link to the main article is on that page)
The good: Much better graphics compared to Colesseum, obviously new poke's, attacks are better animated
The bad: Personally, the people look like freaking retarded monkeys. Their ears are too big, and their heads are out of proportion. I'm not exactly in love with the new city either. It looks like a child's playground built by MJ.

This is what it comes with. If you want to get one, don't let anyone try to sell it to you for more than $40. That's what I payed for it at Wal-Mart, that's what it's worth. Nothing more. The MAX version is probably worth $50 - $60. It's been a while since I've even used cheats, so I don't remember what the MAX costs.
http://www.planetgameboy.de/artikel/images/actionreplay/ar2.jpg
The CD for the PC is the same size as a gamecube disk. I have this version, it's got the USB port on the side just like the MAX version does, and both have a button and a switch on top.
http://gamewolf.com.tw/wolfmall/wolf/gba/01.jpg
That's the Action Replay GBA MAX. Note the USB port.
The thing about the action replay that's so much better than the Gameshark, is the fact that you can use it to replay any of your games from any save spot as long as you have it saved on your PC. It helped me get a good 2000+ rare candies, about 1500 Master Balls, and the Aurora Ticket needed to get to the island where Latios/Latias is hiding (one of them will be flying around Hoenn, the other will be on this island. It depends on what version of the game you have). Don't use the walk through walls cheat. It may be fun, but you'll just end up screwing yourself and having to start the whole game over. Unless you have you're save file on your PC. ;)
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/160/10231custom2pf9.jpg
As you can see, you insert a GBA game into the AR like so. The cartridge in this one is not a GBC game, and no it does not work with GBC games.
Does that explain everything?

Yes, it is. You will of course get an error message after you upload your save file back onto the game, but everything will work like it should regardless. Infact, the gameshark pro that was made for the N64 was origionally designed by Datel, who makes the Action Replay. So it's just as reliable, if not more so, than the gameshark.
Now enough chat about AR, I don't want an unholy barrage of electricity shot in my direction.
I tried out the demo for D/P the other day at a Gamestop in Portland Oregon. To tell you the truth, I was dissapointed. The new character looks like some *** french gguy wannabe with his ghetto hat on, the overworld map looks unatural, and a lot of other stuff. But then again it's a demo, so what can you expect?
The good thing about it though, was the graphics for the attacks. They're improved from the advanced series.

In R/S/E/FR/LG, my Rayquaza uses Hyper Beam and shoots a stream of orange balls at the enemy. In G/S/C, the screen strobes and there's this massive sound effect of pure energy. Awesome.

It should just be a yellow beam with some backround effects. No spiraling ball thingy.

On a side note, is Judge Mario from something? Or did you just make him up MD? [/not well informed]

The reasons I'm getting Diamond are as follows:
1. I like the main legendary Pokemon in Diamond more than Pearl. Plus, it's a Dragon/Steel type, which is pretty cool.
2. The Diamond-exclusive Pokemon seem better than the Pearl-exclusive Pokemon. Diamond has Rampard, who, as I said earlier, has the second highest Attack stat out of any Pokemon in existence.
3. I just like Diamonds more than Pearls. =P
Here are two more additions that make Diamond and Pearl even better. While Gold/Silver/Crystal had Morning, Day, and Night, Diamond/Pearl have Morning, Day, Afternoon, Evening, and Night. The other cool thing is that Scizor is in the game. I LOVE Scizor. =D

I have crystal and gold, and I knew someone who had a silver version too. They were both pretty good games IMO.

I know it's not a judge sword. I called it that 'cause that's the staple weapon for FFTA/FFXII Judges. The sword design I had in my head for a while now and I wanted some way to put it into play. Now shut the hell up and get on topic.
*Ahem* I'm not sure if any of you know this, but when trading from different language games, Diamond and Pearl offers extended versions of their Pokédex entries, meaning that if I have a North American version and I trade with, say, a Japanese version, the Pokémon I'll receive will unlock a Japanese Pokedex entry (as well as an NA entry if I already have that Pokemon). Originally, the difference between Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, and English Pokemon were their names. This new feature's not really necessary, but it might be something people will be wanting to collect for a "perfect" game.

Get a description of pokemon which I'm unlikely to be able to read? I think only extreme fans would be desperate for that.
