Rappidly becoming one of my favourites off the new self titled album.
What a shame, breaking down
What is getting the best of you
Take a breath, it's not complex
I'm going to put your mind at ease
Innocent people are not meant to suffer
We're making negative energy power
This will be our truth
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us, we're stronger
We prey on the weak and conquer
No longer care for those
Who try to condemn and oppose
We'll save ourselves
You're afraid that I'm right
I know it eats you up inside
Well listen to me and you will see
You have to let those fears fly free
The only danger in this world is to be
Weak-minded with insecurities
This won't be our truth
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us, we're stronger
We prey on the weak and conquer
No longer care for those
Who try to condemn and oppose
We'll save ourselves
(Why, why) Why do you fear every one of us?
(Why, why) Why do you hate every one of us?
You crush us
You crush us
You crush us
(Why, why) Why do we feel we are wasting our time?
Go away, end this now
You need to get down off this cloud
Start focusing and listening
And it feels it's the time to change things
When I'm alone, I don't feel hopeless at all
The day must come where we can stand tall
And this will be our truth
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us?
Can you feel us, we're stronger
We prey on the weak and conquer
No longer care for those
Who try to condemn and oppose
We'll save ourselves
Save ourselves
So, can you feel we'll save ourselves

come home soon- SHeDAISY (thats not a typo, the group writes it like that)
...
I don't know what you're doin'
And I don't know where you are
But I look up at that great big sky
And I hope you're wishin' on that same
bright star
I wonder, I pray
And I sleep alone
I cry alone
And it's so hard livin' here on my own
So please, come home soon
(Come home soon)
I know that we're together
Even though we're far apart
And I'll wear our lucky penny 'round my neck
Pressed to my heart...
I think the song was written about a person whom the person they love is in the army. This song is really pretty, and NOT for the cold-hearted or the hard-hearted. I heard it by pure luck while I was flipping through the radio stations and I was like "omg, this song is perfect!" now, I'll shut up and rate XD
10/10 wow, a perfect score!

Very brutal vocal work in this song, great instrumentation also.
"how could we lose sight
of what matters most
trying to love
what cannot love us back
all we have is not worth living for
if we do not know when to let go
what is this life
that we cling to it so tight
afraid that it will take from us
these fading sentiments
can we die to live another day"

One of my favourite songs of the moment. Great music and some of Mike Portnoy's best lyrics. At 23 minutes in length, it's not for the impatient, but I can't get enough of it. 10/10
"Oh, come, let us adore him
Abuse and then ignore him
No matter what, don't let him be
Let's feed upon his misery
Then string him up for all the world to see."
I'm sick of all you hypocrites holding me at bay
And I don't need your sympathy to get me through the day
Seasons change, so can I
Hold on, boy, no time to cry
Untie these strings, I'm climbing down
I won't let them push me away

The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You
Gaze into her killing jar
I'd sometimes stare for hours
She even poked the holes so I could breath
She bought the last line
I'm just the worst kind
Of guy to argue
With what you might find
And for the last night I lie
Can I lie with you?!
Lost in the prescription,
She's got something else in mind
Check into the Hotel Bella Muerte
It gives the weak flight
It gives the blind sight
Until the cops come
Or by the last light
And for the last night I lie
Can I lie next to you?!

Listen to Your Heart (techno)
Very techno version of the song above. It's piano for like the first 30 seconds and then they jump into a 15 second techno thing that screams "remix!" Pretty good, but the techno is a bit overbearing at times.

Something like The Pillows, but, it's one of those hard-to-get J-Rock bands. Someone mentioned this band to me a while back, and I told my friend about it, which then triggered our hopes into actually finding a song by this band.
Though, it wasn't easy; many people knew about the Radiohead classic "Fake Plastic Trees", which populated the download list on LimeWire as I tried to search for just one song by Plastic Tree. I'm lucky to have even found just one song.
I hope to find more as I dig deeper into the mysteries of this assumed-to-be-unknown J-Rock band.
This song has the same smooth and amatuerish taste of The Pillows, but it's got more of a J-Pop ring to it for some odd reason ...
Also, what's ironic is that my friend looked into Plastic Tree a little more himself, and he said that the band was actually based off that Radiohead song. Though, it's kinda hard to believe ...

My favourite band and one of my favourite songs from them <3 I dunno why but, I love the lyrics.
I would like to state my vision,
Life was so unfair.
We live in our secure surroundings,
And people die out there.
Bosnia was so unkind.
Sarajevo changed my mind.
And we all call out in despair.
All the love we need isn't there.
And we all sing songs in our room.
Sarajevo erects another doom.
Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Sarajevo.
Bosnia was so unkind.
Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Saraje-
Bosnia was so unkind.
Sure things would change if we really wanted them to.
No fear for children anymore.
There are babies in their beds,
Terror in their heads,
Love for the love of life.
When do the saints go marching in? [X4]
Walk on tip toe...

As I recall with my stomach turning
I was hiding away from myself, away from you
Like nothing, though something was terribly wrong
And I admit that I was only waiting for the right time
Night time, the right moment for you to look away
Though you never did, I pretended for a while
So I could walk where I don't belong
And I remember every word you said
Come back in time, come back
And I remember I would soon be dead
Now so pitiful, so pitiful
But I know, as I hammered those nails into your beautiful hands
Your eyes still try to search for mine, but I look away
Now your eyes are the only thing that can save me
I'm still afraid of them piercing
You're breaking into my prison,
Just pretended for a while
My soul is dying
I won't look away
And I remember every word you said...
I'll remember every word you said
This time I won't look away

I got a few more songs from "As the Palaces Burn" and "New American Gospel" last night, though I still prefer "Ashes of the Wake". This and the others from Palaces are pretty good, especially the drumming, but the production and vocal work could have been tighter I think.

Heh. Had to get a joke in. (Even if it was crappy.)
Greenday - American Idiot
Don't want to be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation that under the new media.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind**** America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Well that's enough to argue.
Well maybe I'm the ****** America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.
Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Well that's enough to argue.
Don't want to be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information age of hysteria.
It's going out to idiot America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.

In Flames - Free Fall
:D Yes, I havn't downloaded many In Flames songs. Mostly just stuff from Reroute to Remain and The Jester Race, and i didn't take much interest in Reroute stuff until Agatio started raving about them. It's actually a much better album than i first thought :P.
What happened to the awesome acoustic parts? They are so good (see Moonsheild and Gyroscope)
... now it's the S&M version of 'Fuel', by metallica.
Pretty cool song, this version is better imo. The S&M album is so cool. Two discs of live Metallica and orchestral insanity.

Just got a batch of Otep songs after I remembered a song by them I used to like. I think their new stuff is a lot better in terms of production/song writing. I especially like the drummer though as he is very inventive and adds a nice touch to the band. I hate the clean vocals though as she sounds whiny. Not a patch on the chic from Arch Enemy.

(Some lyrics that are hard to make out)
Black Hearted Evil, Brave Hearted Hero,
I am all I am, all I am.
Go ahead and try to see through me,
Do it if you dare,
One step for a true step bad guy,
Do it, do it, do it, do it!
Can you see all of me,
Walking to my destiny,
Serpentine, what a faulty lie.
Do you remember me?
Captured you what said you'd bring,
I am all, I am all of me.
I am, I am but all of me,
I am, I am but all of me,
I am, I am but all of me,
I am, I am but all of me,
I am, I am only me.
I've been listening/ watching it all morning.

"small, simple, safe price, rise the wake,
and carry me with all of my regrets.
This is not a small cut that scabs, and dries,
and flakes and heals, and i am not afraid to die,
i'm not afraid to bleed, and f**k and fight,
i want the pain of payment,
what's left but a scetion of pygmy sized cuts,
much like the slew of a thousands unwanted f**ks,
would you be my little cut, would you be my thousand f**ks,
and leave mark leaving space for the guilt to be liquid,
to fill and spill over and under my thoughts,
my sad, sorry, selfish cry out to the gutter,
i'm cutting trying to picture your bland, broken heart,
love is not like anything, especially a f**king knife!"

My Chemical Romance - Helena
Long ago
Just like the hearse you die to get in again
We are so far from you
Burning on just like a match you strike to incinerate
The lives of everyone you know
And what's the worst you take (worst you take)
from every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well I've been holding on tonight
[Chorus]
What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Came a time
When every star fall brought you to tears again
We are the very hurt you sold
And what's the worst you take (worst you take)
from every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well I've been holding on tonight
[Chorus]
What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
And if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Can you hear me?
Are you near me?
Can we pretend to leave and then
We'll meet again
When both our cars collide?
[Chorus]
What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
And if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight

With my feet upon the ground
I move myself between the sounds
And open wide to suck it in
I feel it move across my skin
I'm reaching up and reaching out
I'm reaching for the random or
Whatever will bewilder me
Whatever will bewilder me
And following our will and wind
We may just go where no one's been
We'll ride the spiral to the end
And may just go where no one's been

Privileged, a chosen few
Blessed with our time in hell
Witness a divine vision, the day we all fell still.
Rapture of the dying age, a shattered hourglass
Wrath of the warring gods and soon this too shall pass.
It's only getting worse, not worth a moment's regret
Each dawn another curse, every breath a twisting blade
What will be left behind in the ashes of the wake?
An ill wind blows this way, the edge of the envelope burns
Forbearance and my vengance, payment for your intent
Fear and death in the wings, in thrall of those fallen from grace
Petty is as petty does, witness the mass disgrace.
(Fear and death in the wings, in thrall of those fallen from grace
Petty is as petty does, witness the mass disgrace.)
God forbid you read the signs.
Watch for meanings between the lines
Gehenna has now arrived, no hindsight for the blind.
Your trust has been misplaced, believed the lies told to your face
Became another casualty and now it's too late.
You finally made it home, draped in the flag that you fell for.
And so it goes
The ashes of the wake.
It's only getting worse...
This is a band where the more I listen to them the more I love them. This isn't their greatest song though.

"It's just the state of affection

I don't want to be your misconception
No, no, don't want to break the connection
It's just the pent up agression
That drives me into this direction
If I had to ask just one question
"Oh no, how come they don't listen?"
I don't want to slip, I don't want to fall,
I don't want to care, or be here at all,
I don't want to crash, I don't want to burn
I don't want to forget what I've learned"

There's another sucker born
Every minute lord
Take her out and pay for a good time
You never know what you can afford
Another wreck and time to collect
more souvenirs
Gone another million miles
No words for the wear
And there's a sucker born
Every other minute lord
He deserves you more
You knoow I'll only crash this car
I sear to god I'm
wrecking it all
Your happy end
Spin around the block in half the time
I know where you've been
Too bad you're not feeling too bad
You want to be my friend
Got another ride and you're taking off
Met a General Motor man
And there's a sucker born
Every other minute lord
He deserves you more
You knoow I'll only crash this car

Witness shame's parade, the pain of blame repaid
It's ****ing hopeless
Accusations and denial.
Hopeless... demon of another day
Colorless... stoned, solid grey
Emptiness... of promises I made
So faithless... the tenants long betrayed.
Walk the faded line, cursed crawl of time
Silence, the only promise ever kept.
Familiar touch, a ritual to numb the cut
Salvation in vice
Anguish is realizing what could have been, but never was
It's emptiness that fills the cup
Devotion in the method of my fall.
Pointless...futility continuing
Endless…flowing corrupted vein.
Walk the faded Line, cursed crawl of time
Silence the only promise ever kept
It's ****ing hopeless
Hopeless.
Really awesome drumming in this song, and some great ripping guitar riffs.

More industrial <3 I love the lyrics for this song:
I declare war on the world
War in outer space
I declare war in a nutshell
War all over the place
I declare war on every government
War against all odds
I declare war on your inner sanctum
On your blood thirsty gods
I declare war on the axis of morons
All out war on complacent consent
I declare war on the war against drugs
Rape and Slaughter of the innocent
War on big brother
Warmongers and profiteers
War on your dogma dubya
Armageddon's engineers
War in a heartbeat
I declare war on so-called civilization
World trade globalization
Organized desinformation
War on ambassadors of pretense
War on MTV and CNN
Macdonald's walt disney and bethlehem
On christina britney and eminem
I declare war on the world of anti-choice

Yes, I still dwell on Evanescence. Anyhoo, this song is not one of my favorites, it got old the second time I heard it. The CD version sucks even more and the radio version owns.

CD shop finally had this album, so I had to get it while I had the chance. I also bought their DVD ('Used and Abused, In Live We Trust'). 'Free Fall' is playing now, great solo.

Demon hunter has constanly been compared to Slipknot, infact, many people who have heard both think the lyrics are better than Slipknots (Blogcritics). Both Are Nu-metal, so it's not surpising. Anywyas, I give this song a nice 10/10, mainly because the lyrics .
Here's a bit of information about Demon hunter: They kept their identities secret at first, some think it was to get popularity, but that was the opposite of what they were trying to do. They thought of their band as a whole.
"The new self-titled album by Demon Hunter isn't just another nu-metal album that steps up to the table with impotent metal riffs with shallow anthems of deceit and betrayal. Instead, it reads more like a series of letters from a faithful servant who is struggling. He's struggling to deal with his inadequacies. He's fighting to maintain his composure in the face of trials. He's even struggling to stay faithful. He's asking for help, and it's clear that he needs it." - Blogcritics-

Duality
Push my fingers into my eyes...
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache...
But it's made of all the things I am today...
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside...
If the pain goes on...
Aaaaaaaah!
I have screamed until my veins collapsed
I've waited last, my time's elapsed
Now, All I do is live with so much fate
I've wished for this, I've b*tched at that
I've left behind this little fact:
She cannot kill what she did not create
I've gotta say what I've gotta say
And then I swear I'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like one big past
You'll live with me 'cause you left me no choice
I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!
Pull me back together
Our seperate the skin from the bone
Leave me all the Pieces, and then you can leave me
alone
Tell me the reality is better than dream
But I found out the hard way,
Nothing is what it seems!
I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it's made of all the thing I am today
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!
All I've got...all I've got is insane...
All I've got...all I've got is insane...
All I've got...all I've got is insane!
All I've got...all I've got is insane!
I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it's made of all the thing I am today
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!
I love this song. It's so good, and it makes me wanna scream out in anger and just kill everything and anybody in sight :P but, it also calms me down..in a sense o.o; either way, 10/10. Plus, only ONE person can really make me feel like killing everything and anybody in sight n.n

I also have a similar version by The KLF, it's called "Don't Take Five (Take What You Want)" :B
Oh and, it's jazz.

Broken
Such a sad song. I feel like crying to this song.
I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph and I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain
'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
You've gone away, you don't feel me, anymore
The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high, you steal my pain away
There's so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain
'Cause I'm broken when I'm open
And I don't feel like I am strong enough
'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
You've gone away
You don't feel me here anymore

Michael Fordail(sp?), the dude who did guitar for some of Ashlee Simpson's concerts played with his Christian band at the mall not too far from here, named Crimson. He was a pretty cool guy, and he could play guitar great.
T-Bone "Street Preacha"
-The Columbian Rapper, used to be a real... "playa" as you would say, but he went to Christianity. he mixes some spanish with his stuff too.
My lyrics phat like Don Cartagena, you never seen a
Latino Rapper pick up the mic and eat MC's like gelatine
From the Bay area down to Argentina
I be slangin the gospel in crack houses like it was cocina
Mira mija, la firme linya de rao familia
No son Gallinas, killin them demons is a misdemeanah
So we ain't scared of y'all, we lived above the law
Now we got pimps, addicts, thugs
And these hustlas at the altar call
Prayin, sayin thing like forgive me for my evil ways then
Get off their knees and be delievered from 12 years of blazin
Praisin tha Name of Christ, ain't scared to give my life away
For the one who died on the cross and saved
Me when my life was triff, now its alright
God wrote these lyrics, peep the copyright
Buildin an army in a world that dark, so we can bring the light
Raisin veteranos Cristianos that we call hermanos
Deadly like rattle snakes but worse when mics are in our manos
In my cara, no dicen nada, puro Amenasadas
Wack envyous rappers wanna bite like a thousand paranhas
I bring tha heat like a thousand sauna
Filled wit Cubana mammas from Havana
Oye como va, when I rock like Santana
[Chorus]
One of the last street preachas left, poet assasin [what]
Scarface in the flesh, straight ou the west
Where they ride on their enemies
Striptease, pour out liqour for tha diseased
And jack for car keys
[2x]
[T-Bone]
I stay humble and meak
Get on my knees and wash my brethern's feet
You quick to speak and judge, I quick to turn the other cheek
Forgive my foes, 479 times and add 11
Just to equal 70 times 7, Rap Reverend
Preachin, sermons to those thugs livin
Killin, sinnin, feelin that they can be forgiven
Ghetto prison is where they livin, so I make incisions
Cut to the heart, then operate tell em tha sons Arizon
If you ain gettin what I be spittin
Get me grab my weapons
Sawed off K.J.V. wit 66 bullets made for hittin
Straight to the heart, we wrestle not against flesh and blood
Saved thugs, blastin thugs wit God's love
Pump pump you get stucked when I dump
Sawed off, the old man get's hualed off
And thats the way its comin out the west side
Yo I'm preachin Jesus Christ crucified
[Chorus]
[T-Bone]
What up mamma, its that Rap Papa
Don Dadda, the one who used to smoke grama
From Nicaragua, sip champana, hollerin ay caramba
Now Ima redeemed hoodlum tellin em Cristo te ama
Ima bring the drama like Tony Montana
Cuz when demons step to me
They get cut worse then shrimp at BenniHannas
Back in the days hittin weed, smokin roaches
But we ain't no playas, tellin why, we some coaches
I get ferocious then I bury all you c0ckroaches
Get bent of the Holy Ghost and take it by the doses
A super-california-lyricist-p-alidocious
Bibles in my holsters, seen me on the posters
Devil outlined in chalk, I walk the walk and talk the talk
Jehovah knows this
Being a Christians on a day 2 day forget the half way
Cant holler praise the LORD, then smoke and sip the alizay
Or tangaree or you'll get blown up like a hand gernade
I ain't afraid, I slit the devil's throat wit my switch blade
[Chorus]

*Wiki*
"Haggard is a German Gothic Metal Band founded in 1991.
Haggard combines folk, classical, renaissance and medieval music with modern doom metal music."
It's... cool up to now. The female vocal is not that... convincing though. It should be more polished. And the male vocal seems too computarized and not like a genuine growl.
The classical stuff plus metal is cool though <3
