Getting through the fog is harder than I thought. And very annoying as it makes most of your attacks miss in battle :/

Besides, who needs Masterballs when you have Duskballs? They give 4x capture rate than pokeballs.
Atm I'm going through the foggy route after moving the psyducks. Without Defog. Yay.
If you haven't gotten Defog, go to the great marsh and talk to one of the guys in there. He's at the beginning. But I didn't know that at first, so I did what you're doing. D:
But II also had a machoke who's ability made all attacks land, and then my luxio knew shockwave as well.
And I also don't think that I'd be able to catch so many high level pokes at full health if this trick wasn't real.

if you really want to prove this then do a study. Capture 100 of the same pokes at similar levels at full health. Throw 50 balls whilst pressing up and B, and 50 without. Tally up how many you caught first, second or third time for each condition.
Also you didn't specify how many balls you threw at it with full health before it caught it. If its any more than 3 then I think you're definitely deluded.

Select Pokeball and press A twice to throw. Immediately hold down B+SELECT+LEFT. When Pokeball hits, release LEFT, and press/release DOWN each time Pokeball bounces. When Pokeball stops bouncing, release DOWN+SELECT and mash random D-Pad buttons.
I CHUZ U ENTEI!!

I don't do it every time. Only when I really need to, or just feel like it. Which is about 1/4 of the time. And every time I've used it, except for 5 instances, it's worked. And I've used it a lot more than 5 times.

When I was doing the "Evolved your own pokemon that need to be traded without trading trick" to get my Golems, I needed to make a random trade in order for it to work. I was hoping to find something like maybe a version exclusive for version exclusive, so searched for Misdreavus to see if anyone wanted Murkrow, but half the trades are just "I want level 100 Palkia lololol"

Caael, I don't know why you're bothering to train up so much. I reckon I could beat you now. I've just crushed the Hearthome gym with ease, I reckon I could tackle you :(

In a completely unrelated matter, who else noticed that with the original 3 legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres); their names spell "Uno, Dos, Tres" (1,2,3 in Spanish)?

Without sequence breaking and going to places you shouldn't, it goes Zapdos ( In the power plant), Moltres ( Somewhere) and Articuno ( The twin islands near Cinnabar)

EV training is enjoyable. =D It gives you a sense of accomplishment when you raise a really good Pokemon all by yourself. Then again, I spend most of my time in Pokemon games catching Pokemon and messing around.

IV is Individual Value. They're the invisible stats of your pokemon that determine how it will grow. They are set when a pokemon is caught and cannot be changed. They are determined by a pokemon's type, (Rock types tend to be slow with high defense, bird types are fast with low defense etc.) environment, (Grass, park, forest, cave, etc.) Nature, (Shy means high defense, Adamant means high attack etc.) time of capture, level of capture, and probably a few other things I forgot to mention. There also is a certain amount of random chance involved, so there will be those that don't abide by the general rules. For example, my Onix is the fastest pokemon in my party because I got some freak Onix that has a really high speed IV.
EV is Effort Value. They're a partially visible stat. (There's an NPC that will tell you if a pokemon has all its EVs assigned, as well as a Poketech app regarding EVs.) EVs are assigned to your pokemon as it trains based on what you tell it to do. Certain hold items affect EV gain, and vitamins can give your pokemon an EV boost. Basically, how you train your pokemon will have an effect on the stat bonuses it will receive upon leveling up. This is the main reason that pokemon caught at lower levels end up being more powerful. A pokemon ceught at level 50 might not have enough time to get all its EVs assigned even if it's trained up to 100. (And especially so once a pokemon's level is maxed, because its EVs lock at that point, that's why level 100 pokemon can't eat vitamins.) There is a cap to how many a pokemon can put into any one stat, as well as one on how many a pokemon has to use. (I'm not going to put any numbers because I feel I've gone into far too much detail already.
There are two main practices associated with these little-known stats. The first is 'IV farming' or catching numerous wild pokemon (or save-retrying a legendary) and selecting one from the group based on their stats at time of capture. (A pokemon's capture stats are perhaps the best indicator of their IVs aside from whipping out the ol' Hax Sword and taking a look at the game code.) Some choose to expand on that process by training all the pokemon up to the same level (Usually 40 or so) and making that decision at that point.
The second is 'EV training' which is raising a pokemon in a specific (Boring and complex) manner in order to maximize its potential. Kind of like pokemon boot-camp. Anyway, I think it's an admirable goal, but I personally don't subscribe to either practice.
Simply put, they're very complex and you'd probably live longer if you didn't give yourself gray hairs worrying about them. They're for professionals and people with no lives only. The rest of you, just play the game!

Take Metagross for example:
Base Attack: 135
Max attack with a hindering nature and Max EVs and IV: 332
Max attack with a beneficial nature and Max EVs and IV: 405
Difference: 73 attack points
405 attack at level 100 with a move with a base power of 60 to a Pokemon with 100 defense points, will deal between 175 and 206 damage.
332 attack at level 100 with a move with a base power of 60 to a Pokemon with 100 defense points, will deal between 144 and 169 damage!
The difference in damage is great. On one hand, 206 damage on 300 HP is ~68% of it's HP. 169 damage on 300 HP is ~56% of it's HP. Big difference in battling, especially with things like Leftovers, Life Orbs, and status afflictions which deal/recover extra HP.

Although I also like themed teams which is why I might look into joining one of the many wifi leagues about, or starting my own (Once I've got nat. dex etc). Basically people become gym leaders / elite 4 and you battle them to try and get through the league. Although there are some pretty duff leagues about "gonna make a leege first 4 pple to sign up cna be gym leedrz!!111!!", there are some pretty good well organized ones out there as well.

Nick- You sure? Apparently cheats work online...IDK, I don't really want to get banned from Wi-Fi.

WD HAS A QUESTION. I think I somehow talked my sister into being interested in the Pokemon games (she likes Golden Sun so who knows) and I'm going to buy Pearl for her as a belated B-Day present. (her birthday's today 7/7) Since I can now use the Pal Park, I want to trade her in a Bulbasaur when she starts playing Pearl (Bulbasaur was her favorite Pokemon when we used to watch the anime). But the thing is, when she starts the game she obviously won't have the National Dex. So, would I be able to give her a Bulbasaur even though it's a "National" Pokemon?
This is particularily aimed at watch who owns both games.

1)Obtain the National Dex
2)Save, turn off the power
3)Insert a GBA Pokemon game
4)Turn on the DS again, start D/P
5)Select "Migrate Pokemon from ___"
Then you will see a screen with some directions, follow them and eventually you'll be shown your complete PC Box collection of Pokemon from your GBA game. The game will ask you to choose six of these to transfer to D/P. You can catch them again in Pal Park with six Pal Park balls. The Pal Park balls have an 100% chance of capture, so don't worry about going through the hell of catching your old legendaries again.
But, once you transfer them to D/P, they're gone from your original, so think about it beforehand and breed your starters if you can. That's what I'm doing with Charmander/Bulbasaur/Squirtle.

Whose interested in being a part of it? Most of these leagues have 8 gym leaders and an Elite 4, but since I don't think we have enough people for that I think we should just stick with gym leaders. I think it'll be a lot of fun, its more fun playing with a 'themed' team anyway, it gives you a more personal sense rather than being like everyone else who uses Garchomp/Blissey/Skarmory/Roserade etc
So anyway, post here if you're interested and we can discuss it further.
Not forgetting the inter-GSSF Wifi League as well, its in the 'User contests' area if anyone wants to participate.

I'll only deal with your Level 100 pokemons.
Your Blissey is a little strange. Impish natures gives it +Def and -Sp.Atk. Considering Blissey only uses special attacks (most notably Ice Beam), you need all the Special attack you can get. A better nature would've been Bold (+Def -Atk). I don't know what sort of set you're running but 714 HP would've been great and it's defense is weak. 130 Defense really is needed to take anything other than a special attack (in the odds you're left with Blissey) and due to it's base 55 speed, you won't be sweeping much when you can't take one physical hit.
Scizor - good nature, it's speed is 229, enough to run most bulky Gyarados' although some may surprise you :D
Porygon-Z: perfectly EV trained, although I don't know why you only have 311 HP (I have 312 on my Porygon-Z). It must have 30 IV in HP.
Your Dragonite looks fine.
Good work on the team. I can't wait to battle :P

As for my last member, I want a Physical Wall. I don't know what I want, though. Skarmory and Bronzong are good choices, but they're too typical. =| I may want a Weezing, though. It looks good enough for one.

I still need a decent water dude. I ditched Gastrodon, for Remoraid, who evolved into Octillery, but I only have him because I need somebody who can surf.
I'm ditching Kriketune for Sneasel, and as soon as I find the razor claw, Weville.

It will be attacking with STAB EQs on base 112 attack (not bad) and Ice Fang/SE are for specific pokemon so 4 EVs in attack are fine. Maxing out HP/Def is more important.
Also, remember that Hippowdon creates a sandstorm so you need to watch out for that. Stealth Rock + Spikes + Life Orb + SandStorm + Poison/Burn = dead.

That should be right. With that, I'm going to frolic in the Pal Park.
Roserade: You want an increase in speed with your nature but not a decrease in defense. Timid would be best (+Spd -Atk). Oh well. Roserade should have some type of fire move (Hidden Power Fire) as Steels wall you (They are immune to poison and resist Grass). You should also get something like Shadow Ball for Gengars (Which resist poison with 1/4 damage).
Honchkrow: It's defenses are weak but it's attack is good and it's HP is decent.
Luxray: Depending on it's ability, you either want a CBRay or a MixRay. If you have Rivalry, you can do Choice Band as you get to work with your attack rising 2 levels if the opponent is the same gender as you, with that plus your high attack and choice band, you're doing serious damage with Spark or Crunch. If you have intimidate, go for Thunderbolt, Crunch, TWave and HP Grass.
Rapidash: With wide lens, you can bring the % of Megahorn, Hypnosis and Will-o-wisp up to 93.5%, 77% and 82.5% respectively. Rapidash is fast so it can easily inflict status and then pound away at you.
Empoleon: I like it as a support/wall type pokemon. Surf, Grass Knot, Icebeam and Rest/Stealth Rock/Roar/Protect (with leftovers) for support.

I'm thinking of having my Porygon-Z hold either Choice Specs or Wiseglasses. Although Choice Specs increases Sp. Attack by 1.5x, Porygon-Z can only use one attack. If I use the Wiseglasses, though, Porygon-Z will only get a 10% Sp. Attack boost, but will be able to use the rest of its attacks as well.
I don't know what to choose...

Damage = ((((2 * Level / 5 + 2) * AttackStat * AttackPower / DefenseStat) / 50) + 2) * STAB * Weakness/Resistance * RandomNumber / 100
DAMAGE = (
(
(
(2 * 100 / 5 + 2)
* 1053 * 80 / 307)
/ 50)
+ 2)
* 2 * 1 * 100 / 100)
DAMAGE = ~464.
Porygon-Z's attack power is 1053 due to Nasty Plot and Life Orb - 405 * 2 = 810 * 1.3 = 1053. That's 464 damage to Blissey. That means you do about 65% of Blissey's HP with that and lose 31 HP. A fair trade-off, I think :D
To change it around, change the 307 to the special defense of the pokemon you want.

Where did you get Lucario? GTS?
Done ice gym, done Team galactic HQ and
I want to replace Onix with Lucario for a decent fighter for the final electric gym, and I want to get a Sneasel because they are awesome. But I cant catch Sneasel because all my poke's are too high level and kill him though. I'll get onix to fight him because the wild Sneasel's are about the same level as my Onix (36)

I'm getting rid of Drifblim from my squad and replacing it with Sneasel. I already have a better ghost type (Spiritomb), and Drifblim isn't that good anyway (High HP, but thats about it)
So I've caught 2 Sneasel and put em in the Daycare as I want to train it up from a low level and not level 33.
Also means I can get a better nature :)
Also I beat the ice gym quite easily. Earthquake rocks
Octillery is good in my team as well. If you have him, take him to the Move relearner in Pastoria and get him to teach Octillery 'Gunk shot'. 120 power poison move. Helped me own abomasnow in the ice gym.

Oh and the Weaville/Sneasel is going to be part of my Dark squad when I begin to train it properly. Version 1 will be non-EV trained (but with natures, IVs and moves) but then I'll probably redo em with EVs.
Heres a plan, which will probably change. Suggestions if you will  Remember at least 4 should be Dark type, but here I'm using 5 Dark types:
Houndoom (Dark/Fire)
Shiftry (Dark/Grass)
Sharpedo (Dark/Water)
Weaville (Dark/Ice)
Spiritomb (Dark/Ghost)
Claydoll (Ground/Psychic)
Or maybe an Absol (Dark) instead of one of em..

I need a bit of a mix, but as I said, at least 4 I want to be Dark and I have 5 there.
Honchrow...yeah Its alright but Flying type is a bit meh. I'm pretty sure Weaville etc can learn Aerial Ace.
Currently hatching Sneasel eggs. Hatched 5 so far but none were the right nature.

Heres a quick guide for who is easiest to fight when EV training in attack:
Where: Route 202
Who: Shinx (1)
Comments: Not really a great place, I recommend it only be used because it is
the first place available. And the shinx dont really come along that often
without the pokeradar.
Where: Route 212
Who: Kricketune (2) Bibarel (2)
Comments: It works too, much better than shinx.
Where: Route 208
Who: Bibarel (2) Machop (1)
Comments: I think this route has less variety in pokemon than the one above,
making a bit better. I could be wrong though.
Where: Acuity Lakefront
Who: Snover (1) Machoke (2)
Comments: This is one of my favorite places to train physical sweepers. The
only other pokemon around here all give speed EVs. Namely Sneasel, Meditite,
and Medicham. Handy. See the speed section for exact details.
Where: Lake Valor
Who: Seaking (2) Gyarados (2)
Comments: Higher level wild pokemon, and you need to beat the elite four to get
the super rod to catch these guys with. Otherwise fine.
Also note worthy is Unknown, found in the cave right of Solaceon Town. I didnt
list them with the above because they also give Special Attack EVs. They give 1
attack and 1 special attack.

Vespiquen lv 37
Spiritomb lv 37
Sneasel lv 34
Lucario lv 34
Octillery lv 34
If anyones got pokes around this level gimme a shout and I'll battle you :P
You can also give pokemon vitamins like protein, and this will give them 10 Evs for each vitamin given, but you can only give 10 vitamins for wach stat. The max number of EVs is 255 for a stat, but most people give 252, as you need 4 Evs to make 1 point increase in stats, so by giving it 255 you only get as much increase as 252, so its better to spread your EVs like this: 252/252/6.

The problem with my team is that all my different people are at different levels. Got some almost 50, Sneasel at 30, and baby lucario at level 12
My team at the moment is:
48 Bronzong
47 Infernape
45 Luxray
44 Staraptor
35 Sneasel
12 Riolu
I have the exp share on Riolu and Sneasel first in my party. Once I get Sneasel in the 40's, and Lucario evolved, then i'll go kill Galactic. <3 false swipe.

1. Put pokemon in 1st spot of party
2. Go to Fuego Ironworks (anytime after getting surf)
3. In Fuego ironworks, there are moving floor pannels which send you moving in the direction they are pointing. In one section of the ironworks, there is a floor pannel which points upwards, with about 7 tiles of walking space above it then a wall. Simply walk down towards it and it'll send you shooting up again.
4. Put something on the down button on your Dpad when you are positioned above this floor tile, and go to bed :P Come back in the morning and you'll have been walking loads, and your pokemon will then be max happiness. I used a stack of coins and put a notepad over the screen so that if the coins fell for some reason it wouldn't hit the screens.
Video instructions here (Not by me)

Highly recommend this method. Its how I evolved my Riolu.
