Well, I've never truly used Lowen (except, like you said, in the early parts of the game. But I wouldn’t say he’s bad… and how does he take up experience? Pair him up with Sain (who’s got awesome strength) and you’ve got yourself a nice Paladin Duo thingie…

Just a question… but what supports do you need for all CG scenes in the game?

Okay, I'm currently playing Hector Hard... and this time around, I am considering replacing Oswin. For now, with Lowen, and later on, with Farina. So, am I crazy, or should I consider it?

And is having both Guy and Raven in your team really a bad thing? Just curious...

Guy and Raven make a great combonation in Hector Hard. They are both enemies, so they both come with updated stats. Replacing Oswin = good idea. I would use Sain rather then Lowen though, and keep him, then have Farina there to, so you can have more hit and run.

Marth is dead. Marth isn't the child of Lyn either, he's in a whole other place. Put it like this.

Mathew is the best in my opinion...Speed is awsome and attack becomes awsome once turned into an assassin...Keep Legault as a theif to open doors and chests...and Jaffar is awsome if you don't have a leveled up Mathew...

Matthew is only good at the beggining, his stats are to random for me (RNG hates me >_>) but Legault comes in with good stats already. I usually promote Legault and keep Matthew as a Thief.

i dunno.... fire emblem was good... but not great.... it didn't have enough plot nor enough options... in GS for example.... u can choose how to fight, wat u want to use, but in FE u can only choose wat weapon... to me... it just didn't allow for enough options.... u also couldn't change where u wanted to go, as in if u wanted to go back to the previous town/place and find an armory and purchase some items there, stuff like that.....

Err, I have a question. I am playing Hector Hard Mode... when ever I'm in a chapter with Kishuna (so far, 19x and now, Genesis 23x), sometimes, he disappears even if I don't attack him in anyway... why does that happen?...

It seems that you are taking to many turns to reach him. I think he stays until turn 12 in 19x, and turn 5 in Genesis.

More news for the GSS project! The official name for the game is Golden Emblem! The theme is the Fire Emblem theme. Enemy music will differ depending where you are. When you are on Fire Emblem countries (example- Sacaen Plains Island), you will hear Fire Emblem battle music play. When you are on Golden Sun related countries (example - Golden Sun Syndicate) You will hear Golden Sun battle music play.

3 for one of each lord...The first 2 ones are for Lyn and Hector one the other one you get automatically from Athos...

It's fine if you missed Lucius, it's not like you need him. Use Serra instead. Light magic isn't THAT important. . . you should use Nino, she should cover well as well.

The most wonderful thing happened!

I reached the battle with Lundgren, and Wallace kicked the crap outta' him. After he had just 3 HP left, I sent in Lyn (lv. 8) with an Armorslayer to deal the final blow ang gain all the EXP.

But guess what?

Lundgren avoided the attack and killed Lyn!

Isn't that spectacular?!

Now I have to do the whole friggin' chapter again! :mellow:

I only ever used wallace in lyn's story to weaken eagler and lundgren and have lyn finish them off when the were weak but I used mani katti on eagler and lundgren but on both she scored a critical hit and leveled up on both. now that's weird

The first FE, featuring Prince Mars (Marth). Very nice game. Plot is OK to, and is also the 1st SRPG made (though some don't agree, this is the general opinion). And of course, Marth starts the tradition of bad main characters. . . .

Sigurd is actually good for once, and Celice is even better then his father. This game also has the largest maps in FE history (You should see The Door Of Destiny Chapter, absolutely MASSIVE). Best FE in the series.

Good game, bad timing. One of the last SNES games released (1999). A side story to FE4, which takes place between chapter 4 and 5. You play as Leaf, trying to regain back the country of Lenster. Lots of cameos from FE4 (Sety!!!!, Altenna, Shanan). I think this is the only game with 2 Jeigans (Evayal and that other guy). HARDEST FE. You may think it's easy at the beginning, but once you get to a chase level. . . without good tactics you will lose many charaters. You can capture your enemys and take their weapons now, and this game introduces the Fog of War. Lots of personal weapons (like Leaf's Hikari no Tsurugi). Very solid game overall.

Yay! Roy! This is the first FE game with multiplayer. It's a solid game all around, and finally got rid of that blue-haired tradition. Also, Roy gets a little bit of everything with his legendary weapon. He has healing, Fire, and just a great weapon in general in the form of the Sword of Seals. Very nice, not much to say though.

The first FE, featuring Prince Mars (Marth). Very nice game. Plot is OK to, and is also the 1st SRPG made (though some don't agree, this is the general opinion). And of course, Marth starts the tradition of bad main characters. . . .

FE7 is easy...Hard mode pleased me though
FE4 harder than FE7 but I didn't like the characters...Its a great game overall though...and BLL is right...The maps are crazy!!!!!!!!!

In other random Fire Emblemy stuff, I just now checked out my brother's file, and his Lucuis has FOUR maxed out stats- Magic, Skill, Speed, and Resistance, at 25, 24, 26, and 30, respectively- and he (yes, he is a "he" folks!) is only a level 10 Bishop!

It's a shame his stats don't max out higher, though... certainly not bad in any way, but... his defense at six could also cause a few problems =/

Nothing to important. If you gain a total of 700XP, you can go to 22x. I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are REALLY confident though.

Forte, I’d recommend also getting a Light Brand (very nice sword indeed)… and an item for Ninian/Nils… not Set Litanny, but something else… starts with an “F”… I forgot, sorry… but try searching around both sets of bones, and if you deployed a thief (namely Matthew and/or Legault), they will have a 1000% chance of getting the item should you land on the space that contains it…

and the secret chapter? That’s with Kishuna, the Magic Seal, right? Well, it is a difficult sidequest, but yes, as BLL, be sure you are ready for it if you want it…

But challenges are fun =D

19xx was simple for me, I just had problems with 22x because everyone had low res, the only Pegasus Knight I use is Farina, the only mage I use is Nino. Priscilla and Serra had incredible res, everyone else's weren't above 10, and there was a large amount of promoted units. . .

And I know you'd have trouble in an escape chapter of FE5.

Not true actually...I played in practice vs. My old file: A regular Kight Lord Lv 20 vs my recent file: Hector: lv 20 max defence and attack and speed and Eliwood still won...But that was AXE vs Sword...If it was lance vs axe hector would obviously win...

Well, I'm almost back to where I left off in my new file. I'm on Ch 25 again (I got the magic ring that GL spoke of, and I finished Kishuna's side quest on the way); the first 5 five turns are difficult, though, because the Bishop and Mage continue to attack Matthew with Bolting and Purge (I gave him some Vulneraries and Elixirs so he'd survive...).

Oh, what are the requirements I need to meet Karel or Harken? What's the difference? I know there are special requirements that influence which character joins your team, but I don't know what they are.

You are on Kenneth’s map, right?

On Kenneth’s map, I think it has to do with defeating promoted units. On Jerme’s map, it has to do with opening doors…

You probably are on the former, but basically, for Harken Stay Put until turn Nine- Kill no more than one promoted unit. For Karel, on both maps, you need to be a bit more active- on Kenneth’s map, defeat more than one promoted unit, and on Jerme’s map, you must open a certain number of doors… which I don’t know exactly, since I usually always get Harken… sorry…

But, here is how Harken and Karel compare:

Harken- A Hero, comes as an enemy unit with a Brave Sword, talk with Eliwood, Isadora, Hector, Lyn, or Marcus (like anybody uses him =/)- Raven is only slightly better, and that’s already a matter of preference… but if you didn’t use Raven, then he is an excellent unit.

Karel- Swordmaster, comes as NPC with the very nice Wo Dao sword, usable by only Guy, Lyn, Karel, and Karla (whom you need not worry about unless you are playing Hector’s mode). Like Harken, a very good prepromoted unit, though I simply prefer Guy.

Building Your Party:
Of course, all of the above would be quite useless if you have an incompetent team. That's why your decision in who to train and who to not train is very important.

One of the most important qualities of a good team is variety. You can't have a team with all swordsmen, or all mages, and definitely with all fighters and no healers. You have to have a different array of units, from clerics or troubadours to Swordmasters or heroes.

Another important quality is that you need to limit your team. I usually limit mine to about 10 or so character. You can't have 30 or so characters because you won't have time to level them all, and in the end, you will just have a bunch of useless ragamuffins. However, if you have a few of units who leveled up to 20, promoted, and then leveled up to 20 again (or 20/20), then they would do a lot better. A perfect example is the Black Fang, your enemy. You win over them because they have a lot of incompetent units, whereas you have a few units who defend for themselves.

Speaking of leveling, here's some good advice: level your lords. They will be the most powerful units in the game, and if you level the minor characters and leave the lords in the corner, you will suffer later. Now, people tend to leave Eliwood alone because he sucks in the beginning and use Marcus because he's almighty, but that's wrong. Units who are weak at first tend to be excellent later on, so, in the end, Eliwood will rule and Marcus will... drool? Whatever, you know what I mean. Don't just level Eliwood either, level Lyn and Hector also.

Since we are on the talk about Marcus and his prepromoted stature, let's get on the topic about prepromoted units, such as Karel or Harken. They will suck later on. Their counterparts, who started out in starting classes, are better than them. It would be best to build your team early, because, for one thing, they are all prepromoted, and for another, you get to level them more, instead of switching them around and not leveling much.

About Wallace:
Righto, about your second question, in normal mode, Wallace is behind Marcus not by far, but in Hard Mode he is fairly well since you don't *must* promote him in Chapter 9.

Usually my Eliwoods end up being crappy. Lyn usually ends up maxing up some stats as for Hector same thing.

Forte, this is the best time for Canas, since Dark magic beats Anima magic, make sure you have someone really fast infront so the person can easily dodge her Bolting spell, since Bolting don't have the best accuracy.

First of all Forte put the strongest peole you got and include Nino(good for her training) now then have someone who is fast and strong like Sain or Kent take the head of the unit and have him take care of the enemies above your group. while you make your way to Sonia try to stay out of her firing range and then when you've cleared the area of enemies execpt Sonia have your strongest and most reistant attack her also if posable have Hector whale on her if his attack can hit and his resitance is good enough, and make sure your lords give each other power by support. good luck!

Heavyblade, sorry but you're strategy with Kent/Sain don't quite make it, I recommend a Sniper/Nomad doing the work since up by Sonia there's a heap of Wyvern Riders/Lords.

Actually, I don't even recommend brining Sain/Kent there, I say bring two Bow users and if you promoted Lyn perfect choice.

Anyways, in that Chapter bring alot of flyers and people who can walk over water so yeah. Also a thief ^_~

oh....sorry wrong battle! the one I'm talking about is when you get Jaffar. I'm stupid :P okay now for that battle have axe users that are fast and strong take the lowest path, Sain and Kent if properly leveled up can go too bring a nomad if you want down there too. for the middle bring Eliwood, and have some sword and lance users go through there with Merlius(if he is promoted) for the top bring an archer, Lyn, Hector, some magic users (bring some throught the middle too) and also a person who can wield lance if you feel you need it.

I played through the level and found out that using Jaffar to fight Sonia yields success. Since he moves so quickly, he was able to reach her before she ran out of Boltings (she still had it equipped, making her utterly defenseless), plus, his 1-Hit-Kill strike was invaluble.

But, unfortunatly, I couldn't get the treasure since Matthew died; I also lost Raven and Hawkeye...so I'm restarting the chapter again. I'm not going to take all 14 units: too many targets.

Forte you need to have hawkeye take the lower path and escorted by a flying unit with high resist to take out the sage and mage below the starting point. Sain or Kent who is strong and fast enough to take the head so they can kill/weaken the enemies above and then have range attacks give support if you have Bolt have Pent use it until there is one left and uuse the stave that repairs weapons on it so he can use it again. have fast people here and those who can take several hits and live on this mission. as for Matthew don't make him fight or anything until all enemies are died.

Forte, another note. If you are still on that chapter, if you plan to use Nino (which is a GREAT idea) you should get her to about 14 or 15.

To deal with Sonia and her Bolting, if your Lyn is promoted (from level 20) leave her in Sonia's Bolting range, she should dodge easily. Rebecca or Florina will work as well.

Maturity makes your person's growth rate 10% up for all stats.

also I know Farina is better if used and leveled up Usesaly my Sain is able to pull off several criticals on enemies even when they have the weapon advantage.

Lucuis has a higher chance of getting max resistance and high attack but weak physical def.

I just like serra as a healer.

But Sain's defense is horrid. . . Farina only has 1 point less strength then Sain, and it maxes all the time (unless your's is odd 0_o)
All I needed to do was give Farina a Delphi Shield at 20/20 and she was set.

Yes you should, a member card allows you to access Secret shops, they sell items just as Elixers, Physic and some strong weapons (Killer Axe etc.)

You find the first two secret shops in Chapter 19 BTW.

yeah but what happened to me against the fire dragon is athos died and becuase i HATE eliwood becuase hes weaker compared to swordmasters but since he has durandal which is legendary he missed first time and got hit but second time he hit and killed fire dragon

I had to use athos and use aerola a couple times on the dragon.(more like 10) my eliwood wouldnt even scratch the dragon because he was at level 6 when he transformed -_- :lol:

Eliwood is great...Period. All of his stats are average in which I like and he has no weaknesses or strength. I'm tired of all the bad mouthing. If you train him at the beginning of his chapter, he should reach level 20 quite quickly. Then use him to protect Merlinus at the later chapters until he becomes a Knight Lord with Athos's hevean seal. He shall be a worth comrade after that.
