A few things disappointed me with brawl, but its all level related.
I dont like how they didnt bring back Foutain of Dreams, and instead failure maps like big blue.
Also not alot of great maps in my opinion, alot of OK levels, but only like 2 that highly impress me.

But because this form of communication is greatly affected by the distance between you and your opponent, your brawls may not run smoothly if you’re really far apart—like, for instance, if you’re connecting between Japan and America.
Japan and North America are both NTSC, whereas Europe and Australia are both PAL. I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but I'm just being wary. Obviously I have many different tournament scenarios and set-ups to consider depending on whether or not this is the case, as well as a secret project in the making.

Marth and Fox are faster. Marth has his side B blade dance thingy (which is REALLY fast if you time it right), and Fox has a lot of good launching moves. Ike and Link are a bit slow. Ike has a lot of powerful launching moves that can easily send someone flying and do some real damage to boot, while Link's bombs, boomerang, and down A arial can rack up a lot of damage, and make an easy KO. Dedede can easily KO people with a number of moves, if not at least deal a crapload of damage. In a double damage match, an uncharged side smash is pretty much a garunteed KO on average sized stages or smaller. Charging his down B wile falling proves to be pretty effective in party Brawls.
Samus has a good FS, and the missles, bombs, and grabs can deal some damage. She's to slow for what her attacks offer though imo. Zamus doesn't have enough launching/finishing moves either.

Haven't you read all my posts about why I'm using a GC controller and not a Nunchuck?
My point stands. On any control scheme (I can't say for the classic controller since I don;t have one, but stll....), the controls just seem a little unfluid at times. Moreso with ground attacks than arials, but you have to land sometimes, and even though this game does rely more on arials than melee, you're still using standard smashes/specials about half the time.
But with Ike, you can only really land hits on people if you use arials, aside from his running A side attack, and his side & up B attacks. His standard smashes take way to long to execute. He's still faster than Dedede or Bowser though.

Ike can land plenty of hits aside from his aerials. You mentioned his A dash attack, Quick Draw, and Aether, but you failed to mention his AAA combo and his tilts. Heck, even Ike's DSmash isn't really that slow. This is the reason why it's going to be so easy to play mindgames with Ike...most people expect him to be really slow just because of his smashes. They'll think "Oh, he's really slow! This will be easy", then get a face full of BAir. :3
Also, it requires timing and spacing to land smashes. I don't know why some people think that Ike is an easy-to-use character that you can just pick up and play because he requires a lot more practice. :|

Yeah, I use the B air a lot when I use him. It works wonders when timed right. :(
I don't use standard A attacks very often. I left a few things out to keep my post from being even longer than it was, but his down smash is the only smash that I'm ever able to use without preperation.

Whatever you do, don't use his down A smash, and only use the down A arial if you know it will connect. Both will leave him vulnerable for too long to be comfortable. His dancing blade move is lightning fast now though. Also, unlike Ike, it's pretty hard to hit with his special if you're charging it in the air in aticipation of attacking somebody.

I'd agree with that, they didn't do anything wrong with the gameplay per se but there's a few things that were presented wrong.
For one thing, Smash Bros. characters simply aren't meant for a platforming game. Mid air-control is fairly limited when compared to Super Mario Bros. for example and plus recovery moves, it's just not quite right. Stages and enemies are boring and repetitive.
The only redeeming thing here are the cinematics and unlocking things fast. All in all, I'd rather unlock everything the "normal" way.
Subspace Emissary would probably have worked better as a standalone game with it's own rules, rather than Smash Bros. rules if you get what I mean.

It's a kind of Super Wavedash that someone recently found in the game. What you do is run and perform your dash attack and, during the very first few frames of the dash attack, you cancel it into the character's Up Smash, which allows the momentum to carry the character a good amount of distance forward. You need to cancel into the Up Smash very quickly, though, as you'll only be able to do it during the very first 1-4 frames of the attack.
I knew Brawl would turn out something like this. People never gave it a chance. BTW, I didn't discover this, but I thought you guys would be interested.

I'm so glad! I'm tired of hearing people bash Brawl for being "simpler" and "less competitive" than Melee. All it takes is time for the game's true potential to be fleshed out, and it starts with patience, which leads to discoveries like this.

Also, I experimented with the wavedash, and since the momentum of the slide depends on the distance the dash attack has, only a select few characters can travel large distances, which includes Snake and Sheik. Most characters only travel the amount that you could expect Wavedashing to carry you in Melee. Holy crap, though, Snake can sure gain some movement. ._.

Anyway, I've been working on a technique with Marth. Run, short hop, down smash, and then a number of moves after that. Usually counter if it's a party brawl.
It works really well as a first strike move. I've landed it every time so far without being hit until after I land.

Basically it was Ganon at the bottom of the stage running up and down some stairs to reach the top where the other 3 players were (who weren't doing anything) in a custom stage on Stamina with one of those vitality-draining flowers attached. He reached the top and almost made it to the end but then the flower dropped everyone's stamina to 0 and the game ended.
Yeah, you had to see it. =P

I think that if I was playing melee that I could beat a lot of them and judging by some peoples brawl skills here there should be others here that could to. *looks at blue*

I'll play you tomorrow. You seem to sound like one of the better players on the board. No offense to anyone.

Unlocked all Stages, and all characters.
Working towards Isaac AT, and GS music, as well as finishing all events.
Has anyone added my code?? All I see are blue boxes with 'awaiting registration'
