an awesome rock song, I really don't know how to explain it though
quote:
"Whats the purpose? It feels worthless
So unwanted like I've lost all my value
I can't find it, not in the least bit
and I'm just scared, so scared that I'll fail you
And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I'm even here at all
But then you assure me
I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once"
also their song "down in flames" is pretty awesome, its more of a religious song, but its got a metal-ish sound to it

It's a rather famous classical piece and, one of my favourites :O I think they played it for the inauguration (or so) of the World Cup in France. If you saw it, you might remember some guys using plain metal garbage cans as drums o.o
Amusing fact: It appeared on Digimon at times XD;

"Everytime I try to make you smile
you're always feeling sorry for yourself
everytime i try to make you laugh
you can't, you're too touch
you think you're lovelesss
Is that too much that I'm asking for?
Chorus:
Can't you see that you lie to yourself
you can't see the world through a miror
it won't be too late when the smoke clears
cause I am still here
can't find where I am
lying here alone In fear
afraid of the dark
no one to claim, alone again."
kind of a slow song, you hear more of her singing than you do the band.

song: somewhere only we know
album: Hopes and fears
comments: kind of a slow song, but not quiet. The piano in it is really prominent
quote:
"I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?"

I am lost in this see-through,
I think you lost yourself too.
Through out all of this confusion,
I think we'll somehow make it through.
Each day just drags on by,
bringing with you a new line.
Just when I think I could die.
You come and bring me back to life
and you said..
[Chorus]
You can't change the way you feel.
you can't tell this ain't this real,
cuz this is real.
and in the end this is all I got.
So I'm gonna hold, gonna hold
on and on and on and on and on.
And now you've got me watching your eyes.
got me waiting just to see.
If it goes the way it never will,
your eyes are watching me.
Oh, and I practice all things I'd say,
to tell you how I feel.
But when I finally get my chance,
It'll all seem so surreal.
And now you've got me thinking about
the first time that I met you,
and now I can't forget you,
now I won't forget you.
And you said..
[Chorus]
You can't change the way you feel.
you can't tell this ain't this real,
cuz this is real.
and in the end this is all I got.
So I'm gonna hold, gonna hold
on and on and on and on and on.
o.o; the lyrics are really touching, and yeah there are life and death hints in it. 9/10

Quote: I thought that I could always count on you,
I thought that nothing could become between us two.
We said as long as we would stick together,
We’d be alright,
We’d be ok.
But I was stupid
And you broke me down
I’ll never be the same again.
So thank you for showing me,
That best friends can not be trusted,
And thank you for lying to me,
Your friendship and good times we had you can have them back

quote
"Now, don't just walk away
Pretending everything's ok
And you don't care about me
And I know there's just no use
When all your lies become your truths and I don't care...
Could you look me in the eye
And tell me that you're happy now,
Would you tell it to my face or have I been erased,
Are you happy now?
Are you happy now?
You took all there was to take,
And left with an empty plate
And you don't care about it,
And I, I've given up this game
I'm leaving you with all the blame cause I don't care"

We're the tear in your eyes
We're the reason you cry

song: If you're not the one
comments: kind of a slow song, you can really hear drums, but they're played quietly... I'll stop confusing you now :(
quote
"I don't know why you're so far away
But I know that this much is true
We'll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
And I wish that you could be the one I die with
And I pray in you're the one I build my home with
I hope I love you all my life
I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms?
'Cause I miss you, body and soul so strong that it takes my breath away
And I breathe you into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today
'Cause I love you, whether it's wrong or right
And though I can't be with you tonight
And know my heart is by your side."

If it stops you from running away
So give me this chance
To make the wrongs right, to say
Don't don't don't walk away
I promise
I won't let you down (you down)
If you take my hand tonight

"I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
My scars remind me that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel
Drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
I'm pissed cause you came around
Why don't you just go home
Cause you channel all your pain
And I can't help you fix yourself
You're making me insane
All I can say is
[Chorus:]
I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel
I tried to help you once
Against my own advice
I saw you going down
But you never realized
That you're drowning in the water
So I offered you my hand
Compassions in my nature
Tonight is our last stand"

I really like In Flames latest album. And I can relate to this song for some reason. 8/10
Could it be a new day?
Fear in me so deep
You push me out, I feel far
The absence, close to me
The other side I crawl
You push me out, I fall
Heal my wounds with everything
Away you complicate me
Sick of cycles, drop to zero
A while just like last times
My least favorite re-run
Sick of cycles, I bounce in gray
Escape familiar home
Memories remains alone
Reality trapped inside
The wicked descend
Testing higher mentality
I conquer myself through this
A furious path to walk
New space exists beyond
In silence I dwell displeased
Remain with the seed of unfulfillment
Heal my wounds with everything
Away you complicate me
Sick of cycles, drop to zero
A while just like last times
My least favorite re-run
Sick of cycles, I bounce in gray
Escape familiar home
Memories remains alone
Reality trapped inside
The wicked descend - I hide
Heal my wounds with everything
Away you complicate me
Sick of cycles, drop to zero
A while just like last times
My least favorite re-run
Sick of cycles, I bounce in gray
Escape familiar home
Memories remains alone
Reality trapped inside
The wicked descend - I hide
Escape familiar home
Memories remains alone

As I LOVE Pain of Salvation, I can not find a single thing that's bad about their songs. 10/10
Mother, at my first breath
Every paragraph was set
As I inhaled the scent of debt
Mother, that first stolen air
On papers saying I'm not mine
"We crown you, the King of Loss...
Better get on your feet
Best be one of us
Better get yourself on the list
For success
Dress up as a State investment
Charm the press
A breed from the seed of only
One short breath"
Mother, hence we cry:
Some of us are free to stand
Most of us are bound to lie
In those bloodstained beds
No one can afford to pay
The prices on their babies' heads
I am the King of Loss!
For every dear smile I feel I'm not one of us
"An ivory coin for every plus on your stone"
"One more governmental blade
Now drawn from its sheath
Quite a bargain I'd say since either way
You will live by the show of our teeth!"
Mother, I wish that we could talk
You see
I'm not fit to play this game
Bound by its rules just the same
My talents turned to talons
Every monetary pile
Will buy me a precious smile...
smile...
So smile for the King of Loss
Feed from the juices
Bleeding from this cross
Then tell me our lives mean more
Than this vain thirst!
"A governmental blade
Drawn from its private sheath
Quite a bargain I'd say, since either way
You'll be living by the show of our..."
I hold up my head
This was my life
Now I'm with the dead
So I lay my bare neck
This is your call
Dub a king or a wreck
(Mother, listen to me mother)
This was my life
This is your call
Is this all I am? Is this all I'll be?
This is not enough!
We're all crying for respect and attention
We're all dying for a painless redemption!
This is not what I wanted
But for every drop of blood I lost myself
I, too, lay bleeding on the sidewalk...
Mother
Long live the dying king
"A governmental blade
Now drawn from its private sheath
Quite a bargain I'd say, since either way
I will live by the show of your teeth..."

Good Charolette: The World Is Black
T_T Again, this song is a bit relfecting. 9.9/10
quote: Living in this place it's always been this way
There's no one doing nothing so there's nothing changed
And I can't live when this world just keeps dying
It's dying
People always tell me this is part of the plan
That God's got everybody in His hands
But I can only pray that God is listening
Is He listening?
We're living in this world
Growing colder everyday
Nothing can stay perfect now I see
But the world is black
And hearts are cold
And there's no hope
That's what we're told
And we can't go back
It won't be the same
Forever changed
By the things we've seen, seen, seen

Remember the time I couldn't speak,
Everybody heard.
The pin didn't drop; it came and crashed down.
Then there was the time I couldn't walk,
Everybody laughed.
So entertaining was this breakdown.
The beginning is so calm and relaxing. A really great and slightly addictive song: 8/10

"Moving Mountains" By Kids in the Way
Bridges are burning, heads are turning and the sky is painted red.
Your voice grows calm inside my head.
Cars are crashing, buildings collapsing and your whispering in my ear,
come with me my dear.
Like rushing water, our praises are to you.
Like roaring thunder our voices shake the earth.
We're moving mountains, just to get to you.
We're moving mountains, moving mountains, just to get to you.
We're moving mountains, moving mountains to get to you.
EDIT: Oh! Forgot to add, the guy in my sig is the lead singer of Kids in the Way.

Very good and powerful track. All their stuff is like that mind - ace vocals and just really good music. Neon has commented they sound a bit like Enya mixed with Rammstein which is kinda right. The lead singer does sound a lot like Enya. And she does a good job in this song.

Artist: the Mars Volta
Album: De-Loused in the Comatorium
I was recently introduced to the Mars Volta. I imported my brother's CDs onto my computer last night, so I can now listen to them whenever I want! The song (and the rest of the album) features amazing vocals and equally wicked guitar/drums (and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea on trumpet). They are very diverse and different (for me, anyway); many of their songs are multilingual and go through many style changes (from prog rock to salsa to almost a funeral dirge).

One of the 387 songs from my MP3 player (Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiments, and Stand Ablaze by In Flames are a couple of favourites though).
The time is now
Please tell me how
Set ablaze...
Crying,
Remembering how it used to be
Scarred for eternity
Was it meant to be?
A life in harmony...
Bleeding, regretting...
Solitary life
Committing suicide
Seeking sanctuary
From this world, contrary
Stand Ablaze
Screaming
As the flames caress my face
Stand Ablaze...

But I still haven't sung the last line
On my way down..
I'm not ready to lay, not ready to fade
I'm not ready to die

With every minute ticking by I'm getting ready to leave

great song with a nice story and message
"
A modest man from Mandrake
Travelled rich to the city
He had a need to discover
A use for his newly found wealth
Because he was human
Because he had goodness
Because he was moral
They called him insane
Delusions of grandeur
Visions of splendor
A manic depressive
He walks in the rain
Eyes wide open
Heart undefended
Innocence untarnished...
Cinderella Man
Doing what you can
They can't understand
What it means
Cinderella Man
Hang on to your plans
Try as they might
They cannot steal your dreams
In the betrayal of his love he awakened
To face a world of cold reality
And a look in the eyes of the hungry
Awakened him to what he could do
He held up his riches
To challenge the hungry
Purposeful motion
For one so insane
They tried to fight him
Just couldn't beat him
This manic depressive
Who walks in the rain"

Guns n' Roses - Paradise City rated 10/10 by me
CHORUS x2
Take me down to the paradise city
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Take me home (Oh, won't you please take me home)
Just an urchin livin' under the street
I'm a hard case that's tough to beat
I'm your charity case
So by me somethin' to eat
I'll pay you at another time
Take it to the end of the line
Rags to riches
Or so they say
You gotta
Keep pushin' for the fortune and fame
You know it's, it's all a gamble
When it's just a game
You treat it like a capitol crime
Everybody' doin' their time
CHORUS x2
Strapped in the chair of the city's gas chamber
Why I'm here, I can't quite remember
The surgoen general say's it's hazardous to breathe
I'd have another cigarette
But I can't see
Tell me that you're gonna believe
CHORUS x2
So far away x4
Capitain America's been torn apart
Now he's a court jester
With a broken heart
He said turn me around
And take me back to the start
I must be losing my mind
"Are you blind?!"
I've seen it all a mllion times
CHORUS x4
I want to go
I want to know
Oh, won't you please take me home
I want to see
Oh, look at me
Oh, won't you please take me home
Take me down to the paradise city
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Take me home (Oh, won't you please take me home)
Take me down to the paradise city
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Oh, won't you please take me home
Take me down
Oh yeah
Beat me down
Oh, won't you please take me home
I want to see
Oh, look at me
Oh, won't you please take me home
I want to see
Boy, I'm gonna be mean
Oh, oh take me home
Take me down to the paradise city
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Oh, won't you please take me home
I want to go
I want to know
Oh, won't you please take me hooooooome

From the album: World Funeral
Quote
It's how I use it and what I do
Came to break the spell you're under
Remain to your instincts true
It's not a sin to take what you want
You only fall with self restrain
Loose the guilt that your world haunt
I take away your pain
Don't care what is being written
Piss on what is being preached
Like the snake mesmerize the kitten
Rip the priest head off - don' need that leech
Came to give you all you wanted
Hear my truth
Star that fell to shed a light
Over elder and youth
Never listened to no god's answers
Scars to proof
Desolate cast out and risen
Cloven hoof
Hear the church bell rings
As the angels sings
All they brings for the eternally jinxed
And kings is mere dead insects wings
Lost control of creation
Corruption, intimidation
God is just a bitter pig
Who carries pure black hate
Can you see the genius in uttermost ferociousness?
Ruthless you say I say charity judgment defeats you
God bless
Knifes oh christ carves "love" in your flesh
Darkness of heaven a bottomless pit
Loose your soul and walk though life dead
God replaced it with a piece of sh*t
Cloven hoof
Grab on to the vision
Hate through attrition
The sh*t in your life that
Makes you wish you'd die
Crush the oppression
With ruthless

Rremember I'm
Right even
When I lie.
Great instrumentation and vocals, though the lyrics are questionable (lets just hope Izar doesn't read them or all hell will break loose).

Comment: This is definately gonna be one of my favorite songs when I own the game on my upcoming birthday. It's a nice mix of casual techno and turntablism. The Japanese is superb and complex.

Quote: "And the man at the back said,
'Everyone attack!'
And it turned into a ballroom blitz!
And the girl in the corner said,
'Boy, I wanna warn ya,
It'll turn into a ballroom blitz!'
Ballroom blitz! Ballroom blitz!
Ballroom blitz! Ballroom blitz!"
Comment: Excuse me while I get hyper to this song ...
... Okay, I'm better now. :D
But seriously, you should know by now that anything that gets me hyped up is something I'd download. This may be a old song, but it's entertaining.

Lyrics:
Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help!
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done before.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.
When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.

Lyrics:
h, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby, picks up the rice
in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face
that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie, writing the words
of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working, darning his socks
in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby, died in the church
and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie, wiping the dirt
from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Needler gun your so wonderful, you and me, so deadly
Needler gun, when Im holding you, they laugh at me, because your pink
You are beautiful, no matter what they say, those nerds wont bring us down
You are beautiful in every single way, those nerds wont bring us down, Oh no,
I think its needler time today
Running around on the battle field, got sex appeal
cause I dual wield
so keep your sword, keep your smg, feel the pain, of needle brain,
you are beautiful no matter what they say, words cant bring u down, you are beatiful in every single way, cause words cant bring you down, oph no, so dont you bring me down today.....
