Well I was fairly sure it was a glitch but I thought it would be better to check and make sure.

This was the first time I'd actually offered to sell fame as well. It's put me off the whole idea.
I told my friend about Maple Story and he said that if he started playing now he would be level 20 by the end of the week and would go up 2 levels a day.

I got from lvl 36 to 38 in a day. I finally worked up the patience to jump B2. Once I got to the end, I got like 30% during the one and a half hours your allowed.

Just did that most of the day. And All I found that was of any value was a light mantis pants. Which I NPCed to get my arc staff. Mua ha.

I only remembered how easy the first ten levels were after I posted. I don't think he would have the patience to keep leveling at the same rate once he had got past level 10.
30 levels in a day? I could never do that. I would get really bored. You must have a lot of patience. The best I have ever managed (apart from the first 10 levels) was getting two levels in one night.

That is true actually, I plan to stop at lvl 50. Leave on a good note with a cape! ;) I do agree its pointless...and these last few lvls have made me really angry. Plus Im getting F.E.A.R...which will be teh pwn. We will see though, if I run into more peole I know from here then Ill be happy to keep playing. Lvling for me will slow way down though.

It's all in the way one plays it. If one level up 24/7, then I can see why it's a waste of time.

I, however, don't level up 24/7. I hang out with something called FRIENDS. I hunt for items and party. This no longer makes it a "pointless addiction."

Actually, partying gives a 5% to 10% exp bonus. And partying is really fun on tough enemies. Get a cleric, a spearman, and a sin, go to yetis and pepes, and have the time of your life.

I am a power leveler, and im starting to feel the effects of boredom....but lately alot of my clan friends from =EP= have been playing. I have friend from real life thats lvl 41 hunter, 2 clan members, a lvl 36 Fighter and a lvl 35 firemage. together we all party, being is how we are 1 of each type. ;)

Well, I was grounded from the PC for quite a long time.....about 3 weeks. So....that kinda messes up the time frame. Just look throughout this topic. I think 3 months worth.

What Mystic says is true. Playing the game 24/7 really is a whole lot of wasted time. However, there are friends you can hang out with, which makes the game fun.

I also have something to say on how it supposedly gets in the way of homework, friends, family, etc. To tell the truth, only the most pathetic people will let the game get in the way of priorities like that. It's very easy not to be addicted by this game. However, leveling up is pretty much a chore at the higher levels.

On another note, I got to level 29 yesterday. I'll take my sweet time getting to 30 and become a Bandit.Once I do that, I'll take another break from the game.

Is this different from any FPS? You dont accomplish anything in CS:S either...theres not even a single player. CS:S is all fun because of skill, you own someone so its fun. Just like you own in MS, better gear and lvl=owned. ;)

I have viewed the FAQ. Trust me. But what wizet says about lvling is CRAP CRAP CRAP. I could never get more than 10 levels a day and that was from level 1.

Plus, some people won't really find it worth it to buy something on the internet that's only a virtual image. There are also people who aren't really allowed to buy stuff online, mostly much of the 8-9 year olds who are a majority of the target audience in Maple Story.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Cash Shop items (some only I think) last only a certain time. It's kind of a waste to buy something that will expire in the next month or so...

I'm only half-interested in the cash shop, my interest being how it works. Everythign else, I feel isn't much help to me.

Will be EXTREMELY Expensive I bet...due to this game having such a high population of little kids most probably wont be allowed to buy it with real money. So instead they will trade MILLIONS of mesos for the items. IF they at all allow items to even be put on the trade window. (Like some quest items, you cant put on trades etc.)

I trained at gollems at level 43, you're 9 levels ahead. You'll be fine.

Yeah. Set little challanges for yourself. Such as: Get 2000 Charms of undead over a few days (example) Doing little things like this usually make leveling a little more enjoyable. A really good place to do this is the tower at Orbis. Everyday you can make 50k ish by selling those teleport scrolls.

Wild Boar- Too slow.
Evil Eye- Drain my HP, nice EXP.
Fire Boar- Tedious killing, drain MP, nice EXP.
Kitty- Relatively easy killiing, nice EXP and drops.

When I was level 35, kitties were relatively empty. However, it's another story now. If you can secure a good spot without being kill stolen by those darn mages, then kitties are your choice.

Lvl 35 for me, I was at fireboars with major spammage of lucky seven...like major spammage. O_O But you are a warrior so who knows. I thought land of the wild boar spawn was insane when you can like 1-2 hit kill with that move that attacks like 4 enemies at once.

Im level 54 now, and im owning it up at golems. Someone told me to go to jr. yetis, so I did only to discover they took the same amount of hits as golems but gave less exp. So, im at golems now, with great spawn, drops, and exp.

And Mystic, I love how you took those skill logos and put them in your sig. I might copy that off somday. ^_-

Jr. Yetis give much, much better drops. The rarest is the coveted 60% glove attack scroll, which sells for 3.1m each (and rising, due to supply and demand). Also, if you have crowd control skills like Slash Blast, it's much better exp.

Fame doesn't do anything but allow you to wear dark equipment (that needs 20 fame). It was believed that, a long time ago, you needed 100 fame to start a guild, but the guild system was implemented in jMS, and it didn't require fame. So anything besides that is not true, sorry to say. If you want proof, I have 110 fame and I still get crap drops.

I have high dex, low strength, and that was against a Dark Yeti with a level 2 defense up skill. Also, what class was he? If he was an assassin, bandit, or hunter, or crossbowman, that would explain why. They have much higher damage multipliers than warriors. How high?
