Artist: Thousand Foot Krutch
Album: The Art Of Breaking
Song: Absolute
Comment: Title says it all. They tell that the world is full of a load of lies, and there is at least a few things that are absolute. 10/10
I've tried to hide it, but I can't sleep at night
Everything I think about makes me feel like a version of myself
They tell their lies and we all syncronize
Look to the sky because it's almost over
We want the truth, give us the Absolute
We need your help, 'cause we've got nothing!
We want the truth, give us the Absolute
We need your help, 'cause we've got nothing left to lose
I know we've tried this thing a million times
But put me out, 'cause I'm on fire
Don't talk if you aren't gonna tell me the truth
Don't tell me you know and you've got everything under control
We can't have it all, but we can break the fall
This time I'm letting god, 'cause I can't take it anymore
Wait 'til the bottle breaks, see how it all shakes
Who's gonna be around? Who's gonna hear the sound?
Wait 'til the smoke clears, who's gonna volunteer?
Stand if you're gonna stand, everybody's here
Take what you're gonna take, make what you want to make
Say what you're gonna say and break if you're gonna break

As I Lay Dying - Confined
"That night I never came home.
Wandering souls captured my thoughts..
Emptiness filled my mind.
Urgency spoke her lies.
In the confines of these grey walls.
I watched them move together.
Taking me places I cannot remember (remember).
We have been poured out...
Into a loveless bride..
How quickly I forget...
That this is meaningless.
How quickly I forget...
That this is meaningless.
In a world passing through my fingers.
I still chase the wind.
How quickly I forget...
That this is meaningless
How quickly I forget...
That this is meaningless
what have I learned from yesterday?
what have I learned from yesterday?"

Basicly it's the theme that plays when you are well under heavy attack of only Flood, mostly those moments you'll hear that.
Very good theme in my eyes.

I borrowed "..And Justice for All", "Kill 'Em All", and "Load" today off my older brother today. I couldn't find "Re-load" so I'll have to make do with these 3 for now. Metallica is a band I have always liked but never really gotten into. Now with 5 of their albums on my comp (I also have "St. Anger" and "Master of Puppets") I can really start appreciating them. really reminds me of when I was little and we played them in the car on the way to footy :P . Top band.

I wasn't being defensive. :P
And As I lay dying owns. They were the Top Christian Band of July.
Artist: As I Lay Dying
Album: Shadows Are Security
Song: The Darkest Nights
For so long I have felt alone.
Content to live with unrest.
Longing to fade into countless nights
That buried my weary heart.
But You brought an end to this dead hour
And meaning to this calloused life.
Held in Your arms but too far from my heart.
These thoughts will carry me through the darkest nights,
While Your eyes rest in mine.
I remember the way You loked at me
And the way You drew me close with one deep sigh.
Scattering pieces of my restless mind
Forgetting all that we have left behind.
The songs says that God brought the dude to a better way of life (Noticed how "you" is always capitalized, when speaking about God). It also, as you can see, shows the emotion felt as he is embraced.

I absolutely LOVE the lyrics to this song!
Our father thy will be done.
I have denied this life its worth
I will not be the victim.
Sickness to you my master
Here's to getting worse
Hope it kills you faster.
Show me how it hurts to rot from the inside out.
This vigil burns
Until the day our fires overtake you.
Our father we forsake you.
Blessed be his name
Nothing now the same.
Ask me why I hate
Why Ive prayed to see the nation that I love disintegrate
And gladly give my life
That revolution regenerates.
In honor of the strife of those who've died
In generations before for your blood stained glory
I reject you
I deny you
I defy you to continue.
Smite the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered.

Everyone seems to agree they're pretty bad, but I still like this song. I think the biggest problem is the guitars. They do their job I guess, but they're definately nothing special. What they need is to add another guitar on top of what they have already but with a more intricate melody, and a few solos :P.

I have no idea where I got this band from. o.o I think I once read one of Agatio's posts and decided to try it out. They're good <3.
Lyrics:
GO!
Their whispers
become
like cries
tears fall from blinded eyes
ninty nine have burned as embers
ninty nine have lost their lives
tired arms
now fight for life
amidst the crash-
shing waves they're drowning
will you
hold me
until mornings light
and i'll
tell you
what its like to die
die tonight
its to late
to cry
now she sees her face
and screams
was once
so beautiful
now kissed by flames
and showered
with glass
so beautiful
yet so cruel
the way love tends to be
her beauty
so cruel
the way love tends to be
will you
hold me
until mornings light
and i'll
tell you
what its like to die
will you
hold me
until mornings light
and i'll
tell you
what its like to die

Song: Die Interviewer (I Am Only Speaking In German)
This world is a stage.
Broken bones, no regrets.
This world is a stage and everyone seems to have their opinion.
Stick around, stay a while.
I am choking on someone else's blood and the fingerprints of God.
So stick around and let me tell you about it because far too many don't say.

and a line:

Comments: Love Gaurdian Yuki likes this band. They are pretty cool. 9/10, song is a little on the light side.
Take control of the atmosphere
Take me far away from here
There is no better loss than to lose myself in you
In a parachute to glide, I am captive in your sky
Surrender has somehow become so beautiful
Take control of the atmosphere
Take control of the atmosphere
You can take my world you can fill the air
Take control, take control
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
Move me up through the darkest clouds
Till I've lost in the sun every shadow of doubt
There is no better find than to find myself with you
In a fog you are all I see
I'm inviting you closer with each time I breathe
Surrender has somehow become so beautiful
Take control of the atmosphere
Take control of the atmosphere
There is no reason I should breathe unless you're in the air
Take control
Its such a beautiful surrender
Its such a beautiful surrender
And I'm calling out
would you take control
And I'm calling out

I finally got ahold of one of their CDs <3 They could be classified as goth metal. They're just brilliant ^_^ The vocalist is also awesome at growling. In some parts, he just goes on and on and on. Probably one of the best... "growlers" I have ever heard. XD
Lyrics:
Not fear, nor tears can reach me now
the light seems so clear as the night fades away
Behold of thy flame, below of all shame
Come conquer me sweet dreams of paradise
Dusk drawn hither to my evening star
A glance in thy mirror
The trance of thy mirror
Venus... through the looking glass
Dance so frail and lost in the fields afar
Cast off thy mourning
Clasp life and glory
Venus... through the looking glass
The sense of angels in veils of dawn
Like she runs forever among thy halls
The pale horizons are closing down
The reasons for living are lost somehow
Cross my heart with a glance upon the star of riddance
Drift afar like teardrops on the Stygian River
I'm the nightfall and wizard that summon thee
You're the blizzard that drape my eyes
I'm thy sorrow and vein of obscurity
You're the dagger that cuts
Shivers on the bleak horizon
Profound words... you're my frailty
See the light cease in thy life
Profound words... hurting me

I honestly don't know what drove me to download this song; I absolutely dislike punk. Yet, I saw the music video for it, and it was ... strange, yet somehow interesting. A poor kid that wanders around with deer antlers finds the girl of his dreams, but her father gets in the way. He goes after the kid with a hunting bow and arrow, but gets run over by a truck coming down the road. The kid notices that the father's boots were knocked off, and finds out that he, too, is part deer; his feet are hooves. Then it ends in a happily-ever-after-style ending.
It's strange, really. But somehow, I just downloaded it for the heck of it.

Crimson Barrel Knight, on Sep 3 2005, 07:32 PM, said:
Uhh, CBK...Fall Out Boy isn't punk. It's emo.
Emo: Fall Out Boy
Punk: Green Day
BIG DIFFERENCE :3
Mars Volta
The Widow
Such a sad song. But it's so...creepy. Kinda. Anyways, I wanna get their new cd. I heard it was really good...

Sepultura - Chaos AD
Brazillian metal band. o.o...I never thought I'd find something like this. Although, I heard they once came here... last year or a couple of years ago maybe. One of the guys who came with us to the Dark Tranquility concert had been there.
(The song is stuck in my head now. D:)

Song: Before I'm Dead
Album: Zer0space
Thoughts On The Song:
The vocals from the FEMALE lead singer make it seem like a tortured love story in which you try and get back to someone 'before you're dead'.
The song(along with the album) has a sort of industrial rock/Nine Inch Nails feel towards it, combined with non-screaming lyrics about love... There is no sign of screaming, unless you call the harmonic singing of the chorus a type of scream. This is an awesome song and it's not some emo-super gothic type music. Hell. Even the lead singer wheres clothes you could find ANYWHERE. Not high end goth clothing and crap like that.
Rating: 9/10. Great song. Great album.

It's a rather soothing song; not too heavy, and not too heart-felt, like those certain songs from epic and popular RPGs (preferrably those from Kingdom Hearts or Zone of the Enders). In fact, it's just a song that calms the nerves, as well does it relieve your early-morning pent-up teen angst (yes, I'm talking to you, silly emos). Definately an instant download. 8.5/10
How long before I get in?
Before it starts, before I begin?
How long before you decide?
Before I know what it feels like?
Where To, where do I go?
If you never try, then you'll never know.
How long do I have to climb,
Up on the side of this mountain of mine?

One of the 4 new albums I bought today (along with 'Chimaira - Chimaira', 'Meshuggah - Nothing', and 'Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine'.) No matter what this band does, I love them. Extremely intelligent lyrics, very well written music, and a line up of 4 amazing musicians. I personally think anybody who doesn't like, or doesn't respect the amazing band that is Opeth, has something seriously wrong with them. Yes, they are just that good.

"Attack Of The Radioactive Hamsters From A Planet Near Mars" by Wierd Al Yankovic
This song is HILARIOUS!!! From the movie UHF. I mean come on... Radiactive Hamsters? :)
Lyrics:
They showed up on my doorstep just a couple weeks ago
They looked so sweet and harmless
Tell me, how was I to know
They got a little too close to the microwave and then much to my surprise
They grew to forty thousand times their original size
They started mutatin' right before my eyes
Oh my
Attack of the radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars
A race from a distant place
They came in UFOs shaped just like cuban cigars
Man oh man, you oughta hear 'em squeal
Now the whole wide world is their exercise wheel
Attack of the radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars
The president, he's is a panic
The pentagon, they're in shock
There's a team of research scientists
They got 'em workin' 'round the clock
Now the National Guard is out in my back yard
And the Marines'll be comin' around
I hope they get this lousy rodents out of my town
'Cause the property values are goin' way down now
Attack of the radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars
They're back and they're lookin' for a snack
And they're not that fond of Burger Kings or salad bars
I hope they're not plannin' to stay
Who invited them here anayway
Attack of the radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars
Well, well, look at that hamster, he's as big as a blimp
And there's one the size of central park
They're using telephone pole to pick their teeth
They're evil and nasty and they glow in the dark
Oh, don't waste any more of your bullets, boys
You know it just makes 'em mad when you shoot
They're gonna stomp us into jelly and conquer the world
But you gotta admit, they're really kinda cute, now
Attack of the radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars
What a racquet they're makin', Jack
They keep me up at night playin' they're electric guitars
Listen to 'em squeal
They think the whole stinkin' world is their exercise wheel
Attack of the radioactive hamsters from a planet near Mars
Hey Jack, you better watch your back
Here come those hamsters from a planet near mars
Well, well, it's called the
Attack of the radioactive hamsters
From a planet
A planet near Mars

I haven't listened to this band in so long D: I missed them <3 Even if A Perfect Circle and TOOL are basically the same, I prefer APC.
BUT.
TOOL has some of the best lyrics I've ever seen.
Lyrics:
Black then white are, all i see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
Lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.
Black then white are, all i see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see
there is so much more and beckons me
to look thru to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind.
Feed my will to feel this moment, urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.
(I embrace myyy
desire to 2x)
feel the rhythm, to
feel connected,
enough to step aside and,
weep like a widow, to
feel inspired, to
fathom the power, to
witness the beauty, to
bathe in the fountain, to
swing on the spiral, to
swing on the spiral, to
swing on the spiral of
our divinity and
still be a humannnnnnnnn
With my feet upon the ground I move myself between the sounds and open wide to suck it in.
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out. I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
(Spiral out. Keep going. 4x)

Artist: Zao
Album: The Funeral Of God
Song: Praise The War Machine
Comments: Awesome song, one of the greatest of Christian Metal bands. Although popularized only recently, they were one of my favorites when I was into slipknot. Now back, these dudes own. As Golden Legacy Said, "yes, but they are also deep and moving, strangely" Lol.
The death of the Omega pilots the war machine
We shall destroy the earth
Rebuild it
None shall inherit it
Blood turned into fire
Made to drink like wine
Pile up the countless corpses and on them we shall dine
We praise you, war machine
You've come to set us free
Run us through your jaws
Carry us off in your claws
Cut away body from soul
A slave freed from his master
Closing the spirit's eye to embrace this earthly tie
666 (The number of man brought upon by man)
The earth it shall burn bright tonight in our eyes
The earth it shall burn right into our eye on this very night
Praise the war machine
Burn tonight

Meshuggah - Rational Gaze
Squint your eyes to see clearly
Blur reality to make it real
Let focus go from your deceiving eyes to know what's been concealed
We've all been blinded
Subjects to visual misinformation
A systematic denial of the crystalline
To see the fine grain, to read the hidden words
The context of parallel truth
Devoid of fragmentation
Our light-induced image of truth
Filtered blank of its substance
As our eyes won't adhere to intuitive lines
Everything examined, Separated, one thing at a time
The harder we stare the more complete the
disintegration
Dissolution
Eyes re-opened, Reasoning focalized, Receptors activated
Perspectives distorted
The ladder beyond our grasp
The twin-headed serpent forever hidden
Where's the true knowledge -
Where engines of the sane and insanity merge
The clarity. The unity
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible
to our fixed, restricted fields of vision
Existence taken for granted. -Absolute
Possessed, owned, controlled
By the common sense-infected rational gaze
Onward forever we walk among the ignorant
Never stray from the common lines
Bought the album "Nothing" on monday. Can get repetetive, but love the off timing in the drumming, and the odd guitar sounds throughout. Singer is bland, but does a very solid job on the vocals.

I didn't have to buy the game to know this soundtrack was awesome :B I think I've said it many times before but, Chris Vrenna was once a member of NIN (Nine Inch Nails) and he was also the drummer for Rasputina (two of my favourite bands). So, yay :O

Can't sleep with all this frustration, intoxication
I no longer have regret
So what If I cause hysteria, It's not my dilemma
I'm only here to inflict pain
I will never forgive the ones who pushed me away
Like a tumour, rage grows inside me
Reminding me every day
I will retaliate
A thorn in my spine for eight years
The Man who sheds no tears
I am here to expose you
All of the poison that you take
All people you violate
Your faith can't save you now
I will never forgive the ones who pushed me away
Like a tumour, rage grows inside me
Reminding me every day
I will retaliate
I am your family
With the power
To end everything
Everything you love
Love
You should be
You should be paranoid
I guess I no longer share this vision
I guess I have a new agenda
While you sink down into your hole
I am proud watching you lose control
I will never forgive the ones who pushed me away
Like a tumour, rage grows inside me
Reminding me every day
I will never forgive the ones who pushed me away (I am your family)
Like a tumour; rage grows inside me (I am your family)
Reminding me every day
I will retaliate
I am your family
With the power
To end everything
Everything you want
Everything you feel
Everything you need
Everything you love

Deceived of all your dreams
Betrayed by all your leaders
This shall no place to be
This, a dead-end future
Take a walk through grey, concrete deserts
Apathetic faces, empty eyes - the only thing you will see
A whole country bleeding to death
One big illusion - bleeding to death
No young hands to built it up
Cities fall to ruin
Just old men left to mourn
Four decades of a life denied
Abused good will to exploit us
Brothers turned to victors
Fooled by ancient propaganda
A bottle - your illusion
Your home just like a colony
My favourite song by this band, and I want to get the album "Antigone" now. Very brutal sounding metal.

'We are blind to the
World within us,
Waiting to be born'
I cast aside my chains
Fall from reality
Purgatory unleashed
Now burn the face of the earth
Purgatory unleashed
Now burn the face of the earth
[Chorus:]
The face of all your fears
All your fears unleashed
The face of all your fears
Born of the demon sky
Twisting reality
Sweet nauseating pain
Is death the only release?
Nauseating pain
Is death the only release?
[Chorus:]
The face of all your fears
I cast aside my chains
Fall from reality
Suicidal disease
The face of all your fears
Now covered with sores
Humanity exiled
Purgatory unleashed
Now burn the face of the earth
Purgatory unleashed
Now burn the face of the earth

If I'm here all alone
If I'm left behind
If they spit in my face
If they hate my kind
I will rise above
I will live for love
I will answer to the call
For the bond between
For the depth unseen
For my God forsake it all
'Cause I'm a fire
I'm a flood
I'm a revolution
I am a war
Already won
I'm a revolution
When the world is at war
When the grace is gone
When the hungry lay dead
While the rich live on
I will rise above
I will live for love
I will answer to the call
For the bond between
For a depth unseen
For my God forsake it all
'Cause I'm a fire
I'm a flood
I'm a revolution
I am a war
Already won
I'm a revolution
(Here I stand)
Open hands
Waiting for You
I won't back down
I live to speak your truth
'Cause I'm a fire
I'm a flood
I'm a revolution
I am a war
Already won
I'm a revolution

Know you by waste, not by your face.
Not by introduction, not by handshake.
Not by the things that you own, but the things you dispose
It's not a case of theft, but a case of loan
Scavenger have you heard
Stifting through your trash well I'm gonna make it last
well, scavenger's survivors find a way
Still sticky fingers find sticky situations
but in the wake of swept rugs we all need assistance.
So now I'm living off the spoils of leftover generations
equipped with wit and long legs if I need them
to hold my ground but not be found
I'm quicker than the wind but half as
Scavenger have you heard, sifting through your trash
Still I'm gonna make it last well
Scavenger's survivors find a way
Scavenger have you heard
Sifting through your trash ,
Weell I’m gonna make it last well
Scavenger survivors find a way
They find a way, they find a way, a way
Are you done give me some, Cause I'm ****ing hungry
Don't need pride with an empty belly.
Got no shame cause I know we're all whores,
Trying to pull the hustle, just trying to pull the
Scavenger. have you heard
Sifting through your trash well
I'm gonna make it last well
Scavenger's survivors find a way
Scavenger have you heard
Sifting through your trash, well
I 'm gonna make it last well
Scavenger's survivors find a way
They find a way, they find a way.
I have never heard of them but this song is great.

Is this a dream?
If it is
Please don't wake me from this high
I've become comfortably numb
Until you opened up my eyes
To what it's like
When everything's right
I can't believe
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
You found me
So, here we are
That's pretty far
When you think of where we've been
No going back
I'm fading out
All that has faded me within
You're by my side
Now everything's fine
I can't believe
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
You found me
And I was hiding
'Til you came along
And showed me where I belong
You found me
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know?
How did you know?
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
(You found me)
(When no one else was lookin')
You found me
(How did you know just where I would be?)
You broke through
All of my confusion
The ups and the downs
And you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
The good and the bad
And the things in between
You found me
You found me

Nice song, lets you know how the goverment warps our thought.
its like a pencil with erasers at both ends
i've won it all but we're dealing in purses
and these activities that you have engaged in
this is the politics of seeing you dance with him
we begin with concluding remarks
pick up the pieces and examine the parts
your words always cut when they cliche
but with my knife because i came for the buffet
this is the way it goes
with you a part of it
nervously saying words
that all so-tightly fit
a mark beneath the chin [ah ah]
i've caught you once again
it's in the way you sell
every word and phrase
and leaving me to know
how much the meaning weighs
say that we're needing this [ah ah]
using hands for emphasis
you'd like to think that you're the best part of me
but i confess there is nothing left of you here [nothing left of you here]
these paramounts and silly games
hide your face and say the name, say the name [say the name]
this is the way it goes
with you a part of it
nervously saying words
that all so-tightly fit
a mark beneath the chin [ah ah]
and i've caught you once again
it's in the way you sell
every word and phrase
and leaving me to know
how much the meaning weighs
say that we're needing this[ah ah]
your tears for emphasis
ah, there's that smile again [theres that smile again]
you're faking and i follow you right in
what a fool i've been
to fall for it each time
this is the way it goes
with you a part of it
nervously saying words
that all so-tightly fit
it's in the way you sell
every word and phrase
and leaving me to know
how much the meaning weighs
this is the way it goes
with you a part of it
nervously saying words
that all so-tightly fit
it's in the way you sell
every word and phrase
and leaving me to know
how much the meaning weighs

Ohio Is For Lovers
Awesome stuff.
I can't make it on my own
Because my heart is in Ohio
So cut my wrists and black my eyes
So I can't fall asleep tonight
Or die
Because you kill me
You know you do
You kill me well
You like to do it I can tell
You never stop until
My final breath is gone

Artist: Showbread
CD: No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical
Label: Solid State
Year: 2004
Comment: Great song, Awesome tone to it. Reminds you of older rock, and adds a nice set of screams. The lyrics are sweet, and I'd listen to it as much as possible.
Turning over in interrupted slumber,
You ponder others, growing ever wakeful,
You've locked the vermin in the other bedroom,
To be so perfect causes you to feel so thankful,
Now find the fault because your boyfriend can't read,
Reflecting on to you is all the bitterness you need,
So unhappy, yet so preoccupied,
Never found beaten down with your forked tongue tied.
Your eulogy is like poetry,
But your mouth is like a magazine.
Queen dependency is cowering, please don't be confused,
You are vacant and submissive, receptive to abuse,
Virtue isn't tangible, and sense of self is dated,
Names constant on your cracked lips are now eviscerated,
Your spine is made of metal, Your veins are bound in electric tape,
And all along an impulse lights at random in your face,
Yough cought up an offering and forget which words are lies,
Then your skull echoes a singeing pop, as your brain is cauterized.
Within the walls I hear all of its legs,
There must be so many to carry it over our heads,
Seething and unsettled and oh such a let down,
And now these rusty spokes inside my head are making such a grating sound.

Title: SuperSonic
Artist: Bad Religion
CD: The Process Of Belief
Well, am I making haste or could it be haste is making me,
What's time but a thing to kill or keep or buy or lose or live in,
I gotta go faster,
Keep up the pace,
Just to stay in the human race...
I could go supersonic, the problem's chronic
Tell me does life exist beyond it?
When I need to sate, I just accelerate, into oblivion
Into oblivi-yah yah yah yah yah yah yahn
Well here I go again, everything is alien
How does it feel to be outstripped by the base of cultural change?
My deeds are senseless and rendered meaningless,
When measured in that vein...
I could go supersonic, the problems chronic
Tell me does life exist beyond it?
When I need to sate, I just accelerate into oblivion
I won't lie, it's exciting when I try to decide things...
I just want to live decently, meaningfully,
I'm in misery...
I could go supersonic, the problem's chronic...
Tell me does life exist beyond it?
When I need to sate, I just accelerate into oblivion
Into oblivi-yah yah yah yah yah yah yahn.

One of my favourite songs by them. Off the album 'Ill Natured Spiritual Invasion'.
Bring my pain to the level of death
show this place the passion of hate
use my flesh to feed your soul
O'master retrieve the control My fate
you have won turn me into something strong
Your imperious glance will burn the sky
demons shall dance in the flames of your fire
Feel the ghastly force of death
the God of impiety roams free
His spell embraces me
I am touched by the essence of evil
a war of mighty dimensions
bring forth the powers of inhumanity

Yeah a lot of mainstream songs like that die out for me too just because they overplay them on the radio, t.v., anything like that. That's what's awesome about second-line bands that are unknown to radio but have followers that love their music.

This song is kind of chunky but there's two or three specific parts in it which goes on with quite a nice melody :3

Dig It
I just finished watching Holes again and I love this song. It was my favorite when the movie came out.
Lame rhymes but a nice beat (for me)
"A-R-M-P-I to the T what's that you smellin' dawg that's me. I don't take showers and I don't brush my teeth. All I do is dig holes, eat, and sleep"
;) ...yeah...

I watched the movie while I was in NY and finished reading the book a couple of nights ago. o.o The music for the move is just splendid <3 It's full of swingy piano + violin tunes. I think they'd kind of work for a ballroom.

All in all, these guys are musical geniuses, great use of piano, good solid drum beats, and everything just flows nicely.

sort of trance/dance mix. great music, though the songtext is quite monotonic (if that is a word ;))... its like this:
Put your ass in the air,
put your ass up in the air,
put your ass in the air,
put your ass up in the air,
put your ass in the air,
move around like you don't care...
and then a few lines with those words mixed...
and taadaa, you have a new song! but the music is awesome!!

Every life you live, there's just that one song that just captures your mind and puts an "I R T3H WIN" flag on it. A song that dominates your whole brain and vocal chords for a day, and keep coming back for more the next. A song so catchy, you can't stand but to throw yourself into LimeWire and download. Well, friends, this song is my plague. That one song that won't leave my brain for an eternity. And it brought me such joy to finally relieve my tender noggin and make my tired ears bleed to.
Great vocals, although it feels as if it's being drowned by the music a little bit. The lyrics are absolutely folktaleish, with a little bit of weird, and a whole lot of style. Sure, it's old; albeit around 5 years, but it's like I stated in the above paragraph.

Also, I didn't like Dir en Grey. I found them to be a very arty farty band that didn't get a whole lot of songwriting done, and focussed more on experimenting, which I don't as a rule like.

A rock song I remember very well back in the days when I played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 'till it wasn't very playable anymore. It's got a good running tune to it, and it doesn't let down until the song ends. Yet, even so, it's still got a somewhat steady beat. It's catchy, too ...
