But her alter ego, Shiek, is the only reason why I choose Zelda...

well, the cube can go online now...maybe (very unlikely) N5 or whatever its name is, will have an online version of melee in which case we could all knock seven bells out of each other. however unless you do it with precision there is a tendancy to follow thorugh and fall to your doom with the person you hit. The most common cause of my death is double jumping when im on the arena and being smacked off thus only having up and B to get me back. I try to only jump once but its a habit now

Some Meteor attacks suck. Take Kirby and Jigglypuff and even Mario's. I don't see anything Meteor in it... But I like to meteor attack with Mewtwo. I once did this: I threw someone out of the edge, I jumped above him and Meteor attacked him down. :angry: :mellow: -_-

yeah thats the what i use as my finisher when possible.

In the old version kirbys meteor attack was very good cos although it was a drill kick it worked kinda like falcos does now in that it sent people plumetting downwards. Also his Stonecutter had a similar effect but it seems to have been left out of the new version - its certainly not as effective even if they DID leave it in.

Yeah Stonecutter is a not that good attack now. First it did kick ass but now it doesn't and has random power.

I pretty much stick against your opinions about Kirby. For one, people can get really creative and wipe your arses across the floor with both games' Kirby. Though, I know that the reasons why he's really good are already listed within a few pages of this topic, so I'll let you read on.

I'll just stick with Mr. Game & Watch, Samus, Captain Falcon, Kirby, and Pichu.

... Oh yeah, and have you tried to do a successful mid-air Falcon Punch? You have to rattle your enemies around, and when you do the B+Up move afterwards, look for a good opening and smack him with the B Button move.

yeah falcon punch packs a real er..punch...ahem...i guess the same goes for ganondorf's version too. It might just be me with the whole kirby thing but...i just cant play as him anymore...my friends sometimes do and i concede that the "standing right on the edge of the arena and throwing you opponent backwards" is a good move along with "standing on the edge of the arena and sucking your opponent and wandering off the edge" is also good, but its not like either of those moves actually give you the kill (the throw may do but only if it kills you aswell)

My friend and i found a semi-minigame you can play, one uses pichu or pickachu, the other marth or roy, and then you use the pichu or pickachu's skull bash towards the other charetcter, and then he tries to hit the pokemon out of the arena, i call it Pichu Baseball!!

My friend and i once choreographed a jigglypuff death sequence on kirby's dreamland 64 (you know - the old one). We had remote mines in the middle of each platform and one right in the middle of the arena. We both stood at either end and then pelted into the one in the middle in time with the music (the tooting bit at the start) and the blew up into the medium platforms (each taking the one that is on the side we were running from respectively) and then we exploded off those into the top platform's mine, at the same time as each other, and then flew off and died.

If that made any sense i recommend you try it - sorry if my explanation was poor

Well they don't really do 250% damage... Most of the time you are already KO when they quit shooting and they not always shoot as many lasers.

underneath the front of it there are two laser guns that you can stand on. They fire every now and then and do a shed load sof damage if you get caught in them - not that it really matters cos you die pretty sharpish.

umm... the point was that you use jigglypuffs to do it...it was just a random thing we did for a class presentation- nothing special - you could use any characters to do it...although jigglypuffs roll out might make it more amusing ^-^

Hehhe I know a VERY cowardly trick to make 999% of damage. Choose DK and use Headbutt, then down B the whole time till he comes out. When he comes out you just Headbut him again and down B him again. It's VERY cowardly I know plus you don't always get the change to do this in a CPU lvl 9 battle.

if you get onto a lot of damage on hyrule temple, and go to the bottom level, when you get hit by a strong attack you'll fly uppwards and get stuck in the scenery for a few seconds before suddenly shooting off again. I think its quite amusing ^^

I love doing that to other characters. Sometimes if they have enough damage they'll bounce around the bottom level of Hyrule Temple if you hit them hard enough. It's so fun!!!

Meh Pikachu's A-UP smash move is a deadly thing to mess with. I say it's to powerful even if you don't charge it. MArth in my eyes is a character used by experts. His dolphin slash it weak but hitting your opponent in the right spot with your sword is all it takes to send them flying.

do you guys tend to find that if you're winning a match the arena will suddenly start dropping explosives infront of you as you're executing a move (or a yoshi) and thus will kill you as your hit the explosive...im sure its calculated and not random...<is paranoid>

You might be on to something. You know whenever Iam killing my sis in the game the capsules I usually pick up start to explode when I throw them on the ground plus the addtion of more bom-bombs really makes the arena look more like a mine field then a battle field.

I've never really realized the full potential of the Dolphin Slash. I can't even execute a 3-hit combo with it successfully most of the time...

Hmmm use the samus screw attack when you pick up the screwball jump twice and then use your dolphin slash. That should be enough to do about 20+damage to your opponent.

Did you know that Yoshi is FAR more heavier than Ganondorf... It's true! Just go with both of them too Mushroom Kongdom level on the 2 things where if you stand up the other one goes up. Do this with Yoshi and Ganondorf and you will discover that Yoshi goes down and Ganon goes up. And for those who don't believe... Mewtwo is at the same weight as Marth *coughandcoungYoungcoughLink* and Mr. Game and Watch is lighter than Pikachu (who's heavier than Fox, Jigglypuff and also Pichu) Jigglypuff is heavier than Pichu but Kirby is heavier than both. Mewtwo is the heaviest lightweight together as Young Link he's the same as Marth so they both deserve the 'Middle Weight' class. This is the order of heavyness:

Have you been playing Single Button mode, by any chance, VD21? If so, then it's about time you got off there ... since you can use Ness in many different modes. Like Classic Mode or Adventure Mode. :P

I just figured out something today that was rather cool to see. Samus and both Link's can dodge(press R or L buttons while in the air) in midair and use their long grab moves to take hold of any ledge. As long as you press the Z button right after you dodge. This if very helpful say when you get blasted off the stage and your opponent is waiting to throw something at you so you dodge it and then use your grab to hook on the ledge. Its hard to do but I shall master it.

CF is not that heavy, he's at the same weight as Link. How do I know all those stuf about weight? Well just go to the level Mushroom Kingdom (1) and jump with 2 characters who you want to weight with each other on the 2 log things and the heaviest goes down and the lightest goes up.

Did you already tried to weight person VM1? I found a strange thing in it. If Pichu uses a gaint mushroom he's not even heavier than Bowser :( But he's just a BIT heavier when he takes the gaint mushrooom and Bowser the mini mushroom... VERY strange.

At even 90% you can still get knocked out with Kirby becuase he's so light...

Link has alot of drawbacks that make him hard to master...
One, he's slow with all his equipment...
Two, some of his attacks are not as easy to master...

I feel that Marth is a better character then Roy. Marth feels faster to me in his attacks and his speed than Roy. Roy may have more power but Marth can be just as strong with his sword. If you can hit your enemy with the tip of your sword you can always send them flying. Thats what the dolphin slash is for.(That attack is Marth's up+B move)

Sheik is a woman. Plus, she isn't sucky. She is second fastest and actually pretty powerful. Her B moves aren't great (besides B+Down).

Hmm I like some of her B attacks. Her whip is useful to stop enemies and items thrown at you. Her darts and do some good damage and if there fully charged she can stop the scope blast with her darts and still hit her opponent.

I think level nine bowser is pretty easy. Hes so big I can unleah tons of combos on him. I hate fighting level nine comps when they use small characters like pichu and ness. They get very annoying.

You use Rest when your opponent is falling down towards you like if they drop through the platform on Hyrule Temple. Crouch, then when they are within hitting distance tap B and they will go flying. For practise use Falco/Fox's Shield (Down+:D in similar circumstances.

I'm not too good with Mewtwo. Most of his attacks are kinda bad, but he has two strong points (in my opinion): His B move (the purple energy ball) and his throws. Mewtwo's throws are actually very good.

I'd say he's on the lower border of middleweights, but I play with light characters a lot (Ness, Kirby and Jig). I was having fun today... Me and Marth Lvl 1 vs. Lvl 6 Link. I killed Marth 6 times in a 7 stock game. Marth killed no-one and I killed Link 7 times. Marth kept blocking my way so I Flare Bladed him.

Friendly Fire is useful...
Friend gets in your way or will get an item you need eg. Food, Tomato, Heart Container, you can grab them and throw them away.

YL...? (Young Link?) Link is seriously more useful than Young Link. The one thing I love doing with Samus is to use her bomb move (B+Down) on an enemy repeatedly, and you and the enemy will gradually rise above the ground, and you'll do a lot of damage.

Zxor: Ok do you mean event 49 and 50? I forget what event 49 is but I used pikachu and his thunder attack to beat them. I suggest you go after the Crazy Hand(As I like to call him) he does his moves faster then the other Master Hand. If you can beat him then you should be able to get used to the other hands moves. This hand should be easier to beat then the other one. After you beat the Master hands Event 51 opens up and that way harder then the Master Hands. If you canbeat Event 51 then you can unlock the final stage called Final Destination.(Its a complete flat stage like the stage were you fight the Master Hands. Its my favourite stage.)

On Event match 51, use Jigglypuff. Use rest Giga Bowser and then just use items on Mewtwo and Ganondorf.

No, To use JP move effectively you need to be facing you opponent and be touching them aswell.

It's best to use this move when no one is around you because it takes some time for her to wake up. Also it's good to use this move after you use her sing attack.(Up+:unsure:
