Sins are a bother. I haven't met a sin that hasn't KSed me to all hell. (Which is ironic, since bowmen are just as capable for KSing)

Are you training at copper drakes now? Sins love it there and will never give up trying to get a spot there. And yes, we ks bad...>_> usually its on accident for me. Or kicking people out of a spot for my friends lol.

Go to East Rocky Mountain (6?) and the place is empty, but filled with Copper Drakes.... and the usual annoying Fire Boar. I get KSed a LOT. Not only by Sins and Mages, but people LOWER LEVELS THAN ME. Because I have dialup, after I hit an enemy, It dies after 3 - 10 seconds, leaving it open for anyone to KS me. Not to mention I get looted like hell. It takes me like 2-5 seconds to pick up ONE item.

Mother****er. I was PQing just now right after the new patch was out. There was nobody around except for a handful of people so we made a quick party and got into PQ really easy. But then there was a notice saying that there was going to be an emergency server check and they booted us out just after we beat King Slime. I only play Maple in the mornings since there are barely any Americans on which means it's ten times easier to get into PQ.

The pink damage numbers are only for crits, not for uber-1337 damage amounts.

EDIT: Which brings me to the realization about how wide my damage range is. Taking into account that my archer is only level 17, I can do 44 crit, but on my next shot do 45 normal. <_<

I think Archers really are the best job you can have. I have both a lv 30 Assasin and a lv 29 Bowman. Archer has just more max damage and range then Assasin, sure sins are faster but... What would you like more? Killing fast in 2 attacks up close or killing somewhat slower it in 1 attack from a further distance? Also Archers don't rely that much on Skills as sins, damn sins eat money... They aint got that high MP and they need it more then Mages... o.o

I only do that because I love video games A LOT. If I can't play during the weekdays, while my parents are home, then I sneak on and play this game. Believe me, if I could play during the weekdays, It'd be a miracle to see me on three times a week, playing 1-2 hours total ._.

Aside from that...Assassins are the biggest money wasters ever. You'll be poor most of the time with them. And, as most people said, thay depend way too much on MP. Magicians can only do damage with MP, and if they run out of it, they're useless, making Magicians pretty unreliable.

Warriors and Bowmen/women are the best, partly because they hardly depend on MP, like Bowmen/women. Second, they dish out the most damage without using MP, unless you count the Bowman/woman's large attack range and Critical Shot.

Magicians also can heal 80 Mp every 10 sec while Assasins are 3 mp. Although Assassins are bad, they are the most fun to use.

MMORPG is all about time. Anyone can become good, all you need to do is be the sadder of the bunch and train more. Being an LV73 doesn't show how amazing you are, it just shows you've spent 500+ hours more than everyone else. Big deal?

But leetness in an FPS means you can take on many people at once, you can get headshots like crazy, you can get a 50 - 1 kill/death ratio. THAT's true leetness. Leetness in a puzzle game is stacking up insane points while your friend struggles to stack up 2 lines. But pressing CTRL for 3 hours in a row while moving the Left & Right arrow keys is NOT leet.

Actually this game requires some fancy button work sometimes. When I was a warrior, I would always attack, move forward slightly and attack again to avoid being hit by monsters. Just holding down CTRL doesn't work very well.

I have my controls set up like this attachment. Savage Blow is on 'X' for easy changing over when I feel like swapping to my dagger. It's a pain in the ass having the chat option set to Spacebar though. I accidently press it quite alot.

It's all up to YOUR personal preferance. From my experience, if you want the easy and boring path, be a cleric. But it you want to have a fun but slightly difficult time while playing, make a theif. And if you're into building up to something incredibly powerful, make a warrior. I've never made a bowman, so I can't really say anything on them.

Eh, I put my controls like this:

I take out all window hotkeys out except for Equipment and Items. I set Items to C and Equipment to V. This way I can easily equip/unequip stuff.

I set skills to the Shift, A, S, D, and F keys.

I set potions the Q, W, E, and R keys.

This way, it's easy to navigate with my right hand and do everything else with the left. :P I NEVER use the... Quick Key (I think that was what it was called) stuff because it's too irritating for me to stop using the arrow keys just to hit Insert, Home, Puge Up, etc. buttons.

My controls are default. I'm using a laptop keyboard so End, PgDn, PgUp, Home, Delete, Shift etc. are all extremely close to my arrow keys meaning I can quicky use pots in battles with extreme ease. The most complex thing you can pull off in this game is to slash/jump or jump/slash. Personally I prefer the slash jump, so you end up slashing right after you've jumped in the air and then landing on the other side of the enemy. My personal favourite, and the only move that requires good timing.

The reason why claws have ''crappy attack'', is because assassins benefit the most from weapon attack boosts. If the attack of the claws wasn't that low, assassins would be extremely overpowered.
And it isn't all about damage. Speed is also an important factor. Assassins have Haste and attack a lot faster, if you didn't know.
You seem to keep bringing up new arguements, instead of actually replying to the content of my post. And I thought we were discussing 2nd job here, so please stay on topic.

Thieves level MUCH faster until around level 50-55, when arrow bomb is essential to the archer and is actually productive. Then they are about equal, then the archer pulls ahead of the sin in training speed.

My goal wasn't to win the arguement, but to get rid of the common misperceptions that occur when ''praising'' a job. For example: high maximum damage isn't necessarily an advantage, it also means your minimum damage is very low. Another error of judgement is MP. Hmm. Well Archers aren't too skilled with a bow until roughly lvl 17. Before that time, Archers can use Melee weapons, which still work fairly well thanks to the Archer's STR lvl. (assuming you maxed STR to 30, which is as far as you should max it until lvl 30-ish)

Yeah thats a good dessision. You've probarly been playing very much since I dunno... You don't play this game too long huh? And yeah since your girlfriend lives in Canada it would probarly the best thing to do. Level 70 is something to be pround of.

Anyways, I got to level 34 today. Leveling as an Assassin isn't that hard but daaymn it costs alot of money. At the begin of this week I had 300k. I bought myself some Mokbies for 180k and bought some Mana Elixers. The problem is... I use WAAAAY too much Mana Elixers. It kinda bothers me that Assassins rely on MP this much. I earn money pretty fast, I can earn like 70k a day but... I gotta refill Mana Elixers each 20% Exp and become poor again. And the fact I play in Windia doesn't really help me at all. I found a Red Shadow (F) and a Ivory Shouldermail (F) by fighting Stirges, awesome equipment but... In Windia there aren't many high leveled girls, well I saw some around level 36 or so but nothing around level 50. Im trying to sell them via BasilMarkt but nobody seems to need it... <.<
