That's not what I meant. The story was slightly different. In Crystal, you chased after Suicune. In Gold and Silver, all you did was get to a point in the game where you could fight and capture either Ho-Oh or Lugia.

You obtain the three birds the same way in each game. No differences there.

Rented it, it's a good game and the time stopping features are good, but its just another post apocalyptic shooter. It'd be much better if it didn't follow the trend of dark, war torn cities, but its fun nonetheless.

I'm currently playing Gears of War. It honestly has to be one of the best games on the 360 by far, along with Tales of Vesperia. Playing online multiplayer or co-op campaign is just so much fun. Nothing beats chainsawing an enemy Locust in half either.

Well, I beat Golden Sun for the fifth or Sixth time today. I let my levels get a little higher this time than I do (30 for Isaac, 29 for everyone else), and I got all the djinn, so the final bosses were laughably easy. The only problem is that my copy of TLA is at home, so I have to wait until Friday to transfer my data and play it. T.T

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I played one song on Rock Band today.

dont even get me ****ing started on Salsa. I never use her in my party purely because of her "witty" comments at the end of battles.

And Claves is crap, her attacks are slow and she dies fast. However some of her specials later on are incredible.

By about chapter 3-4, you'll have most/all of the characters, and you should probably have a set 3 characters that you will always use. After that, theres little point in using the others because your current 3 are so much higher than them. Also it saves on money on armour and weapons, because if you dont use them, no point in upgrading their stats.

Personally, my party is Jazz, March and Viola/Frederic. Viola when I need a healer, Freddy boy when I need a combo builder.

I would replace March with Allegretto because some of his special moves are insane, but by now he's about 20 levels below that of my main party. (Main party= level 80, everybody else 60)

Polka is **** and you should never use her unless you're forced. Her attacks are weak, she dies fast and her only purpose is healing. Even her attacks later on are poor.

Falsetto is awesome when you first get her. She's great at building up combos, and has some awesome specials.

I got bored of Lost Odyssey. I had to grind loads so I could defeat the first boss on a mountain, then in the next are these weird dog things that can put my health down to 1/3 in a single battle, so I need to grind loads more again.

Mercs 2 is one of the most frustrating games I have ever played.

I mean, its so buggy and sloppy programming has let it down majorly. Your character cannot walk through bushes, if you're driving along a road and a pedestrian crosses, they wont run out the way, they will run IN to your car, no matter which way you're driving (i've tested it, this is true) and some missions are infuriatingly difficult, with almost impossible prestiges to get through.

Fun to play, but not very well made at all.

Edit: OMG This game has totally redeemed itself with the oil rig mission. Infiltrate an oil rig, capture a guy then blow up the rig. I called in an air strike on the whole thing, jumped in a chopper JUST as the Rig blew and watched the fireworks.

Getting in as much Disgaea time as I can before it's off to Younge House. It's a real intense game.

Grind haters should not come within 100 feet of this game. Not only do you need to grind alot, but you have a sort of limited choice becasue the only battles that take place are in the chapters. Except for say Item World/?(forget it's name) World, you will be fighting many battles multiple times, in most likely the exact same fashion every time.

I'm not impressed with either of my purchases so far. Far Cry has an absolutely insane difficulty; enemies are ****ing tanks who take at least 3 clips to take out and your health goes down incredibly fast, even on easy difficulty.

Fable is so much shallower and smaller than was advertised. There's what, 3 cities and a few overworld areas to explore but its tiny compared to my expectations.

So today in my journey through Rapture, I harvested my first Little Sister. What a great feeling of bliss it was. I then continued through the underwater city. I followed that moving yellow arrow, untill <_<...another Little Sister. Yay, I get to harvest another one of these ****ing brats. But wait, I now encounter a Big Daddy up close for the first time.

I have 4 bullets for my pistol..1 health pack..and 0/none/zero/zilch/nadda evo.

Would anybody care to take a guess on what happened?

You dont HAVE to kill Big Daddies. They'll only attack you if you attack first.

You obviously want the little sister, so it'd be wise to stock up on ammo and health before taking it on. Is it a Bouncer or a Rosie? (Bouncers are drills, rosies are bolt guns)

One of the biggest disappointments BioShock had for me was that for a large majority of the game, you were fighting Rosies instead of Bouncers. (who are the guys on the game's very box!)

Bouncers were way more fun to fight than Rosies.

Lightning will stun the BD for a while, when you have a chance to set him on fire and fire some rounds into the fuel tank which will rapidly drain his health.

The first little sister doesnt require you to have killed a big daddy, so i'm guessing your in the med pavillion. Have you got the shotgun yet? It's incredibly useful for dealing with big daddies if you have explosive buck for it, which is simple to find.

I picked up a copy of FarCry 2 today, simply on a whim. I'd heard good things and with Fable II being somewhat of a disappointment I needed a new game to play.

Nice selection of characters to play as. I don't think it affects anything in the game, but nevertheless I chose an ex-IRA/loan shark Irishman called Frank. The visuals stunned me as soon as the game started to roll. The landscape is beautifully crafted, so far nothing has seemed the same.

The storyline is very nice and simple too, which is good. I'm tired with all of these horribly clichèd, boring storylines that are flying around these days (I'm looking at you in particular, Fable II).

I'm not too far into the game at the moment, just finished off the tutorial sect. Currently driving around and taking in the sights, occasionally driving off of a bridge or two.

Definitely with Nos on this one here. I eagerly awaited Fable II, and I was disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it was a good game, yet unlike the first Fable it just didn't grip me. Everything was over too quickly, the quests, the storyline, starting a family, etc.

Molyneux did include everything that he promised into this game, but I just can't find the fun factor. It's not a bad game to play through, but for myself who'd been waiting for it since the first game it was a bit of a let-down.

So far I had to rank my favourite new releases, no counting Gears 2 yet, it would be something along:

Fable II just doesn't seem to have an attention grabber. It's a good game but, well, I chose to play Spiderman and Portal instead when they came out on about the same day as Fable II.

Tried the Far Cry 2 online and it is complete and utter wank. They've tried to incorporate too many of the single player aspects into it, which is unnecessary and just makes it clunky. Like as soon as you're on your last bar of health, like in game it depletes until you heal yourself. However in multiplayer its much harder to find cover so while you're pulling the bullet out, you WILL get shot no matter where you're standing. Also the whole revive system is total bollocks as well; you have 20 seconds in which you just lie there waiting for a teammate to revive you, which they never do anyway so its just another 20 seconds you could be playing.

Online is ****; wont be playing it again.

Up to chapter 3 in Dead Space (I can only nab a bit of time to play it as the Xbox is hooked up to the main TV and my parents wouldn't wanna see this game). It's still scary as all hell. They do a great job creating an atmosphere, and as much fear comes from wondering what's around the next corner as actually seeing it.
The creppiest thing so far is going to the medical bay and finding this infected nurse operating on this guy. Then she turns around, laughs at you and slits her throat with a butcher knife. Gaaah.

I'm liking Fallout less and less the more I play it.

Monsters will spawn from nowhere and its hard to tell where they're attacking from until you have almost no health left.

Weapons do **** all against enemies unless you fire at least 2-3 shots into their heads, but if theres more than 1 thats difficult because aiming without VATS is nigh impossible, and by the time you've shot them 3 times with vats, you have no AP left.

The difficulty is brutal, and not in a good way like Far Cry's. No, this game hates you. I was shooting a raider point blank in the face with an assault rifle. What does he do? He drops his missile launcher and gets an SMG out and kills me, despite the fact that I had been shooting him a long time before he shot me.

This isn't helped by the fact that health is incredibly difficult to regain. The most you can regain at one time is about 40 health, which is almost nothing when you have 300 total health and you're getting shot from behemoths from all sides all with ****ING MINIGUNS!

There are no decent long range weapons. The sniper is weak and impossible to aim, and even in VATS you get incredibly low percentages and by the time you're close enough for a good %, you've been seen and are being attacked. The hunting rifle is alright, but it has the same problem AND it's bolt action so while reloading, it could be the difference between living or dying. The lack of long range weaponary makes it extremely difficult to kill enemies in unreachable places; 2 behemoths were standing on a bridge overlooking a road. One had a missile launcher, the other had an assault rifle. I was trying to shoot them with my hunting rifle, but because they were so far away I had about an 8% chance of hitting them, even in the torso. Tried using a fatman, but that was pointless because it was launched about 4 feet infront of me.

Money is also very hard to come by to buy the ammo and health kits you will need. A lot of the time you need to go around looting raiders for armour to sell just so you can buy back the bullets you've just used killing them.

Levelling up is incredibly slow, even with increased XP perk, so even if the enemies dont level up along with you like they did in Oblivion, its going to take a hell of a lot of grinding killing those bugs to get to a level when you rape everything.

Overall the game seems very rushed and incredibly unforgiving in difficulty. It's not bad, but i'm not impressed with the final result.
