MGS1. Holy crap the boss battles are insanely difficult and unfair. You practically have only a sliver of health personally, and often times you're extremely limited on healing items, only caring 2 or 4 at a time depending on what part of the game you're at.

With that said, it's oh-so satisfying when you finally beat them.

And if you run out of ammo for a weapon essential to the fight, some ammo will conveniently pop up for you. You just have to look for it.

I guess you're just better at games than I am. I barely had to use any continues on MGS3, on MGS1 I've already racked up a few and I've only played for 5 hours.

I own 1, 3, and now 5P. Since it's only an extended demo, it lacks in content(needing licenses, upgrading parts, only about 40 races, and 70 cars), but it's still great. The graphics are probably the best I've ever seen, maybe just behind MGS4. The actually races are as good as ever, and seem a little harder then they previously were.

I can't wait for the full version. Not being able to upgrade my cars is really annoying me at the moment.

Damn, you missed out on the awesomeness that was 4. Although you could get yourself a copy while you wait for 5. It probably won't amaze you now, but it holds up well for a PS2 title, and hey, at least it's a full game.

Finished MGS1. Glad that's done with. Well, I did like the game. The thing with MGS1 compared to the rest is that it didn't feel too linear because the game didn't go by levels per se; you can backtrack everywhere unlike the newest MGS games where they move you all over the place involuntarily.

Sneaking past guards was easy enough most of the time, but some of the bosses were damn difficult. I remember Ninja and Psycho Mantis being particularly hard, but they were pretty early on in the game so maybe that was because I wasn't used to the game yet. Metal Gear was also a really tough fight until I learned I could use Chaff Grenades and then Stun Grenades against it, then it would be pretty much a sitting duck. =P

Now playing MGS2, then I'll play MGS4 so I'll make the story "complete". You really are miss a lot of the whole experience in the MGS games if you don't understand the story.

Have you gotten any of the good endings? There's 12 more. When you start a new Game Plus, depending on when you choose to fight the Time Devourer(just like Lavos in CT), the ending will change.

I'm a little disapointed with my game now. With only three races with units that do the same thing for every army, the gameplay gets repetitive fast. Again, getting anywhere in the game takes hours, and even somebody with alot of time on their hands like myself will quickly grow bored or distracted. Without any type of campaign, or even a storyline for that matter, you can throw any form of immersion out the window. Fighting is a bitch until you get used to the interface, and even then you still need to take the time to climb your techtree and build your fleet to do any planet conquering.

It depends on the mods that you are using and what the mods are changing. I found that having lots of smaller mods actually makes it crash more, while having a couple of big mods makes things smoother (and probably changes more things)

Some people have well over 100 plugins active. I myself don't like going much more above 60.

My friend's got somewhere around a 2.2GHz Athlon 64 CPU, 1.5GB of DDR RAM, and....can't remember the graphics card. It's a radeon though. He gets 15 FPS max with the settings I'm using right now. I think I'm getting 20-30 on average.

Anyway, Crysis will make your computer scream in agony with that graphics card. This is the card I'm using. The exact same model. It's orgasmic. Especially since it's only $60 after the rebate.

And even though the Pentium Dual Core's have smaller cache's and run at lower frequencies than the Pentium D, they seem to outperform.

Pentium E2220 clocked at 2.2GHz, or if your motherboard will let you overclock, get the Pentium E2180 at 2GHz for $10 less and OC it as high up as 3.8GHz (depending on your motherboard).

Completed Bad Company on Easy mode. Great game, really fun single player, if it is a bit repetetive. Highlight for me: Having tank battles on a golf course.

Gonna replay on normal difficulty now, and get all the gold bars and weapons.

A Pentium D is a dual core. That's why there's a "D" there.

Anyway, I installed the Halo demo for kicks. Graphics and sound actually suck. Even compared to NFS: Porsche Unleashed, which is at least a few years older. Though it is a demo, so I dunno.

I'm pretty good at Galaxy, not all that great at Sunshine, and suck at SM64. Go figure.

You just don't know how to get aquainted with the new movement style. Things in general seem a little bit lighter with less friction when compared to Sunshine. At least that's my opinion.
