Oh its nothing like a shooter. Trying to shoot without VATS is pretty much pointless because enemies run so fast and you're just making it harder for yourself as headshots are much harder to score on an enemy who is running around. This may sound really obvious, but you dont realise how much different it is to shooters until you're actually playing.

My main problem with F3 is the same problem as with Morrowind, in that I CAN'T CARRY ANYTHING. I have a ****load of weapons, but becasue of that I'm constantly just shy of the load limit. I can't carry any loot to sell because of this, and so I'm always low on caps.

Seriously? If you havent alredy got a house get one and store all the stuff you wont need with you there and sell all the stuff you dont need to shops, constantly repair etc. Only when fighting the people with power armour would I hit the limit.

Do enemies level up in this? I swear they do because I had incredible difficulty destroying one of those robots with 3 legs earlier, and early in the game I completely dominated them.

No? The leveling works like you go to an area and the enemies lock at that level. Like if you went to Capitol Hill at level 4 (which was STUPID in hindsight...) and came back at level 10, the enemies are still at level 4.

I played the Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts demo yesterday. It was really fun for what I played, but for a demo it was massive and was a bit too big to take in. I'll rent the game, maybe even buy it because the demo gave some great impressions. It just better have some platforming sections as well as driving though.

i've since gone back to lower difficulties, but i find myself getting no challenge from Hard difficulty whatsoever, as in i'm doing max dificulty stages on Hard with non maxed characters and its rare for me to go below half health withot even healing

People are social creatures, so it makes sense that there's a lot of people who prefer multi-player (or at least co-op).

A lack of multiplayer or co-op in a console game is kind of a turn off for me. There's obviously exceptions, but I'm usually more willing to buy a title if it has multiplayer.

I'd like to see more racing, RPG, and adventure games personally. Having an entire environment to explore is almost never a bad decision.

I actually prefer games which focus on the single player experience. The gameplay tends to be a lot more immersive that way, eg. Bioshock.

Brawl's online multiplayer sucked, but it was definately better than having none at all. Regular multiplayer is still great though.

Still, as long as the single player mode doesn't take a hit (if that's what the game is focused on), then I don't realy mind if the multiplayer is tacked on or not. At least as long as it's somewhat bearable.

Can't beat the secret lab map for Blue Moon on hard. It's pretty intense. It takes three days just to get rid of the B-Copters, and after that, I still have to capture a base which will be guarded by an artillery and a tank.

And then there's a rocket, one or two MD tanks, and a neotank gurading the lab.

Time limit is 15 days, and funds are incredibly small.


....anyway, I'm working on that one map with the three Black Cannons, fog of war, and a whole lot of trees.

I re-bought FF7 a year and a half ago..but that's sorta different.

And I buy old games, but they tend to be mostly RPG's I discover, or forgot existed. But I don't have 7, 7 year old games going at once.

My first level is sort of done, but I want to add more to it because atm it's very generic.

I started on a second level which takes place in a cave. I made a fully functional pickup truck for this level. It has a tailgate that you can open and close via a lever on the truck. The gimmick to this level are puzzles involving carrying stuff on the truck and clearing paths to get the truck from point A to point B. Just finished the first puzzle which has you searching for a lever to activate an elevator to bring the truck up a cliff. =)

Fallout 3 is amazing, restarted my character after a few hours, so much better now I know what I'm doing. Not the biggest fan of the combat yet, probably because I'm still weak, wish you could play more FPS then rely on V.A.T.S

Yeah, I was a little dissapointed witht he shooting. Trying to kill something without AP is almost hopless unless you have a minigun or something that doesn't really require aiming.

Yea I find myself running around with a rifle. Had some bad experiences lately, came back from Super Duper Mart carrying twice the weight I could normally meaning I couldn't run. Ran into a nest of Mole Rats, freak it was gay, ran out of AP, had to wait till they came really close and just spammed them.

Jesus Christ. I was hoping this Carmine would live, but no. Apparently, the developers have made up some kind of gag where the Carmine brothers all have to die in horrible ways. I liked Carmine, then he goes and gets eaten by a giant worm and killed by these little spider things. :\

The weight thing in Fallout was something I also had an issue with. Since you can't fast travel while over encumbered, you can't load up and sell everything back at Megaton. And you can't really carry much at all at the beggining of the game unless you point points into Strength.

You realise you can drop stuff so you're not over-encumbered, go to megaton to sell it, then go back and pick up the stuff you dropped earlier, right?

Yea I get that, but I couldn't be stuffed so I just walked.

My little brother has that, and from what i've seen it's not great. I say this about music as well; you can love listening to something as much as you want, I dont care, but that has no effect on whether it's good or not. It pisses me off when people say "omg this song is amazing" just because they like it.

I'm thinking of buying Jak 3 tomorrow (last-gen rules, shut up). I don't think I've ever seen physics in a platformer, should be interesting. Although I'm worried it might be too easy like the reviews say.

Yeah, I got Jak 3 today. The thing cost me twenty freaking dollars, thank you very much Christmas sales. Gameplay is pretty much what I was expecting, but holy crap, the technology that has gone into this series never ceases to amaze me. Probably the best graphics engine of any game I've played this gen.

Mother 3 so far has been a pretty unique RPG. You can earn money by fighting, but to get it, you have to talk to a frog (which is also how you save) to withdrawl your money. However, you can also obtain money instantly by doing jobs. So far, I've only come across one place where you can work, and there's only one job there. I'm suspecting that the more you work there, the higher your wages get (starts out at 200DP per job), but I've done the job 4 times already. Maybe 5 is the lucky number.

Anyway, currently climbing a tower with some pretty tough baddies. Wish there were more save points.

I was doing so well, caused half the other team to leave unintentionally, then a spy backstabs me and then i'm ****ing on the other team. What's the point? Who's idea was autobalance?

Ehh I'm getting tired of Jak. The story is decent, though devoid of any real humour, and it's already painfully obvious what one of the plot twists is going to be. It's improved in some areas, and the new weapons and Light powers are definitely useful, but there's still too many random minigames and the level/game design can go from brilliant to lazy in the space of a mission. Nowhere near the perfection of the first game.

FIFA 09 relies on way too many button combinations. If I'm being marked and I want to do a 360 degree turn, I have to press the L trigger, use the right stick and then turn with the left one. I don't understand why I can't just rotate on the left stick. Big button combinations should be in stuff like Tekken, not football games.

A friend has let me borrow Bioshock and it's pretty good so far. Very creepy, though not as much as Dead Space was. Only in the medical pavillion so far.

The setting of Bioshock makes it scarier, with the story behind it i'd say. Dead Space is more jumpy scares, and Bioshock is more atmospheric scares
