When she comes back online, I'm going to tell her I'm not interested, because I have close friends who've been caught in the middle and it hasn't been "all that enjoyable" for them. I figure this is the safe thing to do, since I only really want to be friends with her anyway, but what do you guys think?

And now, after asking her out, we're dating. There's details for you.

Fair enough then.
I'm stumped because I really liked this girl, so I figured I'd ask her to my School Formal. Now in Australia that would tend to mean something, but because she's Mormon and American (Mostly American) her perception of dating is clearly different. Apparently the big thing over there is just dating heaps of people 1on1 with the intention of just getting to know people better, with no other motives, as preperation for later on in life. This was awhile ago and I'm still WTF?

IMO, serious is when you know everything about that person, they know everything about you, you truly LOVE them (like, you couldn't see how your life would go on without them), and you want to get married some day.
#1638
Posted 24 December 2007 - 04:47 PM
AKA the starting to get serious stage is already seriousish.
#1639
Posted 25 December 2007 - 01:30 AM
But yeah, that's what serious is. But there's obviously different levels of seriousness. Just like the different levels of sillyness. Except opposite.

Icy, +10 exp. :(
I've never been in a relationship either, mostly because I'm just waiting for the right girl - I've never been comfortable with the idea of just dating here and there to "try clothes on and see what fits" (not my phrase, one of my classmates said this once).
The right girl, the right relationship, the right moment, the right first kiss, the first true love. :(
I can wait.

Advantages:
1) You aren't distracted by the opposite sex, except the hot female teachers. (dunno, could be a disadvantage too ;_^_^
2) There's no girls to compete over, so you wouldn't feel left out if a girl you are attracted to chooses another guy.
3) I think you generally do better due to less distractions.
4) I think you generally make better buddy friends cuz there's no girl to steal the thunder. lol, it's so surprising how things change when girls are in the equation. I myself have hardly talk to some of my old friends due to girls in college x.x
Disadvantages
1) Hard to find a girl if you're looking for one.
2) Guys are guys. You'll have to conform to the countless amout of sex and pornography discussions
3) It was very annoying to see only guys from about 8:00AM to 2PM monday to friday x.x

Ugh I know this guy who will draw a knob on anything. Seriously, when the teachers leave the room he'll go up to the board and draw them. He's a bit of a freak but its quite funny.

Aahhh, now for a relationship.
SO. Last night I went to formal, and this guy I kinda like (His name is Luke. Irony, right?) danced with me toward the end. I know he likes me, but then we slow danced, and it was all akward. I couldn't look at his face for some reason, so I put my head on his shoulder, but I think that gave off the wrong message (that it seemed like I like him more than I actually do). But then I had to go and be a stupid confusing biatch and when he gave me a hug before I had to leave (my parents were picking me up. Lame, I know.) I kissed him on the cheek. But I don't even think I want a relationship with him, I just like him a little. I know he's liked me for a while (Each time I've danced with him at Homecoming he always develops a crush on me) and then around december I started to like him a little too, but I'm afraid it's much less than he likes me.
Gah! It's so confusing. I mean, I've been wanting for the longest time to fall in love, but once I'm given the oportunity, I scream and run the other way. I'm not sure if it's that I'm afraid of commitment or what. I mean, he's really nice and isn't afraid to be himself like most guys I know, but I just can't see him being the boyfriend type, much less myself being his girlfriend. And I know I totally gave off the wrong signals.

You know, I've kinda been like that lately. There have been girls interested in me, and vice versa(well, I'm not interested in them, only their bodies), but I just... Can't have a real relationship.
And I think it's funny that you're screwing with his mind. XP If you don't want to be with him, then don't. Simple as that. What do you care that he's got the wrong impression?
