It should just be a 1px stroke with a glow or only a glow, a contrast/brightness adjustment with the bg, and possibly some cleaning up of the crop to make it sharper and higher in quality. I like the plain red colour backround because it goes with the Inuyasha avies that I have. Also the red streak right in the middle makes it sharp it my eyes.(I use the word sharp in a different sense of meaning).

something tells me you duplicates the render, blurred it and put it on soft light. maybe you can blend it a little better, but it's quite good now. the copy with the low opicity looks weird, but good. I never really was a fan of text boxes, so that makes it look a lil less. text effects are good, but change the font. background looks funny, in a positive way. are that filters? I haven't done filters in a long time you know. looks good.
overal a 7.5/10, good job on it, but could use some improvements.

overal a 7.5/10, good job on it, but could use some improvements.

I played around with the filters until I got this background, so I used it. I didn't blur the image no. Yes I duplicated the render.

Well filters are the only tools I can use to make background since I don't know where to download grunge brushes (it's supposed to be in spoono.com but I can't seem to find the section where it's located). I would like to though, I like grunge backgrounds.

Hmmm well the font I think it suits pretty well. I don't have a big variation however so I'm not entirely sure.

By the way that line isn't supposed to be a text box. It's just an added feature I sometimes like to have.

Illidian: Crisp and clear, but not without it's own JPEG artifacts. Good crop otherwise. I would add text, but that's just me. 8/10

Neo: The effects, bg, and design is good, but the only aspect that is bugging me is first, the contrast/brightness. It just is short of being that vibrant, bright look, and it is noticeable. It gives a dulling glaze I suppose you could say. And the text, well, OCR-A just doesn't go with it. If you want a pixel font, use something like Block Out or BitLow. Or you could easily use arial/tahoma/verdana. I just don't think the OCR-A works.

The effects are still awesome. I oughta make it more clear that it still is cool looking, cause I might've sounded overly critical B) I'm just trying to explain what's making it short of "even better."

@ Andross: thanks for the critism, and yes, you are right, OCR-A isn't that good, I need to DL some others... (how did u knew it was OCR-A?), about the render, it's mostly because the full image itself was blurred before I added it. I tried making it look sharper by duplicating it and putting it on soft light, but it seems it didn't worked.
and a tip, andross: you should try using brushes for sigs, I know you are fantastic on abstracts, but brushes is very cool to do, and fairly easy. and there are many ways to colorize it (in my siggy I used 3 color balance layers).

Agatio - I thought it was someone else from a completely different anime, but now that I took a long look at it, it looked more like Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Good job in finding it on dA.

Isaac13 - A little dirty in quality, and the Cartoon Network logo ruins the signature. That, and I don't like how the Star Wars cartoon was made. Maybe you should stick to the manga they have of it. Eitherway, you did an okay job.

Neo Genesis - Pretty cool effects, although it doesn't appeal to me as much. I'll give you a good rating anyway for quality and slick graphics.

Somia - Awww, that's kawaii. Whomever animated that manga scene must've gone through a lot to scan and align the proportions correctly. Nice job.

Yeah I know what yay mean but I shall never change it. Unless someone can help me make a better looking one. Anyways it goes with the Inuyasha avatars I have. Man at first I had Inuyasha avatars, then Sonic avatars and now back to Inuyasha, the cycle goes on.
