ok, i never really listened to them until tonight. I shrugged off their phenominal hit Clocks, and, well, they never really did anything for me on the radio.
but omg!
I havn't heard something this musically stellar for a while. Ok, it isn't as interesting as it should be, the lyrics generally suck, and most songs are rather shallow. But I love it how they manage to make all the elements of the song build up on each other. All the sounds just fuse together to form this huge, powerful, cascading rythm.
my kind of music.

kinda 90's popish. Suprisingly, its not really vengeful, but at sometimes slow and sad.
"
I hate the world today
Your so good to me, I know
But I can’t change
Tried to tell you but you looked at me like maybe I’m an angel underneath
Innocent and sweet
Yesterday I cried
You must have been relieved to see the softer side
I can understand how you’d be so confused
I don’t envy you
I’m a little bit of everything
All rolled into one
I’m a b****
I’m a lover
I’m a child
I’m a mother
I’m a sinner
I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I’m your hell
I’m you dream
I’m nothing in between
You know you wouldn’t want it any other way"
7/10 IMO, I'm not realy fond of the voice of the girl singing it, but the lyrics are awesome

Comment: I kinda lied about the lyrics part. The one verse above came from the booklet from the album I got where this song debuted on, and I didn't really hear it being said anywhere on it.
That being said, what makes me keep listening to this is the ending, which is the most hardcore I've heard Manabe ever do with bass (or, at least I think it's bass). The rest is flat-out smooth yet with a rocky after taste. Definately a keeper.

Album: Drawing Black Lines
Song: One-Armed Man (Play On) [Music Video]
Lyrics:
Submerged in endless (trailing off, trailing off!)
I watch them fade by (sigh, sigh!)
Lifeless and blank-faced (paining on, paining on!)
I see...
The face I use to be
They want to feel this (straining on, straining on!)
They want to sense this (now, NOW!)
Drunk with existence (waking me, waking me!)
I'll show you something you can feel
[After chorus is played once: I'll show you someone you can feel]
They search and strain and drink and stagger
They play on...but I'll never, ever look back
Zombies staring, looking my way
Crying out for something...
They can't fill their stomachs with enough to satisfy
The hunger growing
Needing something real
Zombies staring, looking my way
crying out for something they can't feel
Play, on stray on, in these wicked days on
Play on and understand that in your drunken stupor you
are dying
Zombies staring, looking my way
Reaching out for something, anything
Anything to keep them numbing
Keep them plunging far from knowing...
Comment: I love this song. I may have posted about it before... maybe not, but anyways. The music video is really odd, but the song just rocks. The lyrics are done very well.

Liked End of All Things much more than LD50 for a long time. Listened to LD50 again, fell in love. It takes time, but after you listen to it enough, LD50 just opens up the skies. From the album "Character"
My favourite song. Knocks off "In Defiance of Existance" and a few others.
Also, it ahs the best lyrics of any song I have ever heard.
Lyrics
Quote
fail to resonate
frayed ends of our binding threads
will disintegrate
By laws our physique state
failure to communicate
None too sentient
Hear no, see no works its magic
Against all function
Ongoing choices
the trials will end
filter the nonsense
and laugh at what’s left
Indecision/non vision
what matters taken away
Look at the shell that is you
Empty, fragile, weak
Soon the battle is over
Lost to Apathy
So overcome with pointless tears
to test pain receptors
nothing matters ever here
put up a non reaction
These eyes will never see
covered up from reality
Look at the shell that is you
Empty, fragile, weak
Soon this battle is over
Lost to Apathy
The unknown world that you deny
no priority
Cannot fail if you never start
How predictable
I want to know
Where did it end?
for madness to start
Always the sceptic
Never be part
Introvertive /non descriptive
It matters not
Look at the shell that is you
Empty, fragile, weak
Soon this battle is over
Lost to Apathy
I urge any metal fan to buy the album, single, or aquire the track through a file sharing program >_> .

Walk through the streets of PA and you may see her.
Go up to her and say you're a believer.
Disgusting trash on MTV it makes her smile.
The guy from Satan's embassy put him on trial.
Because... Marylin Manson ate my girlfriend.
Satan consumed her mind, and he may do it again.
Marylin Manson ate my girlfriend.
She once believed in the truth, now she believes in sin.
She denies God when she has the chance to live for Him.
The thought of it makes me cringe. Her future looks dim.
She'd rather gaze in Satan's eyes than on a steeple.
I'm really starting to despise beautiful people.

Album: Safe From The Losing Fight
Song: Hallelujah
I'm sick and tired of watching over you.
Never knowing what you're gonna do.
Every step you take is closer and closer to falling far away.
What's It gonna take, what's It take to make you see.
If it all came down tonight.
Safe from the losing fight.
Just know I only want to hear you say.
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
He's alive in me today.
Everyday you search for something new.
You turn your back on things that make you choose.
And everytime you do, you're closer and closer to falling far away.
What's It gonna take, what's It take to make you see...
Probably my favorite song. The lyrics just rock and the vocals own. It's Christian Rock/Screamo.

Fist in the face for the time smothered angel
By Satan my scythe will shallow every hallow
Open now dear blood soaked soil
By Satan I pour magma down throat.
Come ghostfaced hungry shadows of shadows
By Satan I drink the darkness they drewl
With victorious weapons
I will melt every angels wings
Triumph of the will striking
Striking to kill
Cloak the earth with a thousand nights
And a billion dead
We toast and drink from and chalice
Filled with shreds of life
And know my eyes are knifes
To shred every f***ing stream
Of Christian light
Love the intro, total chaos from this insane eastern European death metal band.

It's sad, but it has a happy beat *agrees* A friend sent it.
"I wanna know where you belong,
I wanna know why I sing this song.
I try to show how much I feel,
is that a dream or is it real?`
I never look where you belong,
until I'm gonna sing my song.
Is it a lie or is it true?
So many tears I've cried for you.
A Million tears that i have cried,
I wish you where right by my side.
I try to show how much I care,
believe in me I will be there.
I never knew where you belong,
whenever you just hear my song.
Is it a lie or is it true?
So many tears I've cried for you"

Name of Song: The Celts
Comments: I love this song. Saol na saol means life of lives. Isn't that wonderfully poetic? In this case, Saol na saol means forever without end.

I love music by Enya. Its New Age Genre.
Doesn't anyone listen to New Age here? It calms and relaxes you when you are feeling down. I'm surprised most teens don't bother to check it out.

On a scale of 1 to 10 in heaviness, Usher being a 1, The Berzerker being a 10, this definataly comes in at at least 9.5. Bloody awesome stuff. Gotta listen to it through a few times to be able to distinguish the different beats, riffs and vocal differences.

Its a good song, although i prefer some of their others tracks such as Shine on you Crazy Diamond, or the ever-popular Another Brick in the wall (all 7 or so parts >_>)
...and its just switched to The Great Gig in the Sky, this one is good as well.

Album: What Remains
Song: Prepare To Meet Thy God
prepare to meet thy God is what I say to you
I can't make you believe what I believe is true
all the power and the glory of our Father
for I believe that there is no other
I will tear off this cover of sin and shame
look to the sky and fall on my knees
I will tear off this cover of sin and shame
look to the sky and fall on my knees
fight for my God above
fight for the God of love
fight, hear the Spirit sing
fight, hear the Spirit calling me
all the power and the glory of my Father
for I believe that there is no other
I will tear off this cover of sin and shame
look to the sky and fall on my knees
fight for the God of love
fight for the God of love
fight, hear the Spirit sing
fight, hear the Spirit calling me
so many faces, just look at his troubles
you push him to the ground and his body trembles
you kick him in the face and you mock him
and all he says is "Father, forgive them"
---This song just plain out ruels. it'a a song proclaiming that if you are a person who used to believe, but don't know, then you were never a true believer to begin with. It brings alot of riends at school to mind, who just fell like that. Awsome lyrics

Song: "Against All Odds"
Rating: 5/5
"Against All Odds"
How can I just let you walk away
Just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you (ooh..)
You're the only one who really knew me at all
How can you just walk away from me
When all I can do is watch you leave?
'Cause we shared the laughter and the pain
And even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now
There's just an empty space
There's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
But take a look at me now
There's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against the odds
And that's what I've gotta face
I wish I could just make you turn around
Turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you
So many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now
There's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
But take a look at me now
There's just an empty space
But to wait for you is all I can do
And that's what I've gotta face
Take a look at me now
I'll just be standing here
And you coming back to me
Is against the odds
And that's a chance I've gotta face
-This song is good to listen to when you've had the worst day and you feel like everything is about to collapse on you. It rules and it is a remake from the one Phil Collins did. I think this version is actually better. Sorry Phil ='(

Song: Get Up Kids
Rating: 3/5
Long way from home,
lost by an echo,
I never have known,
I've got pictures to prove I was there,
but you don't care,
here's me overseas,
cross the pond,
by the Dover Peeks,
I've smuggled myself into new nationalities,
I'd think you'd be proud of me,
there is room to believe
out of sight, out of mind, out of reach, start over
It's no way to begin.
Long way from home,
lost by an echo,
and never have known,
I've got pictures to prove I was there,
but you don't care,
there is room to believe,
out of sight, out of mind, out of reach, start over,
start over
It's no way to begin,
there is room to believe
out of sight, out of mind, out of reach, start over,
start over,
It's no way to begin,
way to begin
way to begin.

Artist: Seventh Day Slumber
Album: Once Upon A Shattered Life
Song: Caroline
My Rating: 10/10 - probably the best song by this band. It's soft, bt a great addition to their music.
Where do I begin?
There’s so much I want to say to make it easier
Tomorrow’s on it’s way
Do you believe I want to take your painful memories?
I know you want to run away
I know that you can’t see tomorrow
Chorus:
Caroline, let me wipe away your tears and give you life,
Make you feel beautiful again
Caroline, don’t throw it all away
I’m here tonight to take away your pain.
Yesterday is gone and everything that made you cry has fallen to the ground
I’m here to bring you home, I will always take you back
You haven’t let me down
I know you want to run away
I know that you can’t see tomorrow
(Chorus)
And when you’re feeling al alone and you can’t go on,
Remember I am here
And when you think you’ve gone too far,
I‘ll meet you where you are
My arms are open wide

Artist: Thousand Foot Krutch
Album: Set It Off
Song: When In Doubt
Sat upon your bed,
You've said the things you've said
And I cannot believe that you seem so naive
We exchanged our poetry,
You seem to think a lot like me
I'll guess I'll just assume that we could talk about most anything
Then I ask have you ever felt abandoned?
Felt so lost that you were stranded,
Just like all the walls are closing in
And you were left inside
Have you ever felt like your days were numbered?
Stuck under a tree in thunder
Seems to be no way out!
But there is One when in doubt!!!
Ready for another day!
Slowly watch yah waste away,
Havin' fun, bein' cool
Like we did in high school,
Elementary romance feelin' nervous at the dance,
Crack a smile hold it down,
Whatever the circumstance,
Sex, Drugs, Hadda be cool,
All the things we learned in school,
Typical teenage machines,
Anyone tell me what this means?
I could learn, I could try,
Never really had an alibi
Wish I did, that’s no lie
(chorus)
And you ask why
When you feel like you could fly
Gotta know I got the answer for yah baby,
Drives yah crazy it's not over
So much more to life then this, why?
When you feel like you could fly
Gotta know I got the answer for yah baby,
Drives yah crazy it's not over
So much more to life then this
Things seem so hallucinary,
In the corners of my mind they scare me,
I know yah never meant to desert me,
Just like yah never really meant to hurt me
Then I ask have you ever felt abandoned?
Felt so lost that you were stranded,
Just like all the walls are closing in
And you were left inside
Have you ever felt like your days were numbered?
Stuck under a tree in thunder
Seems to be no way out!
But there is One when in doubt!!!
(chorus)
So much more to life than this!!!

Anyways..., The songs are Memphis will be layed to waste, and Vertabraille: Choke the Chief called Desperation (from "Oh, God, the Aftermath")
Artist: Norma Jean
Album: O' God, The Aftermath
Song: Bayonetwork: Vultures In Vivid Color
We walked on glass all day long, with eyes rolled back.
It came with smiles, it came with gestures, and it came with motives.
Investing flowers in one hand and a blade in the other,
This is between me and this blade, and my heart.
Distributing rusty knives in these countless attractive letters,
With a directional diagram of a guilty heart.
"Insert knife here."
Lack of thought on this subject has attested catastrophic.
Come one, come all, introduce knife to heart.
With our eyes rolled back.

Album: Never Take Friendship Personal
Song: A Day Late
So let me get this straight
Say now you love me all along
What made you hesitate
To tell me in words what you really feel
I can see it in your eyes
You mean all of what you say
I remember so long ago
See, I felt the same way
Now we both have spearate lives and lovers (and lovers)
Insignificantly enough we both have significant others
Only time will tell
Time will turn and tell
We are who we were then
Could of been lovers
But at least your still my day late friend
We are who,
We are who we were then
Who knew what we knew now
Could of been more
But at least your still my day late friend
We are who,
We are who we were then
But thoughts may change
And times they rearange
I don't know who you are anymore
But thoughts come and go
And this I know
I'm not who you recall anymore
But I must confess
You're so much more than I remember
Can't help but entertain this thought
Thoughts of us together
We are who we were then
Could of been lovers
But at least your still my day late friend
We are who,
We are who we were then
Who knew what we knew now
Could of been more
But atleast your still my day late friend
We are who,
We are who we were then
My day late friend
So let me get this straight
All these years and you were nowhere to be found
And now you want me for your own
But you're a day late and my love's just still renown
We are who we were then
Could of been lovers
But at least your still my day late friend
We are who,
We are who we were then
Who knew what we knew now
Could of been more
But at least your still my day late friend
We are who,
We are who we were then

Album: Mmhmm
Song: More Than Useless
One of my favorite RK songs. I give it a 10/10 just cuz it rules. The lyrics are thoughtful and add clarity to the meaning.
I feel like
I would like
To be somewhere else doing something that matters
And I’ll admit here
While I sit here
My mind wastes away and my doubts start to gather
What’s the purpose
It feels worthless
So unwanted like I’ve lost all my value
I can’t find it
Not in the least bit
And I’m just scared, so scared that I’ll fail you
And sometimes I think that I’m not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I’m even here at all
But then you assure me
I’m a little more than useless
And when I think that I can’t do this
You promise me that I’ll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
So I say if I can’t
Do something significant
I’ll opt to leave most opportunities wasted
And nothing trivial
That life could give me will
Measure up to what might have replaced it
Too late look
My date book
Is packed full of days that were empty and now gone
And I bet
That regret
Will prove to get me to improve in the long run
I’m a little more than useless
And when I think that I can’t do this
You promise me that I’ll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
I’m a little more than useless
And I never knew I knew this
Was gonna be the day
Gonna be the day
That I would do something right
Do something right for once
I noticed
I know this
Week is a symbol of how I use my time
Resent it
I spent it
Convincing myself the world’s doing just fine
Without me
Doing anything of any consequence
Without me
Showing any sign of ever making sense
Of my time
It’s my life
And my right
To use it like I should
Like he would
For the good
Of everything that I would ever know

Song: Everything About You
Be my light in the darkened room
I'm on my face and I'm calling you
I can't fathom all you've done for me
Everytim it finds me on my knees
Like sinlight in the winter cold
Everything about you, it takes my breath
Away...Hallelujah
I tried this once without you and it was my
Great mistake...Hallelujah
Questions fade when you invade
You chase all my fears away
With your love in my atmosphere
All confusion disappears
And nothing but your truth remains
Questions fade, you remain
You are color on a page of white, bright
Like eyes beneath black lights
Like a glowing city on the plains, you call
My name
Hallelujah

Now it's Superchic(k) and the song it Bowling Ball. It's an awesome, and it's from the only Girl band I like, the Ropck group's just awesome.
Artist: Superchick
Album: Beauty From Pain
Song: Bowling Ball
Maybe he'll change
Maybe things will get better
Maybe it would be nice
If he wouldn't always put you down
Maybe things will work out
But maybe they'll never
And I think that you've given him
The benefit of the doubt
Chorus:
You need that boy like a bowling ball dropped on your head
Which means not at all
You have too much to give to live to waste your time on him
You need that boy like a bowling ball dropped on your head
Which means not at all
You have too much to give to live to waste your time on him
Maybe he'll change
If you could be better
But maybe it's not your fault
He's checking out the waitress now
But someday you'll change
One day you're stronger
And you will have changed enough
And it's time to get out
Chorus
You have too much to give to live to waste your time on him
Chorus

Just from you saying that I am interested in hearing that song, and if it's what I'm expecting, I'll reccomend some real guitar work for you  .
The Agony Scene - Scapegoat

Take me and let me in
Don't break me and shut me out
Chorus:
So take me and let me in
Don't break me and shut me out
I lit my pain on fire
and I watched it all burn down
and now I'm dancing in the ashes
and there's no one else around
Because I wanna be a part of something
This is just a story of a broken soul
Hook:
As days go by, my heart grows cold
I can't seem to let this all pass me by
Chorus x2
I'm burning in the heavens
and I'm drowning in the hell
My soul is in a coma
and none of my friends can tell
That I'm reaching out and getting nothing
This is just a story of a broken soul
Hook
Chorus x2
Don't shut me out
Does anyone around me feel the same
Just put your fist up and vent your pain
Does anyone around me feel the same
Put your fist up and vent your pain
Does anyone around me feel the same
Put your fist up and vent your pain
Does anyone around me feel the same
Put your fist up and vent your pain
Hook
Chorus x2
Hook
Take me
Don't break me

Well, I actually don't have the album; I'm only listening to a 30-second preview in the iTunes music store. I can't wait to actually get the album after I see the movie!

Album: The Edge of the World Party
Artist: Dan Meyer (smashmethod)
Comments: This is an album I got from a guy on dA (here: [link]) It's sort of techno-ish. The song I'm listening to right now is really playful :3 It's sort of full of bells.
Oh and, none of the songs have lyrics, just some of those random things that they say on techno songs or, there's a song where you can hear stuff on the background as if someone were randomly going through various chanels on a T.V.

Great song, by far worthy of the metal title. This is probably one of the best on this CD.

This song is just mad. They manage to all play seemingly different tunes and beats, but it all sounds good together as a song, really good stuff.
