Could be worse....but still sucks man. I have just quit ms for the night at 50% till lvl 41....I can tell this is gonna be a LONG training session. Good thing Im scrolling.

Wow, that sucks. At least your main was spared.
And that's a reason that I trust very few people with my pw. Only 3 people (thats INCLUDES me) know my password, and that's all.

Anyway, I tried soloing a Jr Rog earlier today. I wounded it pretty badly, but when it got close, I forgot to jump on the rope and got 1HKO'd. On purpose, I did it when I had just lvled so I had barely any exp to lose.

A few days ago, we assembled a party to kill Tauromacis. The members were 1 spearman (57), 1 hunter (50) (me), 1 assassin (41), and 1 cleric (42). It was a slaughter; we killed like 60 tauromacis and countless numbers of cold eyes. Everyone except for the spearman died one time in the oricess though. It was fun though, I gained 4% (including the death).

Trying to get hacks, opening an email from a hacker, or using hacks yourself are the only ways you can get hacked...unless the person is really good. Then that person shouldnt be playing ms....

So, what your saying is they cant incorporate a keylogger into the .exe? I think they could easily myself, being is how thats the way the keylogger gets on the "innocent" persons pc to begin with.

They cant if they use Trainer Maker kit. It makes the hack for you automacilly~ You need to make a C++ or VB one I think. =\

I play Maple Story because I have good friends who keep the game interesting. There IS more to it than just leveling, you know. I realized that this game does nothing for you in real life a long time ago, but that never stopped me. Besides, if you look at it that way, all games are pointless.

Anyways. Why am I here? Well, I was watching 3rd Job Advancement videos and I was forcefully reminded of Golden Sun, and I realized I really, really missed it. So, upon reaching level 70, I made my own 3rd Job Advancement video, and implemented Golden Sun music into it. Needless to say, I feel the video should go here.

Yes, I did praise Sheba for being a pure beginner, although I didn't say it was a waste of time. In jMS, Beginners get a 100 attack weapon (beginners ONLY) at like level 20, so it's pretty leet.

I dont find playing MS (or any game for that matter) a waste of time. It's a challange, and I'm one who likes to challange myself. Sure, it's a game and I could be out learning how to splice ropes or something (wtf?). But hey? It's fun walking around a virtual world pretending to be something your not.

Anyway; Gippal is really starting to take shape. 2H KO-ing Undead Mushes makes for moderatly fast leveling, as does helping mush higher leveled characters (namely, a level 50 spearman) doing their dirty work. Sure, I died twice against Jr Yeti's in about a 20 minute span, but it was fun pwning them with him for a while.

And isn't that the real point of MS? Having fun?

That'd be MY assassin, and the only reason you beat him is cause I stopped playing...weeks ago? The game does absolutely nothing for you after level 40. It's boring as hell. Nothing to really look forward to.

My point is, MS is not rewarding in the slightest. What's your incentive to get to lvl 30? To use Arrow Bomb? Uh, yes. But then, what does using Arrow Bomb do? Not much, besides killing monsters. Oh, wait, I was killing monsters all week to get lvl 30, now that I'm lvl 30 I get to kill MORE monsters... w00t...

My main arguement is, MS has no real point to it or any incentive to keep playing it. I think there are other, more rewarding games that have more of a point to it. When you're tired of MS and stop playing it, you look back on it and think "All those wasted hours...", whilst in other games when I'm bored of it, I think "Wow, I had alot of fun with that in it's prime!"

But, I always get bored once my character gets in his 20's. I never really feel like getting the second advancement, I actually feel more enthusiastic trying to get to level 255 in Star Ocean ^.^

But I still usually die pretty quick. If the latter happens, I head back to the Ant tunnel or B2 and blast some undeads. Im doing about 500 damge with heal at the moment. Quite satisfying if you ask me.

I go with him on occassion, we don't train together. The only time I train with him is at mushmom and red drakes, which doesn't happen often. Besides, that's training with him, not getting help.

Clerics arent the richest class in the game =\. They might SAVE more due that they dont need HP pots, but the savings go to waste when buying MP Pots. The richest class is, I would have to say as far as in magicians, either Fire or Ice mages. Their drops RULE.

Anyway, instead of training on Stone gollems, I decided to train on Hectors/Jr Yetis in Watch Out for Icy Path I-II near El Nath. The spawn and exp is a lot faster, but the mesos earned is different...I got over 55% in 1 day yesterday for the first time in a while training there.

Anyway, I made an avatar out of part of a screen I took. The dimensions were a bit off though, so its a bit crappy and squished as you see.

Hell, being a Cleric, you can rake in money as the need foor healing potions is nullified with Heal. Yesterday I spent about 3 hours total playing MS and I got approximatly 100k in without using a single HP or MP potion. (All I found was some red knucklevest pants, which I NPCed)

SoT: If you have alot of time on your hands and you want to play something relatively simple, MS is for you. If you want a game with depth play something else. =/

In fact, I recommend against playing MMORPGs to begin with, particularily free ones. :P ROSE Online is the best in my opinion, I only played it about a week though. I liked the simplicity MS had to offer more than the "depth" that ROSE had.

Here is what you should do, while in the trade menu tell the person to fame you. If they requested trade your profile window is probably still up behidnd thier trade menus. You show cash, they fame you click trade. When they see the money it really makes things easier.

If you don't mind, Phantom, I'd like to comment on your SP build. I believe it is essential for warriors to max Improve Max HP Increase first thing, to ensure that you have the most HP later on. 1-2 levels of delaying can mean hundreds of HP reduction later on.

For the record, no, there's no quest in which you can get them. Korean Fans can only be dropped by Lorangs, and Red Whips can only be dropped by Wraiths.

Yeah, Time differences are a pain. However, during my afternoon, Scania is somewhat empty, leaving it pretty easy to work with. But because of this, my weekends arn't to profitable, as during the meat of the day Scania is packed. My best times are probably 2pm- 10pm. Channel one is still full though. It's never empty :P

I think Nepandeaths drop fans as well don't they? I've never even seen one let alone killed one, so Im not entirely sure on that.

There's not really a right answer to that. Maxing skills depends on what you do/train. Personally, I'd clerics to max Bless (because I keep missing high level monsters <_<p), but that's just me.

From memory, at level 20 it did about 60-70 ish. Now I have it at level 20 and it does 500ish to a single mushroom, and about 200 if im in a big-ass mob of them.

But I've been playing my Claw-Bandit on Bera lately. I have this image of him at level 60 in the dark scorpio set and a geta. Man that looks awesome. And Savage blow looks nice. So does Haste.

I'm not quite sure how I did but I managed to get this to happen. I was seeing someones level when it messed up. Look at my level in the corner and look at the level in the middle of the screen.

That's just a glitch. When you are about to view someone's info and they leave the map, it shows your picture, and their stats.

That same thing happened to me, a while back, just a glitch.

As for the cash shop and 3rd advancement, it says that it will come out in a couple of weeks, well, something new will come out.

38 begginer, WHAT IS THE POINT. You raise Dex and Str, so you might aswell become a warrior and have skills to use.

It's leet. Kind of like novelty items. What's the point of having an umbrella? Because it's cool. And besides that, they get 100 attack weapons at level 20. I have a 91 attack weapon at level 71.

Because, it has EVERYTHING. Third Job Advancement, Cash Shop, Ludibrium, 2x exp, active GMs, anti-hacking measures, nice community, the works.
