You get support conversations by putting 2 compatible characters next to each other for X amount of turns. There is a list of them on my site.

The important thing about Tactician's birthday is the month. The month that you're born gives you an element. If a unit you have matches your element, they will have growth bonus's as if you gave them Athos drops.

The Tactician's gender is the same thing as the month, the bonus's are not as much, its very little, but can be significant.

EX: My tacticians name is Steve, his element is Fire, he's a guy like me lol.
Guy is a male myrmidon. So he gets bonus for tacticians birthday and gender.

I would give the Afa's Drops to someone that doesn't get either bonus. Such as for me, I give it Lyn, who's female and is wind element.

I would also suggest that you get Eliwood to Legault as quickly as possible and recruit him. Also bring Rebecca, a Brave Bow is located in this chapter.

Talk to Legault with Eliwood, and with those two battle your way to the two treasure chests on the right side of the screen and steal the theif's member card when he comes. If Eliwood can't take on those 2 armor dudes, you're not training him right. -_-

To get Nino, You'll have to get a Lord (preferably Lyn or Eliwood) and talk to her. Then move Nino to Jaffar and make her talk to him. Then make sure that Jaffar survives, and you'll get 26x (the first time you use Jaffar)

If you leveled up your Lyn, her evade should be way more then enough to dodge Sonia's bolting. Now is also a good time to raise Eliwood the Knight Lord's Lance rating, as toward the end of the chapter, cavaliers with swords arrive.

Sometimes it comes in handy...especially bosses...but besides that my characters could handle it...
Bosses are pretty easy but give alot of experience so I let the lowest level person to finish it off...

I dunno... it doesn't look that good to me because tactics games on console are never very good. You can even see the blocks on the ground in the screenshots. Personnaly i think that they should have changed and made it an rpg. Gamecube needs more (thank you tales of symphonia) and there are already a ton of tactics games out there for gameboy.

Anyone else got any views on this matter? I am 90% sure that Marth and Roy will be in this game (heard it somewhere...) but it will most likely be better to rent, unless you have limitless cash, unlike some (cough cough *me* cough cough), and there are a ton more games coming out.

You may have not heard of it because: The other 6 FE games are Japan exclusive (where they are really popular) and B: The commercial is rarely played. What's so good about it? It can't be explained. The commercial is stupid because it says "Don't trust any one" and you recruit people from the enemy.

and also, how many Earth seals are you able to get? I have one, but I'm not sure if I should use it to promote Matthew quite yet (I don't know when I will get a Fell Contract...)

If you like hero's, get Harken. If you like swordsmasters, get Karel.

Tip for the level? Hide in the forests, the long-range magic attacks can sometimes kill people.

You can get (I think) 2 earth seals, one from that one village and one from Fargus and his pirate crew, at the second to last chapter.

Also, you can't level Matthew with the Earth Seal. He's special. He needs a fell contract. You can get one in... I think 26x, the Water Temple, after you beat Sonia there.

(too lazy to read the entire topic... som mod eh? he he) you should always keep ither Legault or Mathew a theif because they can be rescued by anyone and they move A LOT faster than assasins ^^ plus, mathew looks bad as a Assasin. ALWAYS train your lords ^^ (duh?)

Generally you want a balanced team... It's not good to have a bunch of the same types of characters. You don't want to bring your Wryverns And Pegasi to a field littered with Archers/Snipers....

GS, I prefer Karel, he's really cool... but Harken has a Brave Sword (right?). You don't need 50,000 gold to get an Ocean Seal, it is hidden in a chapter. I don't use Dart, so you can sell it for a ton of gold.

*cough* anyway. I think Erk and Serra are very possible. Well Erk is obsessed with reading, and in some supports, they say it's up to the point of obbsesion, and he won't eat or anything... I think Serra's just trying to make him more social.

For me, Matthew never did anything special. I prefer either Legault or Jaffar any day of the week. My Pegasus knights and Heath never got me far either. I rely mostly on my Magic users, caveliers, and Lyn to get me through. Then there's Chapter 27. *shudder* I have no idea if that chapter ever went through the impossibility test when they made that game. I need serious help in that chapter.

The chapter at the Shrine of Seals? Where you have to kill all the units? *shudder* I'm really scared of that chapter. I'm in the Dragons Gate of Hector Hard, and they maintain about 40 units... And in Hector normal that chapter had close to 50 units....... I'm scared....

Peg. Knights rock! Heath is Florina's equal, I'd use them both. I'm not fond of cavaliers, I prefer Mercenaries, Lord's, Peg Knights.... My strategy gets me through, though.

Yeah, that's basically it. It's in Hector's perspective, so you have more enemies, chapters, and characters. You can use TRIANGLE ATTACK now since you get the third Pegasus Knight, Farina. You also can get Karla, Karel's younger sister, and a super secret chapter.

Yeah 19xx is the super secret chapter, the boss is a level 17 DRUID named Teodor....

Farina you get in the Crazy Beast chapter, you purchase her for 20,000 gold, and she's worth every penny, being better then Florina (yes it is true!) She come's in at turn 5, and will fly to Hector quickly. The Crazy Beast is chapter 25, I think.

I think there are 7 more chaps in Hector's Story.
Karla you get in Chapter 31x, she is standing in the arena. To get her, you must bring Bartre, and talk to her with him. THEY BOTH MUST SURVIVE ONE TURN OF COMBAT. IF BARTRE IS AT A HIGH LEVEL THEN EQUIP HIM WITH A BOW SO HE DOESN'T KILL HER. The minimum it'll take to tie them is to have Bartre 10/6 and equip him with a Swordreaver.

Er... it's kind of hard to explain... Well it is done by points. Let's take Eliwood and Ninian. They start with 81 points (I think). Then, each turn they stand next to each other, they gain 2 points. Once they get about 130 points, they will have a support conversation. The starting points between characters are different depending on who they are. Like, Hector and Florina start with 5 points, etc.

I have some suggestions. . . If you are going to use Erk, use Nino instead, she is better then him. Serra is better then Lucius, she has a max res of 30. . . but in those two cases, I just like Serra better. Heath is the Wryvern version of Florina really. . . and even though I don't like axe user's, if I needed to then I'd use Bartre. That's just me though.

Actually you are all wrong. . .You are right Zaffa, Link the Hero is way off. He was giving spoilers about Fire Emblem: Sealed Sword, which is FE6. FE8 is about a mercenary named Ike, who is on a journey for a yet undisclosed reason. I can garentee that FE8 will have nothing to do with FE7 and 6.

Eliwood has only appeared as an NPC in FE6 and a main Lord in FE7. Roy has appeared in Melee, FE6 and 7.

CG scenes are the anime scenes, like when Lyn gets her Mani Katti.

Serra or Priscilla? Both. Priscilla has high Magic, Skill and Luck, and Serra has high luck, and crazy Res. Priscilla's use of Anima magic is slightly better then Erk, but not as good as Nino.

I can't get past Victory or Death in Eliwood's Hard Mode. Sure, I only played it 3 times, but I lose spirit in playing Fire Emblem when I see someone die in that particular chapter. =(

Anyways, Paladins roxx0rz! And Matthew is better than Legault, Legault is a little too weak.

You should Legault in Hector's Hard Mode, his stats are sickingly high because he is an enemy. That and he's the cooles looking Assasin.

How can you like Paladins? They seem like a good idea at the time, but 20/20 Kent and 20/20 Sain ultimately lose to 20/20 Raven and 20/20 Guy.

Paladins are all right. . . look at Isadora, she's faster then Kent and she's prepromoted.

Paladins? I find them useful... Kent is always a part of my team... They can use Axes, Spears, and Swords! Plus, they have great movement range...

As for stats, they are well-rounded... Kent has greater defense than Sain, who has greater strength (I believe), and Lowen's more of a tank than both...

Isadora is faster than Kent? Hmm...

Nino is great, yes... But Erk and Pent (even though the latter is already promoted when you receive him) are also great... I always have at least two Anima users in my team ;)

It's funny... I find Serra to be a better unit than Lucuis... as Bishops... but only slightly...

Together we ride and the opening theme. It was really dissapointing that together we ride wasnt really in the game at all. I think that it sounds better in the game boy version than in super smash bros melee. well, only because its a change of pace i guess.

I don't really use Matthew (did I say that already?) Serra is a great all around unit, and she is a resistance monster 20/20. . . . I don't really like Pent stats wise, I don't mind using Erk though.

I think you did mention it, yes. I just prefer Matthew because I like his personality...
I prefer using Serra to Lucuis, and defintely over Renault (who, excuse me for saying it, is really rather... bad...)

Which Falkoknight do you prefer using the most? I try to balance all three, but since Florina appears much earlier in the game, she may have the advantage there...

Plus, any tips on supports? Those that take an insane amount of time (Matthew/Serra)? *sighs* it's taking so long...

For FalcoKngihts? I prefer Farina. She has slighty above average speed and skill (Florina's specialty) and very high Strength and Defense for a FalcoKnight.

For Supports, if you are leveling someone up in the arena, that is the best time, because you will probably take a lot of turns (if you're like me)

Usually, what I try to do is to have them next to each other in chapters that don't have a limit on turns (siezing the throne, defeating the boss, etc.)...

I only have Matthew and Serra to level C *sighs* this is going to take a while...

Yes, once you surround the opponent on three sides, the third will receive a critical (if they have a Brave Lance, then they may attack FOUR TIMES with Critical hits :silence: )

Also, Raven is unbelievable as a Hero... Mine is ruthless, and at a level 14 Hero, he has maxed out Strength, Skill, and Speed (the three S's :silence: )

You gain supports by setting 2 compatible characters next to each other. However, pick wisely, for you only have a limited number of supports per character.

Ive only gotten to chapter 25 so I cant really said what my favorite is, but Togther We Ride is my favorite so far. Then Eliwoods Theme Song. Stupid Sonia kept on killing me..... so I restarted the game trying to get better.

Pent isn't too bad, especially for a character that comes already promoted. If you didn't use Erk, then he is the perfect candidate... at least until Nino comes in.
But I always level up all three of them. And of course, Serra is the best monk/bishop in my opinion...

Serra owns all. . . She can fight Nino and live, which makes her good. Her res maxes out a lot.

Sry to interupt, but i need serois help. I keep having a problem on CH22. I want to get all the items lying around, but stupid Pent kills to many guys way to fast for me to have time to get the items in the sand. I try to get Florina to him by the second turn and rescueing him, but he keeps moving. Also there is a side quest I heard about and I want to now the requrments for it.

My party has changed a little:

Well to unlock Chaper 22x :-

You need to get a total of 700 EXP, also let Eliwood talk to Hawkeye.
So that means you must not allow Pent to kill more than you.

A.) Those numbers represent : what level was the character promoted/current level (or something of the sort)...

B.) Marcus... ok. First of all, early on in the game, he hogs Exp like crazy. Your other characters will be severely underleveled if you use him regularly. Later in, when you should have promoted units, Marcus may seem decent then... but his stats will amount to... excuse me for saying, but for nothing. I mean, Nino as a Level 5 Sage has greater speed than him at the beginning! There's nothing he can do that Kent, Sain, Lowen, or even Isadora can't do.

C.) Supports differ with the pairing, simple as that. But all require a set number of turns for it to activate. Sorry, can't explain it too well now...

No. You also probably can't support because you reached the maximum ammount. Each character can only have so many support conversations with another character. For example, this is not true, but let's just say Eliwood can have 2 support conversations. That means that after 2 support conversations, you can't have him talk to anyone else, including the person he talked to before.

I don't think the storyline is all that strong, although it is satisfying for classic RPGs (big bad guy takes control of big organization and conquers or destroys world), it's a little cliche.
