Lol, I work at gamestop, I had 300 dollar limit. Though I guess the sale on used 360's was over, I got, used 360, used 20 gig, used halo 3, 2 gamestop cheap controllers.

Right at the end of a ****ing 3 hour mission on RA3, my allies die leaving me to kill 1 little airship on the tiniest bit of health on the other side of the map, with NO ****ING ANTI AIR. I actually just kicked the **** out of everything I saw just now, my knuckles are bleeding with rage and a **** load of stuff is broken.

Got through the RA3 level only to encounter an even harder one D:

50 minutes may seem like a long time limit, but when you're defending your base from missiles and helicopters when you have to destroy 7 iron curtains and THEN destroy a fortress, it's not as fun as it sounds.

I also found that the source of my game anger is TF2. I'm going to put it away for a while, and hopefully i'll calm down and be more relaxed in games.

That being said, TF2 is recieving an update on 360 soon.

No such thing as XP Ultimate as far as I know.

I'm dual booting XP Professional and Vista Ultimate x64 right now. Trying to get Fedora installed as well, but the dang DVD won't boot. I think my ISO is trashed.

I've pretty much finished my second playthrough of FFXII, just need to take care of a few sidequests, hunts and Espers. Although I'm a completionist so I'll probably end up doing a ton of other little things as well.

I've been using full speed active mode for field battles and it's so much liberating than just waiting the entire game. Pretty much my main goal for the file was to get the Zodiac Spear, which is awesome at first but then it's just as good as any other weapon. Eh.

It's red alert, a bit goofy for a RTS, fun but not great. I think Sins was more... serious and better as a RTS game overall. Still fun though, and will definitely keep me entertained for a while.

aha thats why your using Vista. I'd go for the service pack versions see if that will help or wait until Windows 7 (which I hope will be better than Vista).

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Windows 7 (despite what the name inclines) is going to use an updated version of the NT 6 kernel (the one Vista uses). So it'll likely still be prone to many of the problems that Vista has had.

The network administrator at my school modified the kernel of the copy of Windows Vista Buisness that's running in the computer lab. It's far less prone to crashing now.

I've managed to get around my three game problem. I'm still going with Fallout 3 and have started on Lost Odyssey. Once I've beaten Fallout 3, I'll move onto Fable II.
Playing Lost Odyssey makes me feel like I'm in Back to the Future. The game itself feels very similar to FFX (not surprisingly) and the fact its on four discs reminds me of the old PS1 games. It's great fun so far though.

President one was eeeasy, just sent some cyrocopters over so the president was frozen and could never actually reach the controls, with some anti-air to stop the planes from protecting him.

Cuba one is relatively easy, just make sure you protect your allies because they kept dying for me which made it really hard. Use lots of aircraft carriers and hydrofoils to protect them. Aircraft carriers can reach all the silos from certain points, so build 3-4 of them and you'll be good to go. Build about 10 hydrofoils and set them to the stopping power one that means enemies cant shoot.

It took me about 48 hours to beat Tales of Vesperia the first time, but I didn't do most of the sidequests. They easily add more hours to your overall playing time.

I picked up Fable II and Ninja Gaiden II again.

The cyrocopter plan is brilliant, don't know why I didn't think of that.

Cuba wasn't that hard, the co-commander was suckish at first with killing the kirovs. But once he got over that, it was quite easy.

Finished the allied campaign now, last mission was actually quite easy considering the insane amount of credits you got. I just put my proton collider in my co-commander's base since he's better at base protecting than me. Finished the allied campaign now, last mission was actually quite easy considering the insane amount of credits you got. The Cuba mission was easy, I dont know why your co-commander was crap at killing Kirovs, did you use the co-commander commands and use the attack unit command? Every time a Kirov on his side of the map spawned, I'd just target it for him and he'd take it out pretty quickly.

The last mission was far easier than I was expecting. After clearing out the bases with a few mirage tanks, I captured all the buildings around so I could build the apocalypse tanks. Built about 10 of them, sold the buildings, and used the chronosphere to teleport them to the northeast base and they just destroyed everything. Had all the iron curtains down in about 10 minutes. After that, I just got a century bomber, and air-dropped Tanya into the launch facility and she just destroyed it instantly :| Really easy mission.

Oh, and the Cryocopter plan isn't as fool-proof as it sounds. If you didnt notice, every so often, the fighters (cant remember what they're called) would fly over to the president and try to protect him. When you blow them up, the debris might fall on the car and blow it up, meaning you fail the mission. I froze him conveniently, right next to my allies base so I could build a line of AA guns to shoot down any fighters before they can potentially crash into the president.

The emperor mission with the Soviets is the most fun. Especially at the start where you just have a conscript and a bear.

I like Lost Odyssey a lot. I've noticed that a lot of reviews on the net have criticised the fact that it uses gameplay from the old Final Fantasy games, which is a fair point, but I prefer it to some of the newer ones.

For the Easter Island one, I just used the missile launchers to destroy anti air and just sent kirovs into the volcano, with helicopters acting as scouts for the missile guys.

Y'know, in Fable II, there's nothing more disturbing than buying a castle for 1,000,000 gold, fending off the bandits that invade it through an underground passage, exploring that passage while getting attacked by assbandits and dealing with two stupid puzzles, then getting rewarded with...a sex change potion.

There's just too much to do after beating the main quests.

I've collected most of the acheivements fr Mass Effect, only a few more left. One question though: I seem to only be getting one of the *race* Ally acheivement for each play through. So do I have to play through the game 6 times before I can get them all or something?

Oh, I know!

You can get two a play through. On my Insanity playthrough right now I'm trying to get the one for Wrex and Garrus. There isn't a specific way to get the achievements to unlock. Just only do things story related until you get the Normandy (That means DON'T pick up Fist's disk when you kill him.) and then only use the two you choose for EVERYTHING. Do every side quest possible. Find a list of them all. There's not a set amount for how many the achievement will unlock after so just keep doing ****, and save

That means you can do Noveria and Feros. Just make sure you do the little side things there too. Bringing Down the Sky does count for the total towards the achievement btw.

And I just got all the Notes in B-K. Now I just need to do Bottles' 7 jigsaws.

The best thing about Dead Space is that you dont know when the scares are coming. You're afraid to go around every corner in fear of getting mauled by aliens. And you're constantly being introduced to new aliens. I'd just walked out of an airlock to be grabbed my a massive alien arm and dragged along the floor. I love it.

Fun gameplay, voice-over is meh, as is the music. Graphics are pretty good for DS, though Crisis Core urinates all over them, for obvious reasons.

I finally got Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, after trawling for ages for it. I went into Game and HMV before I found one copy in Gamestation. It's like I said before, the only reason it's out in Europe first is because they've only made about 4 copies.
Initial impressions are good, nothing majorly surprising. It's just nice to have a new DS game. The last one I bought was Phantom Hourglass about a year ago. It's been a very dry spell for the DS. I've got enough games to last me for months now, so I think this will be my last one for awhile.

If you're talking about FE7, then it never gets hard, ever. It's quite possibly the easiest game in the series, even more so than FE8.

They're good yeah, but they aren't unbeatable.
Just for some lulz:

Item: Dread Plate
Attacks: Dream Eater, Dark Void, Dark Pulse, Nightmare.

Dark Void + Nightmare + Darkrai's Bad Dreams ability = Sit back and wait for opponent to die.
Throw in Dream Eater if Darkrai needs some health.

And last time I checked, Dark type moves, although not 100% effective against every type, can hit anything. Coupled with Giratina = Win.

You can totally tell which 3 types I like best. Dark, Dragon and Ghost. Just for you mental midgets.
