Yeah, you're supposed to trust your partner, yes, but the truth of the matter that relationships hardly ever last more than a year, and then it all goes kaput. So if you have numerous relationships, have sex in every one of them, that means the more chances that you're going to get an STD, or even just pass it on without it affecting you. (And men, you guys tend to be the carriers.) Since we're all bound to have at least a few different relationships in our life, I would say it's just best to try to limit that number, and not do it with every one of them.

HPV vaccine is fairly recent, and there's still a chance of it backfiring, and causing you to get the vaccine instead of protecting you from it. Yeah, I'm still a virgin, but I'd just rather go by natural means of protecting myself from that kind of thing. Abstinance is option A, or just not have sex with every person I date, which sounds like a better alternative to to op. A. Plus, I think the less people you have sex with, the more meaningful it is toward the relationship.

And since divorce rates are so high, I'm probably never going to get married. I'm not sure I want to go my whole life without experiencing the "beautiful union", y'know?

Well abstinence works I guess, if not then HPV vaccine is your best option AS WELL AS protection and the pill. But even if you use protection and are on the pill, you will get hpv the first time you have sex, unless you get the vaccine, if there's a chance of getting it with the vaccine, then that's a smaller chance than going without it. That being said, abstinence is the best :o lemme know how that goes.

There's also the factor of transmission; it's a little-known fact that STDs are very difficult to pass on, even through unprotected sex.

The next logical question would be does he still have feelings for you? If not, then him staying with you is more an obligation then well, love.

Completely share your point of view.

When you tell some that you love them, those words carry a huge meaning behind them. Even a simple quip like 'luv ya' at the end of the day is pushing it. Those words mean you've established a close enough bond that you could see yourself happy together for years to come, not just until something else pops up. That's what dates are for. So you can see what clicks and what doesn't.
