Fallout 1: Complete bullshit. Everything takes far too long and I'm extremely impatient. When it takes 10 minutes to walk down a FUCKING corridor, you know something is up.

Also, Overlord 2 can eat my ass. The amount of arbitrary things it asks me to do is ridiculous. I cant destroy this weak little pillar, I have to get a giant man to smash into it for me through a completely drawn out process in a pathetic attempt to "innovate".

One thing that does bug me about Tales of Vesperia is the way it insists on making some of your party members disappear. I have to use people who I've ignored for most of the game right now.

....but they level up the same rate as the characters you do use and none of them are particularly bad when the AI is controlling them atleast

presonally got to lvl 200, completed the secret dungeon and am currently doing the 200 man melee with everyone; Raven is easily the worst character in the game in terms of battle use =(

Because Mogenar has three red orb things you've got to shoot to expose the weak points. They orbs themselves are only exposed for like three seconds at best and each take, I dunno, twenty shots maybe?. And originally, I thought you had to shoot all of them before you could do anything. Mogenar grabs new orbs on the occasion too if you're in an awkward spot so you're not quick enough to get them all.

Also, Hypermode... takes HP to use. I didn't see the health pick ups that get littered around the field sometimes. Felt like a big slap in the face.

And THEN I saw that there was a red orb on the guy's back!

Once I learned all the quirks of the fight, the health pick ups, the one on his back, etc. it isn't too tough then but still. Was not a fun boss fight at all.

Finished LOTR-Conquest. Was rubbish, so glad I borrowed it off a mate then forked up cash to buy it. No more then 5 hours of single player unless you suck hard. Not a fan of the online mode as well so yea, pretty crap all around. Easy way to boost my Gamer Score though.

Dead Space is good. The first two levels are really creepy and got a few jumps out of me, but after that (I'm up to level five, I think) I got used to the game's method of making you scared. Playing it at night does help, though.

Titan Quest

Picked it up on D2d for the £5 offer and it's actually really good. It's a more modern version of Diablo, and on top of that, more fun in my opinion. It uses extremely similar mechanics (ie, stolen the inventory system) but it's really really fun. I just wish I had people to play it with cuz atm it's just a long grindfest.

Well, let's see...

If you're like me and you never owned Halo 3, or you just never bought the additional maps packs for it, ODST is more than worth the $60 because it comes with ALL the Halo 3 maps plus three others, one being a remake of one of Halo 2's maps. ODST essenially comes like this: One disc with the campaign and the Firefight mode, and a second disc with the multiplayer.

If you already have Halo 3 and all the maps, it's really more of an expansion than a full game (Although it was kinda expected, really). It'll come down to how much you enjoy the campaign and Firefight. Firefight, IMO, is incredibly fun, and if you like survival gametypes, it'll be amazing. It just doesn't have matchmaking, which is a pretty big setback if, like me, you run out of space for friends. >.>
The campaign is really good, too, just super short.

Oh yeah, the pistol fucken' rocks, and it's still the same ol' Halo gameplay. I'm obsessed with the Gravity Hammers myself lol.

It's a side weapon for a reason. Brute headshots, grunt and jackal 1HKs.

Personally, I always have an AutoMag with me unless it runs out of ammo. In which case I'll switch to the next best headshot machine, the carbine.

Like Ninja said, if you don't already own Halo 3 it's worth it because of all the map packs. I'm borrowing it of a mate and I'm glad I am cause I wouldn't buy it after playing it. If Firefight could go Live maybe then but I was a bit disappointed.

I played the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta and... wait for it... it's actually FUN. My only complaints is that matchmaking doesn't work like it should, I've played matches where guys ranked in the tens and lower were on one team and guys ranked thirty and higher on the other; and shotgunners are annoying. Because it's cheaper online (most of the time), I'll usually get it a day early, getting into town is hard for me because it involves train/bus fare and it's just far less hassle. I can buy something in about 4 clicks online while going to shops requires me to get a bus to the train station, wait half an hour because it's delayed, walk from the station to the game shop, wait in line, pay £10 more than I would online and then walk back to the train station, get on the train after waiting for more delays, and then get another bus/get a lift back to my house from the station.

Truly a masterpiece of the action RPG genre. Right when you start feeling comfortable with your character and think it's a decent build, it pulls out something new to force you to adapt and try to learn new things. It never gets stale. I wish I could find some new armor for my character though... I've been using the starting armor this whole time. I must be missing something.

The PS3 has absolutely killed the 360 this year, I think. Between this and Uncharted 2, no matter how rare Demon's Souls is. I can't think of a 360 exclusive that was worth anything this year. (Halo ODST yeah right)

Borderlands is fucking AWESOME.

In co-op with 2 friends yesterday, were dicking around (my level was 12, theirs were 22 and 24) and then we lit some torches with incinderary bullets to see what it did, and it summoned some HUGE fucking bird that was lvl 25, and an epic battle ensued where it dropped massive fireballs on us while we took cover, revived each other and after a half an hour fight, we brought it down. We couldn't find the loot because it died on behind an invisible mountain barrier, but it was such an epic battle.

Also, getting owned by a psycho midget 3 times your level has to go down in gaming history as one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me.

Exactly. Most of the bigger hype from what I've seen generated just around and after the game was released which, from what I can tell, is working very well for this game. It's not the most amazing game that'll be released this gen but it looks like good fun. Too much hype before it was released would just make people say it sucks. (Fable games)

Fable II wasnt bad, just small. It did a lot of things right and you were like "yeah I cant wait to conquer all of al-wait was that it?"

Hey guys. I finally got around to playing Twilight Princess, which has been sitting, practically untouched, in it's case for nearly two years now.

Graphics are very nice in some spots and [iokay[/i] in others. Music is kinda lacking in general, but not all the time, and it's not too bad. The controls can be a bit un-wieldly at times, but I seem to be capable of picking off enemies from quite a distance (no z-targeting, obviously) without wasting any arrows, so it's not that bad.

Game play overall seems kinda repetitive with the whole "talk to light spirit, find/kill bugs, go through dungeon, kill boss, but each area is different to the point that it's not that much of an annoyance. At least each new dungeon has new elements and new surprises (like magnetic walls in Death Mountain).


Overall though, it's pretty fun, and definitely more of a challenge than WW. Though still, it's not quite that challenging.

But hey, better for it to be a bit too easy, but still keep my interest, than to be a bit to hard and leave me stuck in a spot to the point where I set it down and forget it, imo.

I've sunk about 24.5 hours total into Borderlands. Even with Assassin's Creed 2 and Left Fo' Dead 2 coming out this month I have a feeling that I'll be playing Borderlands for a loooong time.

I played Co-op Borderlands last night for a bit, dunno really what happened but this Lv 41 Siren joined my group and did about 5 quests for me in about 2 minutes. Also killed Sledge for me so that was nice.
