For mage you need 4-5 str and 4-5 dex, for wariror you need 4-5 int and 4-5 luk, for thief you need 4-5 int and 4-5 str, for bowman you need 4-5 int and 4-5 luk

i think your character is a bit messed up. You gotta find out what you wanna be before creating a character. A magician only needs INT and LUK, so you should try and roll at MOST a 5 for both STR and DEX. So basically, each time you level up you'd only add LUK and INT.

Scrap that character. First off you're gonna advance 2 levels behind, thus losing 6 SP. Secondly you're going to be much MUCH weaker than normal.

At level 8, a mage-to-be should look more like this, if at all possible:

STR: 4 (or as close to 4 as possible)
DEX: 4 (or as close to 4 as possible)
INT: Everything that doesn't go into LUK
LUK: 11

(The correct mage build is LUK = level + 3 and all else into INT.)

You're still early in, so restarting isn't that big of a deal.

That's much MUCH better, Joshua. What I'd also suggest you do is take a look on GameFAQs for a magician guide, and choosse a skill build that looks appealing to you. (AFAIK the three most important 3rd job skills are Improving Max MP, Magic Guard, and Magic Claw)

That's a better one. The first skill build leaves you without a magic attack for quite a while, which is makes it absolutely horrible for a mage to continue on. Even a level 1 energy bolt will be good for awhile.

I don't neccessarily like the second one either. Something just seems odd choosing between MP recovery and Magic Claw, becase just about every experienced mage uses Magic Claw.

And having 25 INT at level 8 is okay, just as long as your LUK is 11 at that level to. Just remember the general AP build for mages:

STR: 4
DEX: 4
INT: Everything that doesn't go into LUK
LUK: Level + 3

I'll help Zxor out here, since he's probably (most likely) the only sane person here. This isn't intended to be a flame, because I'm not mad or whatever, just annoyed. If this was intended to be a flame, it would be worse. And honestly, it's sad to see people talking more about MS on a Golden Sun forum.

1. He's voicing his opinion. Big deal. If Zxor says he doesn't like you, then he doesn't. I don't like many people on MS, like Sheba, Gimli, Nobody, etc. just because who knows why they started not talking to me, lying, etc. Zxor's in the same boat. That means... yes! Shut it. 2. Use the term noob correctly. Newbs are newcomers to a game or whtever—noobs and n00bs are people who are obnoxious, annoying, stupid, ignorant, or break the rules. Also means idiots trying to act like they approve rules when they abuse others. (People who don't care about a cussing filter, yet hate hackers.).

3. MS isn't the biggest thing since sliced bread. Don't hate on people who either don't like to play anymore, or just think the people on it blows. Leave them alone, they don't care, go swallow your backwash or something, forget your drama.

4. Don't be an emotard (my word, mine) You guys (Sheba, Gimli, Nobody) are the most annoying people ever, me and Zxor are just the only ones who stand up to you guys and actually know there's something called Earth. Quit living on Maple Island. Quit trying to make groupies and "in-crowds." We don't care, and you look pretty dumb doing it.
