Question:
What stats do you reccomend I raise for a warrior planning on becoming a hero? I figure obviously I will need STR, and DEX would seem logical if I want to hit the enemies. LUK I never really considered a high priority in any game, and INT seems pretty stupid for a class that doesn't need a lot of MP. So would I be right in saying to become a hero I will mainly need STR and DEX?

Try going to mapleglobal, and re-installing it. That will probably fix it.

Try the Hidden Street at the 3-way road split. Go to the bottom of the map, keep walking until you reach that pit with the "Danger" sign, and press up at the sign. That's one of my favorite places to train for lvls 10 through about 25. It has a variety of stuff and is generally not too crowded.

Outside Hennesys (sp?) is good (to the left). 4 levels. Bottom has snails and ****, next has green slime thingys, above that is the bigger mushrooms, then the top level has other stronger ones (sucks not knowing any of the monsters names).

You must be thinking of a different place. No pigs where I go. Just snails, mushrooms, and slimes. It's the first screen to the left of Hennesys.

Agatio, you should give ^ a shot too. It's a bit close to where you train, so you can probably go between both of the places fairly easily.

A better place is pig beach, you should try going there with a few people. You can die easily if you go alone.

Agatio's talking about the Hunting Ground. Too crowded for my tastes. But if you're a KSing machine (archers, wizards) it's good to train there at the upper lvls with the Green Mushrooms.

Mages KS, Sins KS, Archers KS... everyone KSes. From my personal experience Mages KS more, but as long as you don't KS, then why do you care?

Murderers in MapleSEA...
yes some cases of Mudering have appeared in Maplesea, and someone(the victim) caught a screenshot right before killin teh monsters before his murder.....While users go AFK on platforms for a few seconds other users have started drawing the monsters to the platform to the AFK user to kill them. I have witnessed it and saved the victim, got a fame+ for it XD

You don't need a credit card. You just put money DIRECTLY into your paypal account (2-3 business days in Australia.) and you won't get the thing asking for a credit card. It only comes up when you don't have enough money in your paypal account. Basically, you can't have it just hooked up to a bank account, you have to transfer it right in.

I suggest downloading MapleGlobal instead of MapleSea. It takes less time and it's where everyone basically is. However, MapleGlobal is behing MapleSea in terms of quests and items.

I was left to solo the King Slime because of the other level 21 guys in my Party. I wasted more potions than I had hoped trying to kill it (Money down the drain! Must ye pick on the poor man?!); not to mention a great deal of warrior and sniper pots. I caught a glimpse of 301 damage that I did against it with Power Strike. Not too bad, actually.

At first, get to level 7 and bring up all those skill points to 35 STR. Then at level 8 - 10, put them all into DEX. From there, put 2 in DEX and 3 in STR. That's what I did.

EDIT: Nononono. NOT what I did. From level 8+ I made sure DEX was equal to my level x 2 and put the rest into STR like a good warrior should o.o

As a beginner, just put into STR as much as possible until the last few levels then start putting into dex, makes for faster lvling.

@ MD and Phantom: Bad boy.

@ ED: What you do, is when you create a character try to get 4 LUK and 4 INT and whatever else in DEX and STR.

After you create your character, when you lvl up, make sure that your DEX is twice the number that your lvl is, and then put the remaining points into STR. Example: When you lvl up to lvl 8, your DEX should be at 16.

Once your DEX is twice your lvl, all you need to do at lvl up is basically putting 2 points into DEX and the remaining 3 into STR. Understand?

Thus ends the tutorial from WD.

MapleSEA finally ****ing downloaded on about my 27th attempt. So I took about 45 minutes before to get my character to level 15 and give him some awesome new items as you can see from the screenshot. I'm pretty happy with it so far, though I could use some gloves and a matching helmet. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

I woudlnt because as a warrior, you have the ability to have alot of HP as it is, in the long run that HP boost is minimal, Its better to just put into STR or DEX, but hey its your character and I hate it when people tell me what to do with mine so ^_^ have at it.

Oh, I was under the impression HP only increased when you added points to it lol. And I've only come close to dying once since becoming a warrior anyway and that was fixed with a red potion, so HP really isn't an issue I guess.

Quick Q: How do I use skills that I have added points to? I couldn't really find a good explanation of skills on the site.

If it's a skill like Endure, it works automatically. For stuff like Iron Body, Power Strike and my personal favourite - Slash Blast, you have to assign it to a key either by quick slot or the "\" hotkey.

I like clicking on key settings and then clicking and dragging skills onto A (things like Power Strike/Shot) and S (Slash Blast/Double Shot).

And I like to put Healing items onto Q (HP recovering) and W (MP recovering). It makes things very simple. ^_^

I don't know for Warriors. I think you should check the stats for all your items and equipement. And see if they are right about that.

It's bloody hard to find a perfect training ground. One that has the right number of monsters that re-appear at a good rate, and are easy enough to kill but with good exp. Still level 15, might play a bit more tonight, dunno.

Outside Hennesys is good because it is a good pace, heaps of monsters. But it's either too crowded, or the fact monsters give about 0.1% exp for each kill so it takes an hour and a half to two hours to level up that puts me off and makes me try and find somewhere else.

@MD: "Or vice versa." ...No. Just no. Think. If you get double stab and a bunch of DS and stuff, you'll be useless as an assassin. Lucky Seven is the main attack of a sin, and even without lucky seven, who would use such a small range when you could be so far away? (Keen eyes.)

It's making a bandit with Lucky seven and keen eyes, and then using a claw up until about level 40, where you switch to a dagger, after you have decent SB and mastery.

I think that's a bit unfair. It's just a game! You should tell him to stop being so harsh.
If that doesn't work you could let him try it out and see his reaction. I bet the next day he'd be spending all his time on it, trying to level up!

Exactly. I play quite frequently on the weekends (slowly my social life wanes even more) and my parents are getting a little concerned me thinks. But a trip to the bar sorts that out. In other words, balancing out social activities with un-social activites generally win parents over.

Who knows what's going to happen to me when I leave home. :unsure:

Dam. I could of helped you out lots. I just deleted my character on Broa and he had 30k and probably 50k worth of items. I just dropped it all at henesys Hunting grounds for everyone to just pick up. If I'd known you were in a bit of a financial problem, I'd of given to all to you.
