Well, I was working on my mage... I think when he hits level 30, I will mkae him a fire and poison mage.

Archers are so much fun. <3 They're my favorite class, plus they're easy to train as well.

Starting stats are the same as warrior, but don't go past 30 STR until you reach lvl 30; you'll only need STR to equip your Bows. Everything else goes into DEX.

Max out that MP recovery skill. I think I get back 50+ MP every 10 secs, and im lvl 33. Or lvl 34 - I can't remember. Oh, and I have just over 2K MP (Normal I guess)

Archer's are fun. Unfortunatly for me I created one as my interest in MS began to rapidly decrease. I think I got to lvl 12. (I spent most of my time with my lvl 23 Rouge and lvl 33 Cleric)

Depends on what you want really. Hunters get Arrow Bomb, the name is pretty self-explanatory, hits everything for a certain difference.

Crossbowmen get another skill which I think is called Silver Bolt. It's like Slash Blast for Warriors, except it's more efficient in that the bolt goes straight through all the monsters in it's path, doing damage to all them, until the bolt goes away. I think that's what it is, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If you want my opinion, I would go with Hunter so that I can dress up in n00b clothes with a n00b arrow and use Arrow Bomb so that all the newbies say, "That n00b is strong!!! :)"

Hunter and Crossbowmen are like polar opposites, yet they are equally alike. And Arrow Bomb is a 6-hit attack that has a % to stun the group of monsters you hit.

Keeping to oMS though, I love being a Cleric. Not becasue of the undead slaughtering, or the snazy Priest skills that you get at lv 70 (which I am no where near by the way). It's because basically everyone with half a brain parties with you: And face it, MS is REAL boring Solo. In my opinion anyway.

And in my humble opinion, Sin's are at the top of the Ownage chain. Lucky seven used with Good stars is devastating at low AND high levels.

And that's my two cents...

I tried to run it, and it gives me crap about "there's no data file on your computer".

It couldn'tve just DISAPPEARED... I never deleted it.

To top that off, I couldn't find my GMS Setup file, so I have to re-download the whole damn setup file again.

I just got 135k. Not too hard if you hunt monsters that give off rolls of cash (100+ mesos per mosnter) and sell all your ores to people who ask for all of them. Believe me, it happened twice in a row. I get at least 12 - 20k that way.

The price has dropped considerably, then. People were selling it for 100k before, so iw as thinking of getting and selling some, but to no avail. When I checked channel 1 today, people were sellign it for 25k.

Yeah it's the dungeon... Well somehow it's very far from the main intrance.
First make sure you can come till the dirges, than enter a cave full of Evil Eyes. When you all past that you will find a place called the 24h Store, well go buy much there if you make it because Drakes do over 150 damage on me and the ice gysers did 167 damage on me. Perhaps your defence is higher but still its very dangerous there. I don't know how much damage a Cold Eye does but they have plenty much of HP and avoidability. But in a little bit of empty channel they don't spawn with huge groups. Still, you are near the 24h Store. Okay go to a portal south west where Evil eye bones and eggs lay. MANY Evil Eyes there. Kill or avoid them... But your a low level archer, it will be hard to kill them. Just level up some more or go with high level friends there. Anyways, there are like 3 Orbis Tower-like areas. When you passed those you come in Drake Hunting Ground. There is a portal North-East of it so go there. Then you are in The Tunnel that Lost Light.

Incorrect, You have to be lvl 120 to become paladin. Knight is lvl 70. :D

I had to come back for a minute to post in this topic about something.

But first, Phantom, it doesn't eventually loop back. You can go to the drake meal table/Wild Cargo hunting ground, or to the cursed sanctuary where the Junior Balrog is.

Some friends and I were training just outside the sanctuary against Tauromacis, and we decided to check in on the sanctuary to see if the roggy spawned. Well the spearman of the party and I noticed that the fighter and fire wizard already left, so we scrambled trying to catch up. Regardless of our efforts to catch up, they killed the rog just before the two of us entered the map. My friend took a screen.

By the way, ShiningSol is referring to the spearman of the party, to get over quick and raise the max HP and MP of the fire wizard.

You buy earrings at Henesys weapon shop and win them from quests. Gloves you can win from a quest, get from item drops, and made from NPCs like "JM from tha Streetz" or "Vicious".

I'll be interested to see where the monsters will be. However I doubt there will be any really strong monsters out. If there were, where would you go to get away from them?
I also wonder what will happen when you die in the town. Will you be sent to the same town or to a different but safe one? Does anyone know?

I came back to post about the Monster invade. I partied with some of my friends; I won't release their names, but rather, class and level.

Level 51 Spearman with maxed Hyper Body

Level 52 Assassin with maxed haste

Level 48 Fire Wizard with maxed meditation

Level 50 Bandit with maxed Steal.

I pwned a bunch of Wraiths and Maladies in Perion channel 10; didn't get any screens. I pwned a few dark stone golems in Henesys channel 13; again, no screens.

I survived the Sleepywood attack, I ellinia scroll'd before I died. The tauromacis and Taurospears were intimidating, and I didn't think I could kill the mass of them with my friends. Then I logged out because I hated the HORRIBLE lag. Tomorrow I might take another whack at it, but my spearman friend decided to quit Maple Story today.

Back to post another ... happening.

Those purple things are Cargos. They're in deep ant tunnel, like, past the tunnel that lost light. You got hrough the top door at "Another Entrance;" as that btotom leads to the JB. You go past the Drake's meal table and into Land of the Wild Cargo.

Anyway, my friend Kuri and I were Mushmomming, and we got into a little dispute with a level 46 assassin, telling us that we couldn't take him while fighitng a mushmom, meaning that he'd be the one that'd get the EXP, etc. If most of you know me, I'm one to fight ... Alot. I started firing words left right and center. He called his level 56 assassin friend, as if to be saying, "Can Kuri take an assassin 4 levels ahead of him?"

We called upon our friends.

Level 46 Hunter; GSSF's own "Nobody." AKA Lawrence.

Level 47 Bandit; Kadd.

Level 69 Fire Wizard; Kiba.

Level 60 Fighter; SpazButt36

Level 58 Cleric; Ian.

And so on. He called more friends, a few people that couldn't even hit her, being level 43 or lower, and 2 level 6X warriors. The war was on for the Mushmom spore trophy. After 30 minutes or so of argueing, Mommy finally spawned. She ended up dead before earthquaking twice, and I only had to heal once. That's right. She was dead in less than 3 seconds.

It came down to it. Who was able to pick up the drops? Who had one the argument. To put a long story short...

We kicked ass.

This is MAAMA Reporter Mars Djinni on the scene at 6:10 PM Pacific time.

It appears that Manji has spotted some of the deadliest creatures alive, the Crimson Balrog in Perion right about now, and attacks are fierce. the Balrogs are soaring everywhere as if attacking from Ossyrian skies. We are currently in retalliation as Victoria's most powerful characters are attempting to slay the beasts as the clarics try and heal the rest of the fallen ones.

I managed to get some really great screenshots of this. I have this really great shot when I was still alive, and it's a grand image of this ehre Crimson Balrog.

I decided to stay in Orbis for the attacks today, I hate the lag. Apparently I made the right choice, because I would've died from the Crimson Balrogs. Not like I missed anything, I've been killled by them, attacked them, did four digit damage (M-I-S-S), and have seen them die.

Who wants to hear the story of The GM, the Rog, Percy and me? XD

So, I started calling it a SOB outloud, so EVERYTIME I called it that, it started chasin me. (The rog.) Killin about 50 in the process. So I get chased to the bottom left corner of Perion. I'm ducking facing the left. The Rog just hovers there for about 10 seconds, staring at me. It flys away. (And FYI before this I have been killed many times.) So then Percy had the smart idea of calling it a SOB with me standing right beside him. It chased both of us -_-. About 5-7 mins later. I die. Suddenly I see a purple circle followed by a GM sign. So the GM kills the remaining Crimson, and while everyone is DEAD or following the GM around praising her (yes I got pics of the name), Percy pics up the scroll the Rog left behind. Needless to say, painful experience. And FYI, when I was cowering in the corner with it staring at me, IRL, I was VERY close to screaming. I will not deny that.

I praise/want to kill Percy for that. :)

Edit: Well, what do ya know. Another pair showed up, Channel 12, Kerning. It left though. I other words, chickened out. Here is the story. Not a big one.

After I posted that last one, Percy told me there were two more in Kerning. 'Lo and behold, there were. Killed me once, then I respawned right beside it. What did I do? Ran and screamed like a little girl. I'm only at level 12. Gimme a break. So a whole bunch of people are standin on the stairs left of the barber shop, then this rog flies through the stairs killin us all. I die having a suspicion. I ask Percy while dead, if he saw that happen. He said yes. Then I ask him if he called it a SOB and started it. Well, he did. Abit later, it just...poofs. Disappears in a black circle. No drops or anything. It just plain old got up and died.

Might aswell post my side of the story.

PDM here, Founder of MAAMA. I'm reporting ... almost ... Live from Kerning city! Attacked by Crimson Balrogs, Perion Channel 20 and KErning Channel 11 Are suffering from CBs that have just recently been defeated! Who dealt the finishing blows? A GM came and hogged the killing of the Balrogs with her dragon roar. But whats this? Everyone around here died ... Accept for PercyDM. After the Balrog died, a scroll dropped from the Balrog? What was it? What was the chance of anyone finding out what it was? It dropped right above me, thinking excitedly I teleported up spamming off my Z key. I got huge lag as the GM was reviving everyone around me. Did I fail and a revived Mapler grab the scroll? Our own reporter PercyDM had nabbed the scroll! (If only he was able to get those Evil eyes from the South perry attacks!) What was it? 10% scroll for shield defense. I screened after I clicked trade while selling to someone.

But back to Kerning. Standing beside me is long lost friend, and party member furythrower, level 60 assassin, who managed to deal damage and strike the final blow to the Roggy. I asked him what he had to say after striking the final blow. His answer?

"Can you give me bless?"

Do nothing about DEX, not even a single point.
Str and dex are suposed to be low as a Mage.

Oh and btw I found a Red Matty in Broa. :)
I will keep it for now and sell it when people are around level 35. XD

I think for mage's accuracy, it depends on the INT. Either that or just your luck in real life. In which case.....I shouldn't be able to hit a green snail. ^_^

You're a Forking magician, you don't need DEX. As a magician, level establishes your accuaracy. If you look at your accuracy in your stats it doesn't matter.

People've been spreading out sicne the attacks I guess. Channel 1 Kerning was packed before, that it'd make me lag a bit every now and then. I saw considerable less today while trying to grab some extra fame and looking for a PQ to do.

It is also having very many people because of the pq. The pq is great, I have gotten from it, 8 bronze ores, 8 unagi, and square orange earrings. You also get very many exp. Just get in a party with magicians, and you'll do just fine.
And you know sera from the beggining, with the laundry, and you have to give sara's irror to that girl, well, I kept the mirror!
