Well, I wouldn't say I'm too bad with Link, but I'm defintely better with Marth. Counter is extremely useful and he's quite fast, plus the fact that the tip of his blade is his strong point makes him effective in Aerial attacks (which I use often).

I can clear Classic and All-Star (Very Hard and Hard, respectively) and Adventure in Normal (seriously, I always lose a life or two at the Ice Climber's stage... grrr....) with Marth. My second best would be Falco, then Sheik, Link, Zelda, Young Link and Roy (in that order).

It's the bloody Pikachu level that gets me on Adventure on Hard or higher.

As for characters;

Link, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, Bowser, Young Link, Roy, Samus, Marth, Pikachu and Fox make my top 10 in that order.

I 've done Classic and Allstar on Very Hard with Link but the same as you i can only do normal on adventure. Fortunately i can do adventure on hard with Ganondorf, but not well enough for the trophy.

To add to my above list, I'd then have Kirby (yay!), Fox, and Captain Falcon.

With all the characters I've mentioned, I can at least complete Hard in Classic, and Normal for both Adventure and All-Star.

I agree with most of your list, except for Mewtwo and Zelda. My brother uses Mewtwo effectively, and he's not too bad, really (though I can't use him for my life).

But Zelda? She's a great character to use! If it weren't for her speed, she'd be among the best! (Come on, her A Attacks all look very nice!)

Really, there is no "bad character": it's just who you feel more comfortable with.

The trophy is called diskin. Its the last one i need, and no, its not throwing the top when it comes off. I think it is the whole thing. I havnt been able to get it, and its the last one... ive been trying for a year and a half, but to no avail. The FAQs I find just say "throw the hammer." No explaination on HOW to throw it.

You'd have to unlock the Sound Test, which means unlocking all the characters, and finishing all the Event Matches. Good luck. :lol:

Theres a total of 300 trophies... there is a captain olimar trophy where you need a pikmin save file on the SSBM memory card you use to play in order to get it. When the game starts it will give it to you.

1. You get Diskin (or I think it's actually called Diskman) by getting all of the Bonus Categories (the titles you get after you finish a Melee match).
2. You cannot really throw the hammer when you're using it. I've tried to throw it once, before, but it's not a function. Your best bet is to let someone get it too early and see if the head falls off. Quickly grab it, and toss it around. It should still be there even after you threw it once.

I usually use counter the most when in the final battle with Giga Bowser in Adventure Mode. Lots of people think that G-Bowser is hard, but he's nothing more than a giant target. And he's so slow. His only advantage is that all of his attacks do lots of damage and also have horrible side-effects.

To Forte- I honestly don't know. All I remember is that we were on opposite sides of the stage (just Giga Bowser and me as Falco), when those items appeared one by one on its side :(

And also, I agree about Roy- more strength, less speed, doesn't feel right... that's why I like using Sheik and Fox a lot. Strangely enough, I prefer Falco over Fox... even though he's slower, he's pretty much my best (along with Marth)... also Zelda...

The thing I like about Zelda, despite her speed, she has Amazing Smash Attacks... they all look very nice, and are decently powerful too (try, in mid-air, pressing "A + Up"- nice fiery attack it is ^_^)- Her Nayru's Love is simpy invaluable, being able to deflect moves and still function as a regular attack.

Other than that, the only things I dislike about using her is her speed (already stated) and her Vanishing move ("B + Up")- it has a very long range, yes, but it's difficult to control (for me, at least) and it always leads to many self-destructs in small stages (such as "Fountain of Dreams"... which happens to be one of my favourites...)...

Some people may disagree with me on this, but I think that SSBM is really just a contest of timing. The attacks are easy to learn and master, but what it all really boils down to is having the perfect timing.

DBZ Budokai, Bloody Roar; those are button mashers! SSBM isn't too complex, nor is it easy. Along with the timing, you also have to be familiar with the characters' moves.

Unfortunately, I think that we'll have to wait for a sequel on the next Nintendo Home Console (a.k.a. the Revolution) for new characters. Also, the President of the Big N said that it would change how video games are played, so I can imagine that a Super Smash Brothers title for it would be simply amazing.

It may be hard to use a stylus pen to control the characters (using combos may become an issue) but the stylus control, I think, MAY be optional for some games. But it would give you more flexibility...

That dream is coming true...They're making one for the DS...Hopefully it will have better characters and more modes of gameplay...I would certainly like to create my own stage (even though the stages are great) and like to create my own conditions of winning...maybe an create your own story/adventure would be awsome... ^_^

They, though, give us a big rol of characters for us to choose one that we most like... and now with the new Nintendo DS, it's going to be great, because if they do a game for it, then we can maybe see the key combinations for combos on the lower part, or maybe you can keep items instead of just holding them, and then you have an inventory on the lower part, where you can choose an item to use at that moment. Of course, these are just ideas...

The key combs showing wouldn't be great...2 player or more would be horrible becuase you can see what the oppenent is gonna do...

Actually, defeating 15 Minute Melee will unlock Donkey Kong 64. Getting 1300m+ in the Home Run challenge will unlock that Yoshi stage.

I *finally* got all the stages only a few weeks ago, and unlocking them all (plus all the characters) opens up the Sound Test, which is a true blessing indeed :)

I also like Ness but his up and down Smash attacks are really weak but not his baseball bat swing. About Kirby the only reason I like about him is that once you suck up people you can walk off the edge and take the person with yeah and if your good you can float back up.(My friends hate it when i do that ^_^ )

Now that's my style of playing against the CPU...3 level 9 CPU's are the most challenging thing to do in SSBM...The CPU is dumb when its only one level 9...

Easy cause captian falcon is fast and powerful hes a good character but I can't seem to do alot of consecutive hits with him so thats why fox, falco, roy, marth, link, and young link are my fav players.(plus the the people that have swords have longer reach so you dont have to come right at your enemy close to hit him)

Capt. Falcon is annoying fast and his moves involve grabbing your butt or smaking you up high...Sicko...And his attacks do alot f damage too...Speed and power...Badd combination

I like Link and Fox. Fox is used mainly against slow, big opponets, and link is melee... If I face a small fast character, though, bowser is the best.

My best character is easily Falco. While, true, he is not as fast as Fox, he has two nice advantages:
A.) He has a higher jump- I know this may sound like a sad reason, but if you were to ever challenge me in SSBM, you will find that I jump. A lot. It's a part of my technique to use Aeriel attacks...
B.) The Fox Illusion (err, Falco Illusion?) causes more damage than Fox's and can send opponents flying.

And nothing can beat Zelda and her beautiful smash attacks ^_^

Falco midair down "A" attack is deadly. I use it all the time, it smashs your enemy right down to the ground no rapid smash but just one good midair hit. Its best to do it if there is nothing below your enemy cause it will send your enemy all the way down to the depths of the below.

Here's a couple of reasons why Roy is a superior character than any of the others:

1. He does a decent amout of damage, midair or on the ground.
2. Nice range.
3. Fairly quick on his feet.

Roys techiniques are good like:

1. Flare Blade is immensely powerful when charged.
2. Blazer is a really good attack and recovery move.
3. Double Edge Dance is powerful and consecutive. Also used as a recovery move
4. Counter: when used effectively it can be a nice turn around of the match...

A dam iamhaving trouble with event 50 those stupid hands are really starting to bug me so is Giant Bowser when your fighting him with luigi.
Bowser does stupid thing to kill me so i can get him to one life but then he just becomes cheap and spins in his shell to kill me. Anyways can anyone tell me how to kill him and the the two master hands?

Yes, simply play SSBM often and you will gain *many* coins...

There is also another method- when playing "Classic" mode, at the "Race to the Finish" bonus stage, waste as much time as possible before completing it. Also, try to get as far from the starting point as possible...

Ok I try to get the stupid mew trophy you have to see mew in a pokeball to get him. So I have played like 1278 VS mode game and I still Haven't seen him is there something wrong with my SSBM game??(I even put only pokeballs in on very high but I don't last that long against level 9 comps cause they always get to the balls before me)

^Agreed. Generally, what I do is * greatly *weaken my foes with Sheik (her “A” attacks are very nice). Then, I transform to Zelda and use her BEAUTIFUL Smash Attacks to wipe ‘em out :)

put simply, i don't lose with Link. I lose a few times with other characters like Ganondorf that usually involves my little brother using constant spin attacks with young Link.

Argh...For some reason...WhenI face against a human sometimes I get their percent total so high and mine wasn't even that high and they K.O me instead...Weird...That happens when I'm Roy...
When facing against human's doging is vital so whenever I fight someone we dodge like nuts! People get hit like 15 minutes after the match begins :blink:

Roy's jump isn't to great, but he and Marth can fly back using Right or Left B when in the air, and you use it over and over.

HAHA YES I just beat event 51 and got the Final Destination stage(which I think is the best stage of them all for one on one combat) So yeah it took me two wekks to get all stages and all characters so the only thing thats left is the trophies I guess(hmm it seems like a hallow victory inside event 51 wasn't all that tough)

Use Marth, and counter everything you can, then use the jump A attack when they're stationary ;).

For event 51, use Ness and his pk thunder (jump off then hit yourself back at everyone), or Link and his double smash attack.

Shiek is awsome...You can keep juggling your enemy with a variety of moves becuase she's so fast...And I don't see how she has no K.O moves...You could just use Side+A smash...Easy K.O

Ok that good and all but try hitting your friend with that atttack unless he is oblivious to Ganondorf screaming out his attack and not noticing the purple energy around his fist, its pretty hard to hit people with that attack. IF I ever use him I just use his down and "B" move on my friends.
