Play peek-a-boo and just rock them gently. You don't have to do anything fancy, just smile and be tender with them. I remember feeling the same way when my baby sister was born. I was scared to death of even holding her, and after a while, you sort of just relax and ease into it.

The guy who runs my module is a published poet but he spoke about how people don't tend to enjoy things that are personal to the poet. Some poetry is brilliant but a lot of the stuff submitted in the module is just depressing.

I stopped drinking soda for over a year simply because I never had it around. Afterwards, it tasted disgusting to me. Then I kind of got used to it again, and I'll drink it every now and then if we get it with pizza or whatnot. But usually, if I'm at a restaurant or something, I'll get water or something else that's not soda.


However, I've been drinking coffee on an almost daily basis now, and I think I'm starting to get addicted to it again. I walked by the cafe in my highschool the day before yesterday, and the smell of coffee was REALLY tantalizing.

Well, my friend who lives in Spokane drinks coca cola a lot, but they've got the classic formula there. No synthetic crap, just sugar and natural flavors. I think I'd actually start drinking soda again if I had access to that stuff. I also really miss coca Cola black. :( Coffee+Coke is actually a really good combo.


Anyway, to those of you trying to get off soda, I highly suggest you do it. They say it takes three months to break a habit, and soda is really not good for you. :\

i never understood how walks and marathons help save anything. The money is what's saving people. It'd just be easier to hand the different foundations some money and say "here, find a cure" rather than running around wearing a shirt that, hello, costs money? I always thought that was odd...don't you think they could raise more money by not buying shirts for all the participants. I mean, its great to get out there and show that you support something (hell I participated in a diabetes walk not too long ago) but part of me kinda feels like it's pointless.

It's called advertisement. The idea is, that by having people buy shirts/magnets/etc. (where most of the money spent goes to the charity anyway), the word gets spread around more, which convinces more people to buy the shirt/etc. which in turn gives more money to the organization.

It's a positive feedback loop.
