Of course I did and with no help from anyone I might add. No seriously I did complete every event by myself all the way to the end. It took sometime and some events I just hated to do. Actually I think I used a cheap move on Event 51. Once I got rid of Giga bowser(It took me like 12 matches accomplish this) I just used Fox's laser gun to destroy Mewtwo and Ganodaf's shield and used my smash attacks to beat them. Man it was tough but I did it.

my favorite stage is Corneria, and also mute city, playing in slow motion is also very cool. when I play in slow motion I always use ganandorf.

I did the Evented Match 51 with Mewtwo. It wasn't that tough, I first took out Giga Bowser with many times of Body Spark (a in midair) and Mewtwo and Gaonodorf I just played like the way how you should use Mewtwo.

Yeah Giga Bowser is VERY huge! He's a bit like Bowser, only heavier, stronger and even slower. But you can take him out if he has just 170% +. But don't try to grab him, it won't work!!

I will say Pikachu... Use Thunder to inflict some serieus damage while they shoot their lasers. He's quite usefull too because he's quick and has a fast dodge.

NOOOO!! I almost beat the master hand, I beat his other hand, but he had 11 hp left and he killed me.
I got to ganandorf, got him to 63 hp and he killed me, I was sooooooooo close.

Well yeah good idea to use Ganondorf. Use his full-loaded up smash to do great damage.

EDIT: But let's talk about something else... I KNOW! Stamina Teams! I like Stamina Mode very much! I play it much with my mates. We do team battles all the time and I found some very good teams!

1): DK and Pikachu!! (This team rules! I never have lost with it!)
2): Ness and Mewtwo! (Good team! Mewtwo disables and Ness uses PK Flash and Mewtwo throws a Shadow Ball after it, I love this team :D )
3): Samus and Mewtwo.
4): Yoshi and Bowser
5): Pichu and Pikachu
6): C. Falcon and Falco.

And there are many others I like! Try it out atleast once. :blink:

Oh yeah and team 2 (ness and Mewtwo) is good too when you use Friendly Fire. Just heal Ness with Shadow Balls :)

My tactic was(for event match 51): Use rest on GB until he's dead, then just dodge all Ganondorf's and Mewtwo's attack. Use item on them. If you get a metal box and Mewtwo and Ganondorf got high%: Do a A+forward attack on them. That tactic is really cheap. Stamina mode isn't that fun. Can you decide how much % you can have?

Sure, Roy and Marth don't have amazing throws or good jumps, but its what their swordplay and skill that comes in handy...

Mario is better than Luigi, IMO...

for defeating Giga Bowser...this is really cheap ok?..do what someone suggested earlier with Fox's up and B across the top of the screen so that it only hit Giga Bowser. Sooner or later he'll snuff it and then just stad at one sid of the arena and fire your laser gun at the other two until they shield so much that it breaks and they fall asleep..if you need to rack up more damage then go ahead with the laser gun but otherwise your upwards smash will suffice. Repeat and destroy...my apologies if this has already been mentioned by someone elsewhere.

fireball is a good move for hitting someone just as they do their up and B to try and get back on the arena...assuming they dont expect it and automatically do their up and B again

Its slow, weak and any enemy can easily dodge it...
Cape is so-so...
Its gives you a second more to dodge, since the opponent has to face back and then hit you...

Don't worry I beat them again using your suggestion. Actually that's what I did the first time to beat them. Now I have the problem of getting all my trophies that I lost. So far I have about 260 trophies. 20 less then my other deleted file.

what i dislike about melee is that it sometimes asks (i forgot how you provoke it to) if you want to wipe your file and sets the default answer to "yes" thus you're in the middle of hitting A to get through all the stuff and then you delete your file X_X

Wow I never had that happen to me. My memory card said that my card needed to be reformated so I said whatever not reading the other text coming after it saying that reformating the card means deleting all saved files. Anyways I got my characters back with some bonus in it. I found 3 new trophies that I didn't have in my other deleted file. So it was not a total lose.

Yes, I'm quite aware of that...
But when you are facing against level 9's, sometimes the easiest ways are not so easy...

When you kill Nana, Popo is practically useless...
His attack is severely lowered and he can barely recover from attacks...
So its easier once you kill Nana...

If they weren't level 9, I'd obviously kill Popo...

i never fight against those guys cos again it feels like a betrayal of the character i use. Plus it dislike fighting the same character as the one im using which would normally be Marth.

I do find that they tend to kill themselves with little persuasion though in the arens that have bits you can fall down in the middle of them.

Ganondorf has a lot of good moves but the thing i dont get is that one he does where he sticks his foot into the air for a few seconds an then slams it down. It leaves him so vulnerable..although it does a hell of a lot if you happen to end up underneath it.

It would be the star rod and homerun bat. Then maybe the fan since it pretty strong when thrown at someone. I see the Mr. saturn as a useless weapon but it delays the person when you throw it at them much longer then normal weapons, giving you the chance to strike back.

There are VEEEEEEEEEEERY much RPG chars in SSBM! Like Mewtwo, Pikachu, Pichu, Jigglypuff, Ness, Roy and Marth. And Mario and Luigi a bit too... Very much huh? And they are all cool! (except Ness, grrrr I hate that dude :mellow: )

But Isaac would fit good in SSBM, just some sword attacks and Oddessey (which could be like something of Ness' PK Flash) but I think Ivan would do better in SSBM because his attacks can be on SSBM without any trouble I think... :D

To many electrical attacks. Lets just leave it will Isaac, and Felix like Roy, and Marth. You have to normal swordmen and to magical swordsmen. Then get rid of some pokemon characters and it's all good.

Yeah well. SSBM does tend to have the main characters in, although I do think Ivan would be better. Hm, Isaac's moves. Um. B_ Flint.-->B_ Odysee. ^ B_ Planet diver. V B_ Mother Gaia. Sound good? Felix_ same but echo instead of flint.

Yeah, but she didn't know it, at least not for a while. Maybe they'd change who Zelda transform to, and re-work her moves. Smash+B could be her light arrow, Up+B the same, B the same, then, Down+B could be transform to Tetra.

I doubt that another SSBM game will be out for a long time. They could name it super smash bros party, or something like that. But, for a game like SSBM, they cant come up with much more ideas. Adventure and all star are new, but you cant put much more in. New characters and levels are good, but gamers these days want more variety.

You cant have Ivan without Sheba. From what diddy has said, there is about 2+ characters from each game. Ivan and Sheba must be in it. Maybe dark samus as well, as there is only samus from Metroid.

Why Ivan and Sheba? They are excact the same in Psynergy and stats (only Ivan faster and Sheba has more defense) so Sheba wouldn't do... Maybe IF Nintendo makes 100+ chars then Sheba could be a Ivan clone but I think it's rather useless... They have very much other populair Nintendo chars like Wario.

i thought they had pretty much the right blend of characters in the last one - you dont want too many characters from any particular game in or it would get boring. Mind you they probably put a few to many Mario related characters in that one although many have had their own game...

The Pokemon kinda suck... (except Jigglypuff)
Pichu - He likes self-harm and is really weak.
Pikachu - See above minus self harm.
Mewtwo - Way too easy to send flying.

Truth about Pichu, about Mewtwo... He is just not light he's same weighted as Roy, Marth and Young Link. And the other things bad about Mewtwo is probarly because Ninty thought he was to powerfull for SSB:M and still wanted him so they have given him cancer. Pikachu is not weak, you just use him bad.

Well, I started this topic to talk about the characters itself, but its mainly about the game...

Nobody is bad per se, but it depends on your style...
I believe I have mention this many times throughout this 78 page topic, nobody sucks.

Every one is unique and has their weaknesses. I'm sure Nintendo intended it to be that way.

One of the real challenges in this game is to find the character suited for you, to feel comfortable around and to have fun with that character...

You may say Roy sucks but he is magnificent in some ways and weak in some ways...

I don't think I said one character is just pure garbage but C.F has to be the strongest character in the game. Like come on he is fast and strong. Anyone could master him in a day or two but for some reason I haven't found anyone who likes him as a dominate character.

Riiiiiiiight. If there is one char that I hate, its ness. I think hes useless. No, really I do. He doesnt have a proper ^ B move. Which sucks. I hate him, dont ask why.

Ness' smash attack isnt bad but whenever ive played as him i rarely bothered to use his down and B shield thing. His up and B was better on the original cos when you hit him with the yoyo he would travel further. Still its not a totally useless move. I would say Yoshi is more in need of a proper up and B

I personally have no use for Mr. Game and Watch becuase that's not how I play...

He's a pretty great character, but he's just not my style...
His smashes are useful but his Down B isn't unless you got some cheap friend/comp that keeps using projectiles...

3 pk flashes is the most powerful you can do. But it's impossible in a real game :\.
Then it's best to settle for Super Scope charges and Samus charges.

On a Slo-Mo melee I did 500% to a Level 1 Young Link using Sheik's Chain. I got him near the edge and kept him off the stage using it. It was so funny I kept him airborne for about a minute or longer.

its like a bucket....so - someone throws something at you and you use the bucket to catch it. Catch three things and its full up. Ok so next you wander up to someone and press down and B again and it unleashes the stuff you caught in the form of a blackish sludge thing whihc does damage equivalent to the damage of the items you caught. I recommend catching three samus blasts. Its worth noting though that it only works on the kind of items that you can fire but cant pick up. Like no bobomb catching. The superscope shot would work and that would d about 100% damage when you threw it at someone.

I always do that as well. It's a great thing to do in all games using other characters to fight. The only thing I found useful with Mr. G&W was his Down+B move. Other than that, he's useless.

ok heres something i hope hasnt been discussed already - has anyone ever fallen through an arena? As in, where there is ground...you were standing there and then suddenly you fall through it and die. It happened to me on pokefloats, on the Snorlax and the Seel, and also on Brinstar depths. Its quite annoying but at the same time an amusing enough glitch for the game to get away with.
