Comments: This sounds like a mix of lots of their songs :O It's nice and steady.
Lyrics:

Artist: Blindside
Album: Silence
Song: Pitiful
as I recall when my stomach turned
and I was hiding away from myself
away from you
like nothing but something was terribly wrong
and I admit that I was only waiting for the right time (right time)
right moment for you to look away
though you never did I pretended for a while
so I could walk where I don't belong
I remember every word you said
come back in time come back
and I remember I was too beaten
pitiful so pitiful
but I know as they hammered those nails
into your beautiful hands
your eyes they tried to search for mine
but I look away
now your eyes are the only thing that can save me
I'm still afraid of them piercin'
you break into my prison
just pretended for a while
my soul is sad and I walk away
I remember every word you said
come back in time come back
and I remember I was too beaten
pitiful so pitiful
pitiful
pitiful
pitiful
pitiful
so pitiful
and I remember every word you said
but this time I won't look away
and I remember every word you said
and this time I won't look away
and I remember every word you said
come back in time come back
and I remember I was so beaten
pitiful so pitiful
and I remember every word you said (pitiful)
come back in time come back (pitiful)
and I remember I was too beaten (pitiful)
pitiful so pitiful

Track: Industrial Twillight
Artist: The Kovenant
Album: S.E.T.I.
Comments: Industriaaaal <3 I love it.
Lyrics:
Industrial Twilight
United we stand in shared perversion
The love of death - The paradise of Hell
This infinite limbo, like a great black engine
Ultimate abomination, no one here gets out alive
Let the posion arrows fall
Let the pillars of "heaven" crumble
Martyrs to no one but ourselves
We are the rusted pillars of a better tomorrow
Give me your crippled hand, and I?ll drag you into evolution
Compassion is obsolete, the answers are no longer true
To many sides to chose from, fascism in masked control forms
Paradise...prepare for deconstruction
Welcome to the radiant silos of Atom
Man-made misery, the perfect anti-life
Divine radiation, the corruption of flesh
Ours is the God of nuclear winter
Synthesized evolution of tomorrow
When we tried to become, the world turned negative
You were the words in my mouth
When I was just trying to save their world
Welcome to the radiant silos of Atom
Man-made misery, the perfect anti-life
Divine radiation, the corruption of flesh
Ours is the God of nuclear winter
"Once I was the carrier of wounds,
featherless and without direction,
Never a saint nor a saviour,
relentless in my search for a higher existence...
In a nuclear war...All men will be cremated equal!"

Album: Engage
Song: What Is Love
hey kid what are you lookin' at
how'd you get so evil so fast
where's your mom, where's your dad
what did they teach you
did they touch you
i can't believe this happened to you
i promise it's not supposed to be this way
but you have no right to repeat the same
she's not yours this ain't a game
step back watch where your hands go
it might do you goo to cut 'em off
better that than to rip her off
you're a thief an abomination
lucky for you i'm no assassin
i love her you distorted her view
God help me not to distort you
so let's just say that your blessed
blessed that i never met you
hey you son of a preacher man
i got some words for you
repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near
you stole somethin' that you can't give back
from the one i love
and now she's forced to pray daily
to fight against your flashbacks
so let's just say you're blessed
blessed that i never met you
hey you, you better take your eyes off of her
your eyes are evil so look away
i'm warnin' you there'll be
hell to pay hell to pay
little girl dont you cry
this boy can't steal whats inside
let my Father hold you up
heal the thoughts that make you throw up
i know this life has been hard on you
but the next will never end
only thing i know to do
is to ask my Father to heal you
no soap will ever scrub away
the memories the memories
hey you, you better take your eyes off of her
your eyes are evil so look away
i'm warnin you there'll be
hell to pay hell to pay
i'm sorry sorry
little girl don't you cry
your beautiful beatuful beautiful
i love you, i love you
Father heal us
won't You hear us
show us Your mercy forever
i love You, i love You

Magdalena by A Perfect Circle <3
Album: Mer de Noms
Lyrics:
Magdalena
Overcome by your
Moving temple
Overcome by this
Holiest of altars
So pure
So rare
To witness such an earthly goddess
That I've lost my self control
Beyond compelled to throw this dollar down before your
Holiest of altars
I'd sell
My soul
My self-esteem a dollar at a time
One chance
One kiss
One taste of you my magdalena
I bear witness
To this place, this prayer, so long forgotten
So pure
So rare
To witness such an earthly goddess
That I'd sell
My soul
My self-esteem a dollar at a time
For one chance
One kiss
One taste of you my black madonna
I'd sell
My soul
My self-esteem a dollar at a time
One taste
One taste
One taste of you my Magdalena

Album: O' God, The Aftermath
Song: Murderotica: An Avalanche In D Minor
Our knives say "we're making way for this, the ending."
Stay back, turmoil is across-the-board.
It is making way for... a gaping tear is opening.
This, this is our last broadcast.
We're wrecklessly looking for the truth,
And we'll tear this place apart.
There is hope for us yet.
Hope is there.

They have one of the best vocalists ever. Oh and, they have this fancy old english <3
Lyrics:
Ferie dearest, was it loe soothfast or a façade;
A serenade siren'd to lure - Zounds! not to court me?
A menad, yet the sweetest colleen -
Certes didst thou me unveil meekly life pristine.
Lorelei,
A poet of tragedies, scribe I lauds to Death,
Yet who the hell was I to dare?
Lorelei,
Canst thou not see thou to me needful art?
Canst thou not see the loss of loe painful is?
Dedally didst thou perform the tragic pasquinade,
For all years a damndest and driegh'd accolade -
Caus'd for all eyes mazed to behold a mêlee;
In the midst did I swainly cast thee my bouquet:
The one and sole ***got that feedeth the fire,
Bellow'd bidingly by my heart's quailing quire.
Lorelei,
A poet of tragedies, scribe I lauds to Death,
Yet who the hell was I to dare?
Lorelei,
Canst thou not see thou to me needful art?
Canst thou not see the loss of loe painful is?
Perchance author I thee this ikon'd apologue for aught,
Doth the wecht burthen thee?, then bethink thine afterthought:
'Tween Aether and 'Nether art thou the peerless phoenix -
Prithee, darlingmost! - court me rather than the peevish prolix.

Emo (short for emo-core, itself a contraction of "emotional hardcore", now usually an abbreviation of "emotional") is a term now broadly used to describe almost any form of guitar-driven alternative rock that expresses emotions beyond traditional punk's limited emotional palette of alienation and rage. It is also used to describe fans of this genre, most commonly teenagers. (ie "Emo Kid"). The actual term "emo" originated in the mid-1980s D.C. hardcore punk scene, with the band Rites of Spring.

They are Christian, so you may not like them. The style was actually invented by Christian bands, believe it or not. But Emo, it's hard to tell who actually came up with it.

I absolutely love the lyrics to this song, very powerful:
Death in its purest form
Welcome to the sacrificed world
Those beneath the holy ground
Buried in the dirt of the mortal's sin
Just like a dream in mysterious splendour
Cross the line to dimensional glory
Absorb the light of heaven's messenger
Arise and feel the sensation of monotony
As you grow old and reluctant to fall
Believing a lie of immortality
Life as you know it, soon you shall crawl
Beg for your soul and your sanity
Ignorance, devotion for God
Educated in the art of fraud
Imprinted in minds, they all want more
Let's engage in the art of war
With all means infiltrate and destroy
Make the weaklings suffer
Kill the traitors kill them all at once
Summon the beast and crush'em
Sums up my entire view of this matter, 10/10.

Listening to: "What's This?" by Danny Elfman. It's the song from "The Nightmare Before Christmas", on the part where Jack finds Christmas town :O
What's this? What's this?
There's colours everywhere.
What's this? What's this?
There's white things in the air.
My favourite: There's children throwing snowballs, instead of throwing heads.

Octavarium
Dream Theater
Octavarium
I got this album yesterday (the day it was released) after school. The entire album is amazing; the title track is the last track on the album and weighs in at exactly 24 mintutes. listening to it was a truely amazing experience; the song sums up many of their musical influences including Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd, Gennesis, and many more, from the softer start to the climax, where James LaBrie screams at the top of his lungs, "TRAPPED INSIDE THIS OCTAVARIUM!!!". of course, an epic song like this needs an epic finish, and the finale did not disappoint. Octavarium gets 12 thumbs up.
now, go get the album :)

Lyrics:
I beat my machine it's a part of me it's inside of me
I'm stuck in this dream it's changing me I am becoming
the me that you know had some second thoughts
he's covered with scabs and he is broken and sore
the me that you know doesn't come around much
that part of me isn't here anymore
all pain disappears it's the nature of my circuitry
drowns out all I hear there's no escape from this my new consciousness
that me that you know used to have feelings
but the blood has stopped pumping and he's left to decay
the me that you know is now made up of wires
and even when I'm right with you I'm so far away
I can try to get away but I’ve strapped myself in
I can try to scratch away the sound in my ears
I can see it killing away all my bad parts
I don't want to listen but it's all too clear
hiding backwards inside of me I feel so unafraid
Annie, hold a little tighter I might just slip away
it won't give up it wants me dead
godd**n this noise inside my head

Great song, Put it up here before. Nice beat, and kida scary in the middle. ^_^
Artist: Norma Jean
Album: Bless The Martyr And Kiss The Child
Song: Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste
Walk around the room with a glaze in your stare.
In your tuxedo suit.
I will give it a name.
Lower your defenses.
Lower your casket.
Open the door and open your grave.
Murder.
Now you're doing the waltz with your murderer.
Mediocrity is the killer.
You find yourself helpless.
Christ is not a fashoin, fleeting away.
He laid emeralds in her eyes,
but I'd already tried a bracelt made of gold
and a scarlet thread around her wrist.
Everything was wrong so we sang sentimental songs.
"Oh how seldom we belong but how elegant our kiss."
We painted crooked lines
but danced in perfect time to a love so much refined,
we know not what it is until like a dullen wine we pour into a grief know before
but never quite like this.
All i know now is regret,
it follows like a silhouette along the cobbelstone behind us,
but has nothing to say except to innocently ask,
its voice delicate as glass,
"Do you see me when we pass?"
but i continue on my way.
-----------------------------
Oh dern, as sson as I finished asting that it's done. Now I'm on Norma Jean "Human Face, Divine" Good, but definitly not as good as Memphis will be laid to waste. Good lyrics I might add. 9/10.
Artist: Norma Jean
Album: Bless The Martyr And Kiss The Child
Song: Human Face, Divine
It is all done wrong, or so it appears.
It is all done right.
Eternal eyes.
I am pressing on no matter how it looks.
It is all planned out.
Understatement.
Lay your hands on your mouth.
Negativity.
I don't want to hear it.
Your cursed tongue.
This is greater than you.
This is greater than me.
Flawless.
Increase time and it will all fall into place.
I don't care about surroundings.
I don't care about wicked words.
I don't care about surroundings.
I don't care about desire.
I don't care because it is a waste of my time.
Don't sell out.
It all comes to these words a batte field inside my mind.
Shall i take her or leave her.
I will site my sites north.
I will not feed it doubt.
I will not be cursed by doubt or a concubine wife.

Album: Mmhmm
Song: My Girl's Ex-Boyfriend
Comments: Great song, pretty funny. It's one of my favorites by Relient K. Hopefully they keep chunkin' out albums.
When he was seeing her
He could see he had his doubts
And now he's missing her
Because you know shes missing out
And now its haunting him
Her memory's like a ghost
And he's so terrified
Cause no one else even comes close
He's the guy that you should feel sorry for
He had the world but he thought that he wanted more
I owe it all to the mistake he made back then
I owe it all to my girl's ex-boyfriend
So then along comes me
This undeserving mess (undeserving mess)
Who would believe my life
Would be so blessed (life would be so blessed)
Two years ago
When he left all that to debris (left all that to debris)
Who would've known
He would leave everything I need
He's the guy that you should feel sorry for
He had the world but he thought that he wanted more
I owe it all to the mistake he made back then
I owe it all to my girl's ex-boyfriend
If it wasn't for him
I would still be searching
If it wasn't for him
I wouldn't know my best friend
If it wasn't for him
He would be able to see that
If it wasn't for him
He'd be as happy as me
When she and I settle down you can bet
That he is going to have to settle for less
He's someone I would hate to be
I got the girl and he's left with just the memory.
He's the guy that you should feel sorry for
He had the world but he thought that he wanted more
I owe it all to the mistake he made back then
I owe it all to my girl's ex-boyfriend
If it wasn't for him
I would still be searching
If it wasn't for him
I wouldn't know my best friend
If it wasn't for him
He would be able to see
If it wasn't for him
He'd be as happy as me

@STH, they aren't punk, not in the slightest, while Arials was soft rock, the other songs from that album were all experimental/hard rock/metal. Punk are bands like The Ramones (old punk), and Blink 182 (new punk). System does not resemble them in any way.

Third Strike - Walked Away
First heard this song on a mix CD of my brother's. Kinda like Disturbed meets Fear Factory with toned down vocals, and minus the double kick. That probably made sense to no one. Either way, it's a good track. Real angry music \m/ .
1.) Cicatriz ESP = *drool*
2.) Just get the entire De-Loused album. ^_^ It has some good songs. I like the Drunkenship of Lanters and Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt. I also heard that the Frances the Mute album is awesome.
3.) The Mars Volta - Eriatarka
Also from the De-Loused in the Comatorium album. I love the transition from quiet-to-loud rock. They remind me of Muse.

Album: Letters To The President
Song: Letters To The President
Comments: Great song from the Canadian band, Hawk Nelson. This is one of my favorites by them. It means much more than a letter to the president of the United States, it talks about the problems in not only the US, but in Canada, and the world. 10/10
When we were younger we used to sit on my porch
And talk smack about girls and professional sports
There’s a lot of things I wanted to say
But never got a change to find a way
(One) take a good look at all of your high schools
this is the first reason that I want to write you
it must be tough when society is messed up
Gotta save money, please don’t take it out on us
Do they even know? Do they even know?
If I was brave I’d write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won’t say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
But for now I won’t say nothing
Now that we’re older a brand new story unfolds
About God and the laws that we’ve always been told
And there’s a lot of things I wanted to say
But never got a change to find a way
Same-sex marriage in a state where they don’t care
Murder is wrong but the jail time’s not fair
Not to mention date rap, felony and car theft
Break it down and tell me what we’ve got left
Do they even know? Do they even know?
If I was brave I’d write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won’t say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
As for now I’ll start with something
Take a good look at Tommy, he’s a track star
Good role model, had a change to go real far
Then the school made a budget-cut
Cut out the track team
Now instead Tommy is a crack head
Same-sex marriage in a state where they don’t care
Murder is wrong but the jail time’s unfair
Not to mention date rape, felony, and car theft
Break it down and tell me what we’ve got left
If I was brave I’d write a letter to the president
And hove him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won’t say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
As for now I’ll start with something

Album: Letters To The President
Song: First Time
Comments: Great song, the chorus tells enough. The bands reaches punk altitude in this sone.
Stepping over two steps closer
I sit around wasting time, feel like the poster for a
Self-help line
Well me know the truth when we’re older
For the first time in my whole life
I’m not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I’m falling behind
And nothing out there will change me mind
Let’s start over crimson clover
While those golden nights get colder
If I could I’d press rewind
Turn on record and leave the past behind
Will we know the truth when we’re older
For the first time in my whole life
I’m not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I’m falling behind
And nothing out there will change me
When you find me will you remind me
We’re one step closer, two steps closer
For the first time in my whole life
I’m not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I’m falling behind
And nothing out there will change me
For the first time in my whole life
I’m not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I’m falling behind
And nothing out there will change me
For the first time in my whole life
I’m not afraid of feeling alive
This is the last time I’m falling behind
And nothing out there will change my mind

Vattnet svart
Som månen full
Varm nattbris viskar
Att jag är naken och ny
Water black
As the moon is full
Warm nightbreeze whispers
I'm naked and new
I know You're always throwing kisses from the sky
Tonight I caught one
Sixteen years old
I dare to swim further out
I know You're always throwing kisses from the sky
Tonight I caught one
Som om man kunde
Vidröra lycka
Jag virar den runt mig
Som en filt
Det är bara Du, jag och månen
Like joy was something you could touch
I wrap it around me
Like a blanket
It's just You, me and moon
I know You're always throwing kisses from the sky
Tonight I caught one
Sixteen years old
I dare to swim further out
I know You're always throwing kisses from the sky
Tonight I caught one

Song: Walls
Are you listening?
we write a thousand pages
they're torn and on the floor
headlights hammer the windows
were locked behind these doors
and we are never leaving
this place is part of us
and all these scenes repeating
are cold to the touch
my hands seem to deceive me
when I'm nervous or when I'm healthy.
the scenery's all drawn.
they hang here from the walls dear,
painting pictures, bleeding colors,
blanket the windows.
sometimes it gets so hard to breathe.
your eyes can see right through me.
these fights with your arms left beside.
one thing and one more says goodnight.
you've got the map come get to me.
these knuckles break before they bleed.
tear out these veins that own my heart.
this skin that wears your lasting marks.
i've built these walls come get to me, come get to me.
is this your lesson, a slight discretion,
the lines that keep you, the lines that sweep you.
lock the doors from the inside.
your face is so contagious, it wears announcements,
it leaves me breathless, i won't forget this.
let the walls have their say.
there's no conversation
words without remorse
and this television drowns the only source
wake from these dreams of you in my arms
to the staircase where you hold my heart
this place, these walls, mean everything to me.

barren are the ones behind

driven

headlong onto the breach
driven on
driven in
taken to the extreme
headlong onto the breach
pumping fast
the race is on
furious in striving
the feast of burden begins
the feast of burden begins
driven on

headlong onto the breach
driven on
driven in
headlong onto the breach
...the enslaving force
thrown ahead

Whipping the nightmares to a froth,
Endless questions with no answers,
No replacement for what's been lost,
Lost...
Everything suffocates in the dust of past,
fortunes squandered,
the empire of lies to whom you pandered,
Suffer a self-imposed exile, taste the bitter,
fruits of denial,
In the presence of greatness the humble can only bow,
Frost on the breath of life,
Empty of warmth or light,
Full of nothing but deprivation,
Eternal winter,
Tell me a lie with the best of intentions,
Mute in the age of mass communication,
Dark days lead to darker nights,
Frozen, out of time,
Id dies for blessed ego, the once mighty laid low,
Frost on the breath of life,
Empty of warmth or light,
Full of nothing but deprivation,
You taught hate, I'll teach you fear,
Open the eyes, kill despair,
Your tried to squeeze the life from me,
Son of b*tch, Im going to break you
Love the lyrics, and the drums & guitars are just awesome, a very talented band (they would want to be since they practive 7 hours a day, 5 days a week apparantly). Crazy stuff, and I really want to buy Ashes Of The Wake now.

Album: Turn The Tides
Song: Three Times Denied
Comments: Nice song with a good chorus. You can tell what it's about. I give it a 9/10
You broke the bread, You poured the wine,
You spoke your mysteries to stretch my mind
See I didn't quite follow,
How was your flesh in the bread that I swallowed?
Dipping bread in a dish, calling out a traitor
I'm hoping you'll explain this sooner or later
I'm living with confusion, It's like a bad dream,
Tell me, what's the conclusion?
Chorus:
Three times denied
Thought I was strong but it seems I was wrong
Now I see, since now I've three times denied
your name--I'm stained with shame
This wretchedness becomes my fame
Your accusation, it plagues my mind
Your prophecy leaves me horrified
Denied you ain't never gonna be,
Of all your crew, how could you think it was ME?
That would break your heart and make you moan
Forsake your name, leave you alone
With the sting of a coward's lie
The signed decree that declares you die
[Chorus]
Nightmares run through my brain
Cold sweat covers me like a sickening stain
In this place between asleep and awake
I shake from the cold and the fear of heartbreak
And in the glow of the fire I turn into a liar
To scared to say 'I know'
And like a sheperdless sheep I run and I weep
As I hear the 9 inch crow
[Chorus]
You said three times
My son do you love me?
And I said 'My Lord God, you know that I do'
You said three times
My son do you love me?
And I said three times 'Lord, You know that I do'
You said three times
My son do you love me?
And I said 'My Lord God, you know that I do'
[Chorus]

Comments - Nice song, he's Rock, but also Inspirational music. He lost his first wife to cancer, and remarried I believe. Losing his wife, I guess, got him closer to the faith.
Every single word I say
You know it before I speak
You know every thought the deepest part of me
You draw me closer than I see
Your presence is every thing I need to be the child that You've created me to be
I'm ready now to see it Your way
Chorus:
I lay down my pride
My desires my demise
I'm ready now to see it Your way
Cause I'm done, I'm thorough ignoring You now it's true
I'm kneeling at the cross of Your grace
Lay down my pride
I was faced with passing time
But I knew the choice was mine
To finally come to You and give You all control
I've wandered miles to find my way and then You revealed this simple faith
I know that You can see the secrets of my soul
Chorus: (2x's)
The cross
The blood You shed for me
Your back was ripped and bruised so I can know Your love
I kneel, I bow to You my king
Chorus: (2x's)

Only to fail.
I get so tired
Of procrastinating.
I need a change.
I can't do this.

I can't do this by myself.
I can't do this.
I can't do this.
Oh God, I need your help.
I'm standing still,
Moved so peaceful.

That I'm fine.
I get so ill,
Crazy, agitated
When I'm not really dying.
I can't do this.
I can't do this.
I can't do this by myself.
I can't do this.
I can't do this.
Oh God, I need your help.
Press into me.

Album: Songs To Burn Your Bridges By
Song: A Shadow On Me
These petals
This blackened rose in a soil all my own
Shrouding your hallowed ground
Like seeds who'll never sow
Like forgery and larceny and my ill-gained revelry
I recite these scripted lines while embers of a different time...
Go drifting by
[Pre-Chorus]
When every word you ever said came true
All I missed in all of this was you
[Chorus]
Can you see a shadow on me?
Calling me to leave
Find in me a trace of you in all this tragedy
You're the only home I know
These pieces
The shattered shard dancing in the moonlight
Glimmering and glistening
Preparing me for the night
I never learned to walk the surface on my own
So lately, this ocean floor has been feeling more like home
[Bridge]
So take me in these fleeting moments of solitude in you
Remove this sordid fascination with shadow
And remove this shattered self of preservation
All that you forgave and give all you promised to...
[Outro]
Can you see this shadow lifting?
Drifting home again

This song...and the whole album don't have Opeth's usual metal. Everything is much more acoustic and quiet in this one.
These are some of my favourite lyrics ever:
Out on the road there are fireflies circling
Deep in the woods, where the lost souls hide
Over the hill there are men returning
Trying to find some peace of mind
Sleep my child
Under the fog there are shadows moving
Don't be afraid, hold my hand
Into the dark there are eyelids closing
Buried alive in the shifting sands
Sleep my child
Speak to me now and the world will crumble
Open a door and the moon will fall
All of your life, all your memories
Go to your dreams, forget it all
Sleep my child

Lyrics:
Cant you see that its just raining
Ain't no need to go outside...
But Baby, You hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song is meant to keep ya
From doing what your supposed to
Like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
Ill make you banana pancakes
Pretend like its the weekend now
And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Ain't no need to go outside
But just maybe, hala ka ukulele
Mommy made a baby
Really don't mind the practice
Cause your my little lady
Lady lady love me
Cause I love to lay here lazy
We could close the curtains
Pretend like there's no world outside
And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Ain't no need to go outside
Ain't no need Ain't no need Mmmm Mmmmm
Cant you see cant you see
Rain all day
And I don't mind.
The telephone is singing
Ringing its too early
Don't pick it up
We don't need to we got everything
We need right here
And everything we need is enough
Just so easy
When the whole world fits inside of your arms
Don't really need to pay attention to the alarm
Wake up slow, yeah wake up slow
You hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song is meant to keep ya
From doing what your supposed to
Like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
Ill make you banana pancakes
Pretend like its the weekend now
And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Ain't no need to go outside

Album: No Control
Song: Big Bang
Lyrics
This isn't another new fashion, or a new wave plastic trend.
Everybody's searching for something but in the meantime let's all just pretend.
I've got this feeling and I don't know what it is.
This room is overcrowded, man, and I need air to breathe, yeah.
Big bang, big crunch, you know there's no free lunch.
Kneel down and pray, here comes your judgment day.
Big crunch, you know, it's gonna be quite a show.
What goes around always comes around, yeah.
A million hopeless faces dwell within protected walls,
All waiting for a moment in life when they can heed the clarion call.
And it's all so oppressive my mind feels like a sieve.
This city's overcrowded, man, and I need room to live.
Big bang, big crunch, you know there's no free lunch.
Kneel down and pray, here comes your judgment day.
Big crunch, you know, it's gonna be quite a show.
What goes around always comes around, yeah.
I think of the countless shadows that have all come and gone,
All suffering in the notion of better things to come.
If you share these beliefs you know I wish you well,
'cause there's no room left in heaven and there's sure no room in hell, yeah.
Big bang, big crunch, you know there's no free lunch.
Kneel down and pray, here comes your judgment day.
Big crunch, you know, it's gonna be quite a show.
What goes around always comes around.

Did you ever see the concrete stares of everyday?
The lunatic, the hypocrite, are all lost in the fray.
Can’t you see their lives are just like yours?
An unturned stone, an undiscovered
Door leading to the gift of hope renewed, eternity for you.
The masses of humanity have always had to suffer.
The businessman whose master plan controls the world each day
Is blind to indications of his species’ slow decay.
Can’t you see his life is just like yours?
An unturned stone, an undiscovered
Door leading to the gift of hope renewed, eternity for you.
The masses of humanity have always had to suffer.
People blow their minds (they choose to resign)
This deformed society is part of the design.
It’ll never go away (it’s in the cards that way).
The masses of humanity have always, always had to suffer!
A door leading to the gift of hope renewed, eternity for you.
The masses of humanity, still clinging to their dignity,
The masses of humanity will always have to suffer.
Always have to suffer.

A very AFI-ish song (the piano, and even the vocal work is reflective of this). A good song though.

I love the integration of synthesised sounds into this otherways straight out metal song. The guitars and rums are also great, and as with almost every single DT song, the vocals are brilliant.

Artist: Bad Religion (This band roxs)
Album: The Empire Strikes First
Song: Sinister Rouge
Innocents burned,
alive at the stake
Tortured and dumped
In nameless graves
Centuries wane
Authority died
Scattering seeds of ancient lies
Sinister rouge
Coming back for more
To even the score
Sinister rouge
Coming back for more
To even the score
Child molesters
And Jesuits
Holding secret conference
Underneath the pontiff’s nose
And only God will ever know
Sinister rouge
Coming back for more
To even the score
Sinister rouge
Coming back for more
To even the score
Give us this day
Our daily bread
Your legacy
We'll not forget
Lick the wounds
Cleanse the land
The modern world
Rejects your hand
Sinister rouge
Coming back for more
To even the score
Sinister rouge
Coming back for more
To even the score
Sinister rouge
The nightmare comes in sinister rouge

The Used- Let it Bleed
Now this is a great song, my favourite, yesterdays feelings and hard to say are pretty bad but the rest of the album is great, infact this song is so great i'll post the lyrics (or attempt to)
This poison's my intoxication
i broke the needle off in my skin
pick the scabs and pick the bleeding
and assume that it was all in vain
positive scab is meant for healing
now its hitting me in the face
a burning bridge that so misleading
........................in the face
Let it Bleed
take the red for what's worth whoa
watch the fire
fill your lungs with smoke for the last time
it you feeling dying you might wanna sing
the fire they brought me couldn't drown the city (?)
they didn't even try to wash it clean
and we're to think that i was sober
put me out cause i'm on f**king fire
positive scab is meant for healing
cracked and i kept this clean
the most i can do for you is keep on lying
keep lying if you let it stay (?)
Let it Bleed
take the red for what's worth whoa
watch the fire
fill your lungs with smoke for the last time
it you feeling dying you might wanna SING
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
you might wanna sing
ha ha ha
you might wanna sing
ha ha
you might wanna sing
aha
you might wanna SING
YOU MIGHT WANNA SING x2
YOU MIGHT WANNA SING OR SCREAM IT
This poison's my intoxication
i broke the needle off in my skin
pick the scabs and pick the bleeding
yeah assume that it was all in vain
Let it Bleed
take the red for what's worth whoa
watch the fire
fill your lungs with smoke for the last time
it you feeling dying x3 you might wanna SING
you might wanna sing ha ha x2

Album: N/A (That is NOT the album. I just don't know the name of the album.)
Song: Pinball Wizard
Ever since I was a young boy
I've played the silver ball
From Soho down to Brighton
I must have played them all
But I ain't seen nothing like him
In any amusement hall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
He stands like a statue
Becomes part of the machine
Feeling all the bumpers
Always playing clean
He plays by intuition
The digit counters fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
He's a pinball wizard
There has to be a twist
A pinball wizard's
Got such a supple wrist
How do you think he does it?
(I don't know)
What makes him so good?
Ain't got no distractions
Can't hear no buzzers and bells
Don't see lights a flashin'
Plays by sense of smell
Always gets a replay
Never seen him fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
I thought I was
The Bally table king
But I just handed
My pinball crown to him
Even on my favorite table
He can beat my best
His disciples lead him in
And he just does the rest
He's got crazy flipper fingers
Never seen him fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

There's piece of you that's here with me
It's everywhere I go
It's everything I see
When I sleep I dream and it gets me by
I can make believe that you're here tonight
That you're here tonight
If I could find you now things would get better
We could leave this town and run forever

Apparantly on this album, the vocalist recorded each line of every song twice, one screaming and one growling, and then overlayed the tracks. The result is just a mindboggling death metal album.

Well I can ask the genie to pull me through
Well I can ask the mad man for his point of view
And I can call a physic for a well-rehearsed guess
I can call on Buddha for a walk in the dark
I can call on Bobby we got high from time to time
Call a politician to tell me wrong from right
I can ask my best friend to tuck me in my bed
Or I can call a suicide line with a gun to my head
What I need is some good advice
To help me win this losing games
I can see my life before my eyes
Oh and I can't stand the pain
The genie couldn't help me she was full of smoke
The mad man gave me a padded cell
The Physic didn't know me it was just a joke
And Buddha walked me to the gates of hell
Bobby died with a needle in his arm
The politician is doing time
My best friend he found the answer Jesus Christ
And I'm still hanging on the suicide line
What I need is some good advice
To help me win this losing games
I can see my life before my eyes
Oh and I can't stand the pain
What I need is some good advice
To help me win this losing games
I can see my life before my eyes
Oh and I can't stand the pain

I love the background effects for this piece. And that..piano-ey sound most of all.
Lyrics (wonderful lyrics by the way. Very original in some parts):
The more you see the less you know
The less you find out as you grow
I knew much more then than I do now
Neon heart, day-glow eyes
The city lit by fireflies
They're advertising in the skies
And people like us
And I miss you when you're not around
I'm getting ready to leave the ground
Oh you look so beautiful tonight...
Don't look before you laugh
Look ugly in a photograph
Flash bulbs, purple irises the camera can't see
I've seen you walk unafraid
I've seen you in the clothes you've made
Can you see the beauty inside of me?
What happened to the beauty I had inside of me?
And I miss you when you're not around
I'm getting ready to leave the ground
Oh you look so beautiful tonight...tonight
In the city of blinding lights
Time...time....time...won't leave me as I am
But time won't take the boy out of this man
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
In the city of blinding lights,
The more you know
The less you feel
Some pray for, others steal
Blessings not just for the ones who kneel, luckily

Careful what you're wishing for,
they will lead you down below.
Careful what you're thinking of,
don't want to see you at the end of the rope.
Take it one of us must hang, one of must go.
This standoff is rigged, the trap must close.
Take it one of us must hang, one of us must go.
Ears are ringing, alarms come near.
Careful what you're speaking of,
for how long can you hold your breath?
Careful what you're dreaming of,
they'll hunt you down. Collapsing walls.
I really like Koma, their songs are kinda sad.

Alone I wonder in this misty forest
In this my (own) world of darkness
There are no lights that show me the way
The screams from my past surround me
The rain that falls tastes like blood
The blood that falls enchantes my soul
The chickets around me burn like fires
The fires around me enchantes my soul
Fear ain't a part of me, my feelings are no longer mine
Here in this my kingdom
Where the trees are my people
and the rivers my servants
The rain that falls tastes like blood
The blood that falls enchantes my soul
The chickets around me burn like fires
The fires around me enchantes my soul
Is this a dream or is this me?

A great song with a great beat. This song is so genius. I love the lyrics and I love the band overall so this gets a 11/10.
I've become so numb
I can't feel you there
Become so tired
So much more wrong where
I'm becoming this
All I want to do
Is be more like me
And be less like you
BTW, the version with Jay-Z was horrible. Original is much better without him.

Lamb Of God - Now You've Got Something To Die For
Quote
Now you've got something to die for.
Infidel, Imperial.
Lust for blood, a blind crusade,
Apocalyptic, we count the days.
Bombs to set the people free, blood to feed the dollar tree,
Flags for coffins on the screen, oil for the machine.
Army of liberation, gunpoint indoctrination,
The fires of sedition,
Fulfill the prophecy.
Now you've got something to die for,
Now you've got something to die for.
Send the children to the fire, sons and daugthers stack the pyre,
Stoke the flame of the empire, live to lie another day,
Face of hypocrisy, raping the democracy,
Apocalyptic, we count the days.
We'll never get out of this hole, until we've dug our own grave,
And drag the rest down with us, the burning home of the brave,
Burn.
Now you've got something to die for,
Now you've got something to die for.
Great song. Their drummer is one of the best I've ever heard, very versatile.

These guys are so damn good! Avatar is my favorite band at the moment. :)
This song gets 10 of 10.
Fly out of your cage
Leave eighteen years of pain behind
And feel the wind under your wings
Victim of life, you’re free now
Breathe the clean air – sweet smell of death
Sundown is here – Another one rises
Pain, sweet pain
You’re too much for me
Pain, sweet pain
You’ll set me free
Nothing is to stay
You wander on
You couldn’t wait
Please wait for me
I ask the stars:
Where have you gone?
What’s in the next world?
Will we ever meet again?
Like a bird flying to the moon
You never reached it - Your hunger was your doom
Doomed to live or forced to die
In this cage you were entrapped
What did you see when your dreams held you wake?
What did you say to the ghosts in your head?
Pain, sweet pain
You’re too much for me
Pain, sweet pain
You’ll set me free
You drowned in your own blood and tears
Once you have jumped there is no way back
All these illusions, trying to make it right
But it feels wrong, wrong to say goodbye
My beloved stranger – Nobody knew what happened
I hope you can tell me later
I don’t mourn your death – I just don’t know why
You were always close but still so far away
Pain, sweet pain
You’re too much for me
Pain, sweet pain
You’ll set me free
Nothing is to stay
You wander on
You couldn’t wait
Please wait for me
I ask the stars:
Where have you gone?
What’s in the next world?
Will we ever meet again?

Lamb Of God - Remorse is for the Dead
Quote
Too many nights raising hell worked a little all too well.
Constructed a monument to denial and excess
Sunk so low, crawled so far back there's nowhere left to regress.
If these walls could talk, they would tell a horror story
Never-ending winter, violence and infidelity
Shadows fall through broken panes
Careless words that are filled with hate
Just enough to keep it together, never enough to make it work.
All the tongues here are forked.
We are a hailstorm of broken glass, follow the path of least expectance.
A huge stinking pile of sick, pile it higher and higher.
Light the match, start the fire.
Level this place until nothings left
and take us with it.
Surroundings are irate.
Crack of dawn brings naught but pain.
Resentment steadily grows.
Laughing in the gallows
Full throttle determined to fail, pedal to the metal asleep at the wheel.
We are the lucky ones welcome home
Poisoned nerves and bloody antidote
Violence is not an aberration, its a rule.
Dying beyond the pale.
Your beatings will continue until my morale improves.
I don't hate you, I'm just removing an enemy.
Remorse is for the dead, my enemy
Remorse is for the dead.
Love the lyrical content, drumming is awesome, though that applies for every Lamb of God song. Guitars are great, the the vocal work is very strong, especially at the end of the song.
