First just let me say it is sweet to get to post the 1800th reply in this topic. Then let me say that I did it with a sweet Kanye West song. Jamie Foxx is great too, he really does Ray Charles great.

Awesome industrial song <3 The lyrics are the best part. They're all..directly subliminal :B:
"
All we want is a headrush
All we want is to get out of our skin for a while
We have nothing to lose because we don't have anything
Anything we want anyway...
We used to hate people
Now we just make fun of them
It's more effective that way
We don't live
We just scratch on day to day
With nothing but matchbooks and sarcasm in our pockets
And all we are waiting for is for something worth waiting for
Let's admit America gets the celebrities we deserve
Let's stop saying "Don't quote me" because if no one quotes you
You probably haven't said a thing worth saying
We need something to kill the pain of all that nothing inside
We all just want to die a little bit
We fear that pop-culture is the only culture we're ever going to have
We want to stop reading magazines
Stop watching T.V.
Stop caring about Hollywood
But we're addicted to the things we hate
We don't run Washington and no one really does
Ask not what you can do for your country
Ask what your country did to you
The only reason you're still alive is because someone
Has decided to let you live
We owe so much money we're not broke we're broken
We're so poor we can't even pay attention
So what do you want?
You want to be famous and rich and happy
But you're terrified you have nothing to offer this world
Nothing to say and no way to say it
But you can say it in three languages
You are more than the sum of what you consume
Desire is not an occupation
You are ultimately thrilled and desperate
Skyhigh and ****ed
Let's stop praying for someone to save us and start saving ourselves
Let's stop this and start over
Let's go out - let's keep going
This is your life - this is your ****ing life
We need something to kill the pain of all that nothing inside
Quit whining you haven't done anything wrong because frankly
You haven't done much of anything
Someone's writing down your mistakes
Someone's documenting your downfall"

All the Right Reasons
Next Contestant
8.9/10
My Favourite song for the album, reflects how horny some guys can be.
I judge by what she’s wearing
Just how many heads I’m tearing
Off of assholes coming on to her
Each night seems like it’s getting worse
And I wish she’d take the night off
So I don’t have to fight off
Every asshole coming on to her
It happens every night she works
They’ll go and ask the DJ
Find out just what would she say
If they all tried coming on to her
Don’t they know it’s never going to work
They think they’ll get inside her
With every drink they buy her
As they all try coming on to her
This time somebody’s getting hurt
Here comes the next contestant
Is that your hand on my girlfriend?
Is that your hand?
I wish you’d do it again
I’ll watch you leave here limping
I wish you’d do it again
I’ll watch you leave here limping
There goes the next contestant
I even fear the ladies
They’re cool but twice as crazy
Just as bad for coming on to her
Don’t they know it’s never going to work
Each time she bats an eyelash
Somebody’s grabbing her ass
Everyone is coming on to her
This time somebody’s getting hurt
Here comes the next contestant
Is that your hand on my girlfriend?
Is that your hand?
I wish you’d do it again
I’ll watch you leave here limping
I wish you’d do it again
I’ll watch you leave here limping
There goes the next contestant
I’m hating what she’s wearing
Everybody here keeps staring
Can’t wait ‘til they get what they deserve
This somebody’s getting hurt
Here comes the next contestant
Is that your hand on my girlfriend?
Is that your hand?
I wish you’d do it again
I’ll watch you leave here limping
I wish you’d do it again
I’ll watch you leave here limping
I wish you’d do it again
Each night seems like it’s getting worse
I wish you’d do it again
This somebody’s getting hurt
There goes the next contestant

They're from their new album, 'Lichtgestalt', they're the two best ones upto now. The others just weren't as convincing or stylish like those in 'Elodia'.
I still prefer 'Elodia' o.o.

Her ecstasy means so much to me
Even deceiving my own blood
Victoria watches and thoughtfully smiles
She's taking me to my home
Help - he's my brother
But I love her
I can't keep away from her touch
Deception
Dishonor
It's calling me back to my home

Sweetness
OMG I love this song. Tune is so catchy. And words are so easy to memorize. And it's like a "I don't give a rat's a** about you, it's all about MEEEE!!!!!!" song =)
Lyrics!!!
If you're listening
Sing it back
String from your tether unwinds
Up and outward
(But only)
To bind
I was spinning free
With a little sweet
And simple numbing me
Are you listening?
Sing it back
So tell me what do I need
When the words
Lose their meaning
I was spinning free
With a little sweet
And simple numbing me
Yeah, stumble until you crawl
Sinking into sweet uncertainty
If you're listening
Are you listening?
Sing it back
I'm still running away
I won't play your
Hide and seek game
I was spinning free
With a little sweet
And simple numbing me
What a dizzy dance
This sweetness will not
Be concerned with me
No the sweetness will not
Be concerned with

I think this has become my most listened to song on last.fm :B;
Lyrics are yay too:
I declare war on the world
War in outer space
I declare war in a nutshell
War all over the place
I declare war on every government
War against all odds
I declare war on your inner sanctum
On your blood thirsty gods
I declare war on the axis of morons
All out war on complacent consent
I declare war on the war against drugs
Rape and Slaughter of the innocent
War on big brother
Warmongers and profiteers
War on your dogma dubya
Armageddon's engineers
War in a heartbeat
I declare war on so-called civilization
World trade globalization
Organized desinformation
War on ambassadors of pretense
War on MTV and CNN
Macdonald's walt disney and bethlehem
On christina britney and eminem
I declare war on the world of anti-choice
On violent unilaterality
On the amassment of murderous high-tech toys
And all crimes against humanity
War on the moral majority
On corparate.com imperialism
On mindlessly bumbling stupidity
And police-state terrorism
Worldwar three - be all that you can be

I know, I know, and normally, a song like this would be too mainstream for my tastes, but I actually do like it. Not my favourite Evanescence song, but awesome none the less.
If I were to completely ignore the hype that surrounded Evanescence with the release of this song and the posers who rambled about how much they loved them just because they were popular (and I've met more than a few of them), I would give it...

Chinese band - bit of a one off cos the chinese are going through the pop phase that was sweeping the west a few years ago (and that will return shortly no doubt). This song isnt pop, more like classical rock. Really good although i have no clue what its about XD

Love this band, love this song, want the album ('Slaughter of the Soul'). Awesome solo ;)
To rid the earth of the filth
To rid the earth of the lies
The will to rise above
Tearing my inside out
I feel my soul go cold
Only the dead are smiling
To rid your heart of all lies
Their poison tongues, poison hearts
Burning cold...
Now let the final darkness fall
I feel my soul go cold
Only the dead are smiling
'...The dream of the new disease
On wings of euphoria...
Sucking terror from the needle scars...'
22 years of pain
And I can feel it closing in
The will to rise above
Tearing my insides out
I feel my soul go cold
Only the dead are smiling

One of the best songs I've heard by Rasputina :3 It has amusing lyrics too.
We found an old doll that was out in the grass,
She had special powers, we said a Black Mass.
We sat in a circle all holding hands. The
Doll-bed held together with old rubberbands.
She'll rise,
she'll rise,
she'll rise...
Oh, Lay her down in her gingerbread coffin.
She's so pretty all layed out in white.
Lay her down in her gingerbread coffin.
When we need her, she'll rise to the light...
We looked down at the ground and into her eyes.
Passed around an old teacup filled up with dead flies.
Surprise, surprise!
Were brought but not used, a collection of knives.
We'd remember this moment for all of our lives.
She'll rise,
she'll rise,
she'll rise....

Heaven Shall Burn - The Weapon they Fear
Words - these words of freedom
A bequest - never to be silenced
In this world of lies, the truth, it means resistance
To make the masses see and sense their needs
He healed so many aching hearts and wounds
And threw back the baseness - back to where it came from
Aspired from the middle of his brothers
Charged this suffering and oppression
One single voice became a storm
His words and melodies - the weapon they fear
Threw back the baseness - back from where it came
Nobody is chosen to suffer
Nobody is destined to rule
Gagged his mouth but not his songs, the songs we sing
Fettered his hands but not the words he wrote
These songs we'll sing!
Pretty good song from 'Antigone'.

Just downloaded a few (12) more Norther songs, which I think completes all 3 album. Just a few off their EP Solution 7 and an Offspring cover and I'll have all of 'em :D . So as you can tell from that, this is a ****ing sick band that gets better with every song I hear by them. Great song off 'Khronos 666'. Love the lyrics especially.
After one of my thousand lies, you shall all die
Three thousand years
Waiting to be born
In my mother's womb
Searching for a soul
Silence, a gift of speech
Blindness, eternal vision
Time a trusted friend
God, my son to be born
My eyes have seen / spectacular darkness
My ears have heard / incredible silence
My mind has thought / remarkable nothingness
My truth lies in nothingness... nothingness
Trust me, I shall stab you in your back
See me, I have died in the past
Hear me, I scream my silent thoughts
I am the liar
After six thousand years I shall be born
In my mother's womb searching for a soul
Silence a gift of speech blindness eternal vision
Time a trusted friend God my son to be born
Three thousand years
Waiting to be born
In my mother's womb
Searching for a soul
Silence, a gift of speech
Blindness, eternal vision
Time a trusted friend
God, my son to be born
Trust me, I shall stab you in your back
See me, I have died in the past

Every time I go to JB I end up buying 4 albums, I can't help it. Anywho, I bought this along with Character by Dark Tranquillity (they finally had it!), rEVOLVEr by The Haunted and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance. This should keep me going all night :silence: . This is a great album, not as good as Ashes of the Wake, but great none the less.

My friend made me research "fall out boy" and I didn't like what I heard. but I saw on music.aol a related group was one called amber pacific. the first and only song I heard made me fall in love with the group.
but more comments on the song! I love the intro, a tinsy bit cliche in the tune, but more or less the lyrics have so much meaning. well, they do to me.

While Breakfast in America (album) was commercially Supertramp's best success, Crime of the Century (album) is easily their best musically speaking. Every single song is well done, and half of the songs are phenomenal. Check out the album if I've gotten you interested.

Such a good song if you feel useless and retarted and you just feel like dying. It's a lazy song.

I can see how someone would tire of a song when it's that long. Not me, though. Not when it's done right. If it's the same thing the whole way through or if it just gets so different that it doesn't even feel like it's the same song anymore, I get very tired of it very quickly, but when it's divided into different movements, each with a familiar but distinctly different sound, I can't get enough of it. Dream Theater are experts at this. Octavarium, for instance, has five movements. A Change of Seasons has seven, which may seem like a bit much but three are instrumental. They kind of tell mini-stories. Anyway, enough of that.
Static-X - ...In a Bag (Machine)
Such an awesome song, one of the only songs if not the only one from Machine I could never get tired of.

Political statement songs are the best around =]
There's somethin' happenin' here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun, over there
Tellin' me I got to beware
(I think it's time we)
Stop, children, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?
There's battle lines bein' drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speakin' their minds
Gettin' so much resistance from behind
(It's time we)
Stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?
What a field day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singin' songs and carryin' signs
Mostly sayin', "hooray for our side"
(It's time we)
Stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, the man come and take you away
(We better)
Stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?
(We better)
Stop, hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?
(We better)
Stop, now, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?
(We better)
Stop, children, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's goin' down?

Band: Pink Floyd
Song: Comfortably Numb
Album: The Wall
Lyrics:
Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Come on, now,
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again.
Relax.
I'll need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying.
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain you would not understand
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
Okay.
Just a little pinprick.
There'll be no more aaaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good.
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying.
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

Song: The Gnome
Artist: Pink Floyd
Album: Piper at the Gates of Dawn
I want to tell you a story
'bout a little man if I can.
A gnome named Grimble Gromble.
And little gnomes stay in their homes,
eating, sleeping, drinking their wine.
He wore a scarlet tunic,
a blue-green hood, it looked quite good.
He had a big adventure
amidst the grass, fresh air at last.
Wining, dining, biding his time...
And then one day...
Hooray!
Another way for gnomes to say
"Ooh my..."
Look at the sky, look at the river.
Isn't it good?
Look at the sky, look at the river.
Isn't it good?
Winding, finding places to go.
And then one day
Hooray!
Another way for gnomes to say
"Ooh my"
"Ooh my..."

murder the art of the insane
a breed if terror born to destroy
sickening thoughts, minds feeding on death
craving for pain
the face of death, evil descends
from the throne of fatal contempt
illusions embraced, evil seduce
acts of an, with nothing to lose
following the path
and my wisdom you will gain
follow the one
in darkness and pain
scenes of horror a call from beyond
acts of lust, kill for fun
a black heart the devil's soul
pure as stone, remorse for none

I love the vocalist though, one of the most brutal I have listened to alogn with the chap from 'As I Lay Dying'. This album has a very raw and again, brutal sound. Good sh!t.
'Bleeding to Death' is playing now (my favourite song off the album).

Still Remains - The Worst is Yet to Come
These words have slipped again.
Stitch the lips of the one that murmurs them.
Cloud your vision, make everyone disappear.
There's still time to wake up.
Get out while you still can speak.
This mud is too thick to see through.
The stiches are coming out.
The wounds won't heal.
Is this embedded status permanent?
So, I'm fearing the worst is yet to come.
Days are getting shorter.
Close your eyes for awhile.
Rest a little longer.
This mud is too thick to see through.
The stitches are coming out.
The wounds won't heal themselves.
Is this embedded status perment?
So, I'm fearing the worst is yet to come.
Days are getting shorter.
Close your eyes for awhile.
Rest a little longer.
These shoulders are too weak to carry any more.
My will is too weak to carry on.

Never Had A Dream Come True
-Even though it's a pop song, it's pretty good-
Everybody’s got something, they had to leave behind,
One regret from yesterday, that just seems to grow with time,
There’s no use looking back, or wondering, (or wondering),
How it could be now, or might have been, (or might have been),
All this I know, but still I can’t find ways to let you go,
I never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I’ve moved on
You’ll always be my baby,
I never found the words to say
You’re the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be with you.
Somewhere in my memory I’ve lost all sense of time,
And tomorrow can never be cause yesterday is all that fills my mind,
There’s no use looking back, or wondering (or wondering),
How it should be now, or might have been (or might have been),
Oh this I know but still I can’t find ways to let you go,
I never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I’ve moved on
You’ll always be my baby,
I never found the words to say
You’re the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be
You’ll always be the dream that fills my head
Yes you will, say you will, you know you will oh baby,
You’ll always be the one I know I’ll never forget,
There’s no use looking back or wondering, (or wondering),
Because love is a strange and funny thing, (and funny thing),
No matter how I try and try I just can’t say goodbye, no no no no.
I never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I’ve moved on
You’ll always be my baby,
I never found the words to say, (never found the words to say),
You’re the one I think about each day, (you’re the one I think about each day),
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be...
A part of me will always be with you, oooohhh.

Artist: As I Lay Dying
Album: Shadows Are Security
Song: Illusions
How could I go back...
Back to the life where I lived amongst the dead.
Those who have forgotten how to feel
And become slaves to memory and wishful thinking.
But Your love has set me free
As You've awakened every star that has been sleeping
In the constellation of my soul.
How could I go back to live amongst the dead?
Those who imprisoned beauty.
I never want to leave Your arms.
So I wait in hope for Your embrace.
Illusions of what I thought was love
Now I have clear sight
To see I've left nothing behind.

Good song, I like all of Showbread, they have a nice tune and work well with words.
Artist: Showbread
Album: No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical
Song: Matthias Replaces Judas
it is so that my transgressions have born a withered fruit,
the sun has scorched the rising plans;
alas they have no root, the bleached bones of animals bound by leather strips,
dance through the air with laughter as i wield this wicked whip,
as you did warn me carpenter, this world has weakened my heart,
so easily i disparage, self-seeking the work of my art,
and there you have come to me at the moment i bathe in my sorrow,
so in love with myself, sought after avoiding tomorrow,
where do you find the love to offer he who betrays you?
and offer to wash my feet as i offer to disobey you,
your beauty does bereave me, and how my words do fail,
so faithfully and dutifully i award you with betrayal,
the weak and the down trodden fall on broken legs,
as i walk past a smile i cast, fervor in my stead,
but my bones like plastic, do buckle backward now,
i lay in this field by Judas' bowels and anticipate the plow,
i can not be forgiven; my wages will be paid,
for those more lovely and admirable is least among the saved,
and where would i fit Jesus?
what place is left for me?
the price of atonement is more than i've found to offer up as my plea,
Jesus my heart is all i have to give to you, so weak and so unworthy,
this simply will not do, no alabaster jar, no diamond in the rough,
for your body that was broken, how can this be enough?
by me you were abandoned, by me you were betrayed,
yet in your arms and in your heart forever i have stayed
Your glory illuminates my life, and no darkness will descend,
for you have loved me forever, and your love will never end

I find not distractions live life of single mind
and failure is not inherent for I will have what's mine
I'll struggle and sacrifice should I find value there
I'll not be scorned by failure
I'll not relent
now my conscience shall dictate my way
no more apologies no more mistakes
now solid direction has strengthened my resolve
fear not for consequences
fear not at all my focus shall not fail
I shall not fall and nor shall I despair
exist no more distractions exist no more delays
set free from inhibitions set solid on my way
now set forth with purpose and with a strong resolve
fear not for consequences

this simply will not do, no alabaster jar, no diamond in the rough,
for your body that was broken, how can this be enough?
by me you were abandoned, by me you were betrayed,
yet in your arms and in your heart forever i have stayed
Your glory illuminates my life, and no darkness will descend,
for you have loved me forever, and your love will never end

At a loss for something different to say,
I've said everything, we've said it all before.
An extra nail for your coffin.
I'm going to ride that horse we've beaten to death,
And deliver its stinking carcass to your doorstep.
A gift from all the dead children,
That are the progeny of your ballistic union.
Borrowing from Peter to rape Paul,
No news is good news, but I've got some news for you.
Fetch me a rope, lynch mob of one.
An extra nail for your coffin.
Certain blood has been shed for uncertain reasons.
You will never quiet this storm,
A cold wind to chill your bones.
I bring the hammer down.
Borrowing from Peter to rape Paul,
No news is good news, but I've got some news for you.
Fetch me a rope, lynch mob of one.
Japanese bonus track. Aptly titled.
A lot more melodic than the rest of the album, though it's all melodic in the end, which is why I love this album.

But these dudes just totally own. They are probably one of the most popular Christian Metal bands out there.
The Art is so friggin awesome.
Purevolume: Demon Hunter's third album, "The Triptych," [arrived] October 25th. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Emery) and mixed by Machine (Lamb Of God), the album will be available for a limited time with three different covers, each of them painted by Dan Seagrave (Morbid Angel). "The Triptych" builds upon the band's heavy but melodic blueprint by infusing it with elements of the traditional metal the band grew up on -- bands like Pantera, Machine Head and Sepultura. New songs include "Fire To My Soul" and "Not I." "The Triptych" is Demon Hunter's followup to the hugely acclaimed "Summer Of Darkness," which generated the MTV2 "Headbanger's Ball" and Fuse TV staple "Not Ready To Die" (also featured on the soundtrack to "Resident Evil: Apocalypse").
Artist: Demon Hunter
Album: The Triptych
Song: The Science Of Lies
Bow down- before the god of cash
The philosophy of modern man is leaking fast
No foundation for the fram by which you set your mind
Just a legacy for the feeble to find
Desperation breeding faith unto a pitiful lie
"Give us your money and we'll open up your gullible eyes"
No redemption, not a reason, but a symbol of why
This digression of surrender is the science of lies
(Chorus:)
Believe the sacred blasphemy
They feed
That hollow voice inside your head
Recieve the fleeting fallacy
They breathe
Trace every step from where you were led
Look back and tell yourself what they said
(Now flee)
And now you feel it pulling you down
How can you buy into a faith that hasn't permanent ground?
Give me blood-soacked, sacrificial worth
Not the artificial product of a fraudulent birth
Give me selfless, consecrated reprise
Not a worthless contribution to the science of lies
(Chorus)
Feel it pulling down
(Chorus)

Melodic death/black metal with a difference. All their songs are about aliens, conspiracies etc. Things like abductions, invasions, government cover ups and the like, really cool. This is a pretty violent album actually, but their best yet I think, with a few good solos, and very solid vocals throughout.
Rating: 10/10 (one of my favourites).
I reccomend to fans of:
Arch Enemy
Norther
Old Man's Child
(though probably no one here besides me and Sheep have even heard of those bands lol)

54 musicians, from 45 bands, playing/writing 18 songs. Awesome stuff, it really is. Every song is amazingly unique, with different drummers, guitarist and singers. Joey Jordison from Slipknot and Matt Heafy from Trivium were among the main ones who wrote the songs for this Roadrunner Records 25th anniversary album.

IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) full of subliminal messages. It's good for you.
Imagine if you can what it is like to have no posessions at all.
Nothing. Very few people are able to imagine such a thing, to have nothing at all.
Well let us, you and I, try to imagine something a hundred times harder.
Not just to have nothing at all, but when there was nothing at all.
The very beginning of time. The dawn of history. Page one.
Nothing at all.
The earth itself with out form, and void.
Only an emptyness, formless, a dark endless waste of water.
No living thing, no plant or tree, no bird or animal.
Nothing.
This is before people. Before anything at all. A void. Sitting silent.
Still.
And then...
Nothing.

Great song, reminds me of Velvet Revolver with all traces of the mainstream removed
Keep on writing you're just raping yourself (nothing can take my mind away from them)
Don't you ask about me, ask 'bout somebody else (Once I've fallen there's many stories to tell)
I can feel it, won't embrace it, it's overwhelming how far ya take it (Stuck in a state of questioning)
And don't you tell me you know we' re destined, you won't convince me, I won't listen (Resentment building, you've put
our lives on hold)
Trashed and scattered again, I'm feelin' so low
You waste your breath while ****in' with me, my blood is so cold
My destination always unknown, I'll find my way there
but Goddamn Mother****ers always wasting my time
I won't be the victim, but the first to cast a stone
Sedated nights to the bar room fights as metropolis takes its toll
And don't you try to stop me, it's a place you'll never know
Don't try to judge or take shots at me, I'll never let you seize control
Play your game you better walk away cause your integrity don't mean ****
Crawl on me you ****ing parasite, and I'm gonna take you out
Label me, that's fine, I'll be somebody else (Nothing in front of me but holes ahead)
Lie about my life, have a story to tell (Lights went down, was on the edge and I fell)
Oh you're so insightful, let me remind you to twist and break me, should make you worried (Long way to go and you're
right there)
Two-faced liar, don't try and know me, deceit brings fire, makes sure you can't breathe (Pick at pieces of my body below)
I never bothered with all the rumors, too much garbage (all the same)
I'll stand right here, come on you falsehood deceitful liar (There's no shame)
Don't ever take my side, I know you're never right, I'll justify the means (Nothing's what it seems)
I'll stand around and fight, but there's no point tonight, been chained to this machine
Trashed and scattered again, I'm feelin' so low
You waste your breath while ****in' with me, my blood is so cold
My destination always unknown, I'll find my way there
but Goddamn Impostor are you out of your mind?
I walk down these roads alone and now you're seen here
My feelings that I'm having towards you are perfectly clear (I control this ride)
My devils appetite is tonight and now I'm alright
But you Goddamn Mother****ers always wasting my time
Play your game and walk away cause your integrity don't mean ****
Crawl on me you ****ing parasite, and I'm gonna take you out
I won't be the victim, but the first to cast a stone
Sedated nights to the bar room fights as metropolis takes its toll
And don't you try to stop me, it's a place you'll never know
Don't try to judge or take shots at me, I'll never let you seize control
Don't try and get the best of me (No one can help but your own self)
City makes my body ache (Lonely, don't try and prey on me)
I feel your world dying, no more use in tryin'
And my body's trashed and low, but to you I'll never show myself or what's inside
And I've seen it all before but I'll settle the score, I'll never join your side

Australian Jazz Metal (they invented a new genre), though some purists may call it progressive. All very good songs, though the vocalist tends to get on my nerves at time. I think you (Sheba) should look into it (Velocity and Remote Viewing are a couple of stand-out tracks).

love this song, amazing how the vocals don't sound very much like the lyrics
Every time I'm left alone
My misery begins to drown me
Tied by a rope of anxiety
Thrown overboard
As I'm pulled under the tides of this fast paced world
I refuse to see
[Chorus]
Time will always be the thing that kills me truly
Open these eyes waking from a dream feigning
My lungs fill up with letdown
Disappointment in self and everyone
Expectations died in failure
abandonment my unsavior
As I'm pulled under the tides of this fast paced world
I refuse to see
[Chorus]
Absolution at the sight of your demise
I know what I must do
Choke
Die choking on your every word
Swallow every blasphemy
Absolution at the sight of your demise
I know what I must do
Swallow every blasphemy
Eat out your heart and make it bleed
Tie the noose around my neck
Make this life end
love the guiatr solo at the end!!!!!

A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me
I confess, I'm just messed up
dropping "I'm sorry" like you're still around
And I know you dressed up
"hey kid you'll never live this down"
And you're just the girl all the boys want to dance with
And I'm just the boy who's had too many chances
I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"
I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
So say, what are you waiting for?
Kiss her, kiss her
I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late
Write me off, give up on me
Cause darling, what did you expect
I'm just off a lost cause
a long shot, don't even take this bet
You can make all the moves, you can aim all the spotlights
Get all the sighs and the moans just right
I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"
I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
So say, what are you waiting for?
Kiss her, kiss her
I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late
(always on, always on)
You said you'd keep me honest
(always on, always on)
But I won't call you on it
(always on, always on)
I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
