Under 10.
This is bad, cause I actually died quite a lot in boss fights, was stuck in a lot of places, and don't even have all power ups even though I searched for them.
Fun gameplay though. I would try to rent it. Or you can buy my copy.

It might just be because I've been playing too much of Goldeneye's awesome single player so Black Ops' pales in comparison, but whatever.

Anyhow, I don't care about that split screen multi that Goldeneye offers because I know I would rarely play it. I mostly want a good online shooter, though the single player is important as well... However, I'm leaning slightly more at Black Ops at the moment because of the better online multiplayer.

The tech is still really impressive, no game has depicted a more authentic looking and feeling world since. The story was pretty good, Niko's a deep character. There just wasn't really enough to do. That's my feeling anyway. Have you played the Episodes, though? They're all great.

I liked the city a lot but I couldn't get over the controls (for both the cars and Niko himself). Niko's character was alright. There was a lot of humorous dialog from him. I've never been particularly engaged in the story of any GTA game, though.

Yeah I agree. They'd made the world so intricate and so details and just forgot to put stuff in it. Yeah they had the 'socialising' aspect but that just dragged and felt too much like hard work.
I've played The Lost and The Damned which I really enjoyed; seeing the game from a different perspective. Yet to play Ballad of Gay Tony but I really want to; this game needs parachutes so much.

That too. Like I said before, real life cars don't understeer as much as GTA IV cars, and Niko himself handled like a cement mixer truck. I'm pretty sure most of my deaths were from being stuck to cover while a guy ambushes me at close range with a shotgun or something.

This this this this. The walking mechanic is fucking ridiculous. Hold A to jog and repeatedly tap it to run? What kind of mechanic is that? And the fact that walking in a straight line was such a chore because of the way they actually handled Niko's feet. Cars understeer made races nearly impossible and made driving anywhere that wasnt a straight road frustrating. I love the game but the controls and handling are just ridiculous.

The combat system has actually gotten worse; instead of overhauling the combat to something that's actually fun to play, they ripped off Arkham Asylum, except not as good. (sorry for using a semicolon zeyphy) You can start doing chain kills at your first kill, but you can't get hit or you'll have to start it up again. You avoid getting hit by doing counterattacks, just like Arkham Asylum. It's a disappointing design decision that doesn't cover up Assassin's Creed infamously bad combat. On the bright side, combat doesn't seem to be as much of a centerpiece when compared to ACII where it seemed like you were always forced into a fight (though you can still fight through everything if you wish) and you can also call upon the Brotherhood to fight for you (deadly effective if you recruit enough members).
Stealth is still limited. Assassin's Creed has the social espionage thing down, but proper stealth still doesn't really exist. We still can't even crouch behind objects.
There's a lot of things to do in the game at any time, though. There's Assassin's Contracts; the Brotherhood, which is your own group of Assassin's that you can send on missions for money and experience points to level up; missions for the three different factions you're allied to and other stuff I'm forgetting. There's a lot of game here.

Good girl, plz become fangirl like me.
Best series of all time. ALL TIME. How you finding it?
I'm playing Beyond Good and Evil HD myself, missed out on it in the gamecube days and heard fantastic things about it so for 800MS points I thought I'd give it a whirl. Very impressed so far, can see where the praise came from. It's light gameplay wise but the plot, especially considering its age is fantastically well structured. Very much enjoying it.

Yet I still like it. I especially like how it's got a little bit of everything to it. I dunno how to describe it, but it's like you're actually simulating yourself in the game rather than just playing it. So I plan on finishing it to the end.

That level is an utter slut. Stick behind cover, take out the advancing ones first (but time it well so you dont get hit by the armature laser. Once they're down, take out the jumpy ones as they have an insta-kill laser. Dont bother following them when they jump, just hover your reticle over one spot and wait for them to jump and use as many powers as you can on them when they land. Once they're all done, the armature is easy, you just need to time it so you avoid the laser.
