I ordered 4 just for the hell of it, I already have sleeves though and these things just suck. So bulky and they add weight to the Wiimote. Took about 4 days to arrive.

I bought Twilight Princess as well when I bought the Wii.

See, it was either buy the Wii with two games or but the Wii with one game and one accessory.

So, I bought Twilight Princess and another remote and a nunchuck. Overall it was 380 dollars. More than I wanted to spend, but I was going to buy those things one day anyway, so it's all good.

Next, going to get a GameCube memory card and gamepad so that I can play all the GC games that I missed and play Ocarina of Time off the Virtual Console.

Get a 2GB SD card form Radioshack too. I'm not sure if the Wii can take SDHC (4Gigs and up) cards, but I do know that Radio Shack probably still has some on sale. It's great for storing VC games and other stuffs. And as far as I know, there's no difference at all between the Wii SD cards and the regular ones. But, I could be wrong.

Oh... I won't be playing it until the 8th of November. It'll be in my cupboard until then. That's when my friends are going on excursion for 12 days and I'm not because my teacher won't let me, but I won't be going school during that time either. I would much rather go with them to Egypt than stay here playing TP for 12 days, but this isn't bad either. :( I won't be playing it before then because I've barely got time for anything. Playing the Wii now would ruin my preparations and studies that I'm going through now. Not only that, my brother has a few more days of exams so he has to study until the 30th October or something. So we have decided to wait a bit. I'm not very impatient. It's just another 20 days.

It does suck. Oh, it sucks so so much. It'll be so good in Egypt, they'll be swimming in the pool after getting pissed every evening and each room will have a mini-bar. My teacher isn't letting me and a few others go because of health problems. I've got asthma, so she doesn't want to risk taking me although I would most likely be fine. I so wish she would let me go, but I'm not all down because of it. I've learned to cope with this kind of stuff all my life. You have to when you have asthma. It's just a shame... It's my last year of secondary school and I won't be going with my friends.

I've started playing my Wii two days ago. I've managed to begin before the 8th. I don't have much to study or learn before my friends go to Egypt. So yeah, I'm not gonna post in the TP topic because of spoilers. Just wanted to say the game is great, I've just finished the Forest Temple. The temple is a bit unimpressive, but I loved the boss fight. Very fun, though too easy.

I'm not. The only other games I want on Wii are Corruption and Brawl. That's it. And unless Bioshock or something similar gets ported, then i'll remain with my 360. If some other titles are announced, like Pikmin 3 or some awesome RPG, then i'll buy that, but I just dont think the Wii has a very good range of games. The ratio of hardcore games to the ' lets make everybody in the whole world ever buy a Wii' games is about 1:10.

A couple of guys in the room down from mine have a 30 inch HDTV along with a PS2, a Wii, and two high-end PCs. We play Melee and Halo on a regular basis every now and then. However, I don't have any video game console, and games like Metroid, Mario, and especially Fire Emblem require lots of time, which I wouldn't have.

Basically the only video games I play nowadays in college are the occasional quick bouts of Melee or Halo 2, and that's all.

So can anyone suggest which of those three I should get along with FE?

Yeah, I won't be able to play Bwii soon either, so that's about how I'll be doing it too. I won't be getting all four of those before Bwii though.

Get TP definitely. It should be required that Wii owners buy TP for the Wii if they haven't already bought it for GameCube.

I played it for more than 60 hours my first time through. The game is HUGE. Galaxy/Corruption probably won't amount to close to 60 hours.

Anyhow, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 has been released and it scored an 8.4 on IGN. They say the controls are the best for any FPS console game ever. The online multiplayer is smooth and has tons of customization. I think I'm going to get this game some day. I believe watch was interested in it too?

From what I've played of the game, it's even darker/melancholy/depressing than Twilight Princess (which admittedly wasn't that dark/melancholy/depressing, disappointingly) and I just eat that kind of crap up.

Anyhow, MM is my favorite Zelda. I can't compare it to Twilight Princess yet, since I'm not even halfway through TP, but I like Majora's Mask more than OoT and WW. I didn't find it as dark/melancholy/depressing as everyone says it was though.

Is MoH 2 comming out this holiday season? Because if it is, then I've got a new game to consider. I've always liked FPS's, but the gamecubes severe lack of them, along with no online whatsoever left me longing for a 360. But Brawl and a few others left me wanting the Wii. Either way, I'd end up with the Wii due to cost. But still, a decent FPS is definately a plus.

I got Galaxy and it's pretty awesome. A tad dizzying sometimes, but what's a bit of puke for a good game? (I'm kidding.) It's got some great SM64 refrences, and Sunshine ones too.

I got Galaxy too! I love the atmosphere of the game. It feels really friendly yet it's still challenging. It's better than I imigined it to be, since I'm still pretty pissed of what the same creators of this game gave me earlier : Donkey Kong Jungle Beat which unlike Galaxy has ZERO references to earlier DK games while Mario got the best treathment possible. Although, if they don't make a sequel to JB, I'll forgive them for this. Galaxy is awesome. :)

Is there a lightswitch nearby that isn't turned on? At my house, there's a lightswitch right by our computer that turns on and off the electricity to the outlets that our PC is plugged into. We put tape over it for obvious reasons.

Everybody has a personal preference. Gametrailers are the reviewers for me, every time i've bought a game guided by them, I haven't been dissapointed.

I haven't finished OoT, I originally played it as a ROM but stopped, but I think the reason why everyone says that OoT is the best Zelda game (and perhaps the best game created) is because it was really amazing for it's time. And it's still a good game now, but I think there are probably better games.

I'll play it on the VC after finishing Wind Waker Crysis, then Wind Waker.

Hmm... perhaps. I suppose it's well-known that I enjoyed WW very much, and I will argue that it bests even TP in certain ways. At any rate, the difference on gamerankings.com between WW (94.7%) and TP (94.2%) is hardly large, and both are great games in the top 35 best ever.

That said, SMG has officially moved up to 97.9%, again making it the most highly rated game ever. Quite a feat.

Ok, guys... Endless Ocean, aka Forever Blue.

It hasn't been released in North America yet(I think) but it has in Europe. It's been getting pretty good reviews(35 from Famitsu). I'm not sure whether I should get it or not. It sounds great, and I can picture myself enjoying it, but is it really a gamer game? So, have any of you played it? If so, what do you think about it?

Sorry for double posting, but I've got Wii problems(lol).

The console switches on perfectly, but often when I put a Wii game in(my only Wii games being Twilight Princess and Wii Sports) it won't read the game disc properly. The game channel in the top left corner says which game is in the console, but the machine makes odd noises and it won't start the game when I attempt to. The strange thing is, it always succeeds when I try again and whenever I wipe the CD with a soft cloth before inserting it. Plus, all of my GameCube games have absolutely no problem switching on. I take excellent care of my console and games, and the discs have barely any scratches.

Has this been happening to anybody else? Could the laser be defected, or am I just unlucky when it comes to dust?

Hmm, I'm not sure actually, I never experienced that sort of problem with my Wii. Granted, I haven't played it in a few months (it being back home... *sigh*), the best I can come up with is maybe you're inserting the Wii disc in too hard, instead of having the system load it into the slot on its own.

Yeah. You're supposed to lightly feed the discs to the Wii and let it do the rest. I like doing this. When it glows blue it makes me think I'm playing a console from the future oMFG!!

Yeah aqua, you dont shove the disks in, you put the edge in and it will pull it in.

I do like this, and the blue Wii light, but if your console breaks with your disk inside, you're screwed, you cant get it out.

Once again I apologize for double posting, but it's not my fault nobody's posting in this thread, and I have to ask...

I can't seem to find the European release dates for Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 anywhere. My Mom's going to Britain in about 15 days, so I'm going to tell her to get as many Wii games that I want to play as possible. Galaxy and Corruption have already been released in Europe, I'm sure of that, but I don't know about those two games... Can anyone help me out here?

This is the best I could find. - Link - Unfortunately, FE: Radiant Dawn doesn't have a release date for Europe yet (and the list goes through Q2 of 2008). MoH isn't on the list either, but I did find this from Wikipedia:

Does Wii have those happy-pappy "look im wigglin the wiimote lolz" type games? Yes. However, to every hardcore gamer, whenever they try to argue that the Wii isn't for them, I always ask, have you actually seen and played those games? I mean, jeez, Nintendo's effing Holy Trinity, it's most sacred franchises of Mario, Zelda, and Metroid have all seen critically-acclaimed entries within the first year of Wii's existance, and Brawl notwithstanding, the Big N's other heavy-hitting franchises are coming out too.

No Nintendo fan should be complaining.

Yes, but Ninty doesn't have enough genre's covered. And I always hated all of those movie games. The producers need to just be satisfied with the money that the movie brought in. To mee, it's like what happened in the common room. Only it's STILL happeneing. Drop the S.H.I.T., drop the movie games, get some decent titles to cover the genre's that Ninty needs to so desperately cover. Get some RPG's for Christ's sake!

They have a fighting game, they have a strategy game, they have a platformer/adventure game, they have an FPS/adventure/puzzler game, they have ANOTHER adventure game, but they don't have a good RPG that I know of so far. I don't know whether MoH:H2 is a good shooter, but if not, then they need to get a real shooter as well. I also haven't been too impressed with NFS:PS either.

Believe me, Galaxy and Radiant Dawn are both great. I havent gotten far enough in TP to judge yet (though the beginning is really boring), but the same goes for Pro Street. I haven't been happy with either yet, but I haven't gotten very far in either one either. However, I enjoyed every other NFS game (besides Carbon) from the moment I picked up the controller. With LoZ:WW, you got into fighting or some kind of combat pretty quickly, and the same goes for this game as does WW.

I simply want Nintendo to get some more 3rd party developers that are good. Camelot, Intelligent Systems, etc., they just don't produce enough hard hitting titles. They've got great titles, but there just aren't enough of them. Four or Five games isn't enough. Ninty needs more support.

The thing with most of the ' holy trinity' is no replay value. Once you've completed it, there's no reason to play it again, unless you're obsessed. Metroid does have some replay value, because of the different endings, but it seems a bit of a drag just keep going at the game at a faster pace.

Resident Evil 4, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, GH:3. 3 3rd Party games, RE about 25 hours, Godfather about 50 hours, and GH is unlimited hours of playtime. Seriously, why *****? Just stop being a tightass.

Far Cry on the Wii sucked. I heard the controls were terrible and the graphics are... ew. It's proof that graphics do matter.

It is an opinion, but he's entitled to that. What we're saying is that Toasty seems to have too high expectations for games. Not every game is a Ocarina of Time or a SMG or Crysis/Halo. Some games are mediocore, but still good. I like to say the Wii has alot of good games, but not many great games. There's still nothing with good!

For the Lego game, just do reaserch and see what the faetures of the Wii remote are, and if you dislike them, them go for PS3 or Computer.

DLC. Downloadable Content. Extentions/expansions for games you already own. Take Shivering Isles for Oblivion for example. You can download it for your PS3 version of the game. (grrr)

And I don't hate the Wii, I just think that Nintendo still doesn't seem to realise that the reason why the GC was slaughtered last genereation, was because it only had a small handful of awesome games, and only a few great games. Both other consoles had a lot of good games, and more awesome games than the GC.

I just hope Nintendo gets their act together and starts churning out some hard hitting titles.

In the first year they've brought out a Zelda, the last MP in a series, a new Paper Mario, a new Mario (SMG), a slew of Mario related games (Mario Party, Mario Strikers Charged), all the first party releases on the Virtual Console, and in the next few months we have Brawl and Mario Kart for Wii. What the **** Toasty, really. You come out and say the Wii has no good games, and that there are no first party titles, when you aren't willing to give the 3rd party games a shot (see my previous posts), and you fail to remember the amount of first party so far.

And how can you say SOny will fail is the PS2 was the best selling system of all time, and the PS1 had SOOOOO many great exclusives. Sony was much better at making walkmans, steroes, TVs, etc. I would much rather have them focus there attention on quality products, rather then wasting time and money on gaming.

It did surprise me that the titles weren't spread out more. TP was 2006 whilst Metroid and Mario were both 2007. I can only guess that after Brawl they'll either be a new one from one the main 3 or *gasp* something completely new!

Brawl so far looks liek the only GREAT exclusive for 2008, but they could pull something out of their ass, but so far, SSBB is the only one.

Metroid and Galaxy did come out a little too close together if you ask me. I can't remember who here said it, but Brawl being delayed was most likely the reason being the new fiscal year. Finish strong for one year, start strong the next.

I am not a fanboy, I love Nintendo. I hardly ever play my PSP, and I use my DS almsot every day, so the fanboy comment is null.

The PS1 and PS2 were cash cows for Sony, and the PS3 will soon be profitable to Sony. Microsoft has yet to regain losses made from the Xbox through the 360, and is possibly still in the red since they had to put aside 1 billion for 360 repairs. But the 360 is selling at a profit now.

Nintendo possibly made the most profit from the gaming industry (since they never sell anything at a loss), but Sony has made tremendously more than Microsoft. I still believe Sony had made the most though, through the tremendous success of their first two consoles.

I mean, if you look at sales alone for the PS2 VS. the X-Box and the GC, the PS2 WRECKED the GC, and the X-Box, put together, and Nos says that it was a waste of time and money.

As with regards to the game situation, the main ones for the year won't be announced until E3 time (is it going ahead this year, after last year's E3 lite?)

They reckoned that E3 just lacked the big news that it had previously. It just doesn't seem to be as important as it used to be.
I remember back in 2004 when they announced the DS and Twilight Princess. Back then it was really important. I just doubt the Wii will reveal anything big there.

I have to laugh that you even put Wii Fit in there. Come on. You don't need to spend 60$ on something you can do yourself, without a game telling you what to do, especially with the internet.

When was the last time you saw a good Tomb Raider game. The PS1 that's when.

Why should the new FF CC game be good, the first one wasn't.

The only good games on that list are MK and, well, the way the Star Wars games have been gonig, it's either hit or miss, no in between.
